We first visited Couples Sans Souci more than 20 years ago and have returned several times since then. We have not been there in many years but had an opportunity to visit for three nights this month and decided to see what it was like. We were not disappointed. This is a beautiful, unique property and as long as you know what you are getting into you will be pleased. It is not like all of the new cookie cutter resorts that all look the same, instead it provides you with an exotic location and unique facilities that provide a special experience. The food is exceptional and the service is great. We stayed in one of the classic suites and loved it, but if you need to have everything brand-new ask for one of the renovated rooms. We saw one and it looked lovely. If you want a perfect beach, go to Negril. If you don't like a lot of steps and walking lush grounds, this isn't for you. But if you love a beautiful, classic resort with friendly service, good drinks and a true Jamaican atmosphere with out of this world food, nice people and good entertainment, go here. We were glad we did.

We arrived at Couples Sans Souci to be warmly greeted by the lobby staff with a cool towel to refresh. This resort was recommended by our travel agent and it did not disappoint. The week was everything I hoped for - well appointed clean rooms, great view from our balcony, great pool area, nice beach, friendly people, great food and quiet. We especially enjoyed the Casanova restaurant - food and service was exceptional. We also enjoyed all the inclusive extras - golf (great course!), hobie sailing, boat rides, excursion to Dunn Falls ( a highlight!). A trip of a lifetime!

I needed to get away from the work force and it was over 3 years for a vacation. My husband said it was time for me to escape and we did. The food was fabulous. We enjoyed the peaceful time to reconnect with each other. The staff was enjoyable. Weather was also fabulous. Although we wanted to do more excursions and sightseeing, due to an injury before the trip this wasn't allowable, we had a get experience and plan on returning.

This trip was everything I ever wanted! I got the room block that we wanted and the view was spectacular! The food was to die for! It was so lush, tons of greenery and the giant tree was one of my favorite parts! We went for walks every day and didn't usually run into anyone else! They brought a tray of goodies to our room every morning and for the wedding they put flower petals on the bed for us when they did turn down service! I can't say enough good things! We didn't want to really do anything on this trip and we DIDN"T!!! But, if you wanted to there were lots of things to do there!

Spent a week at CSS at the beginning of July. Our room was in building A, overlooking the main pool. We felt this was an ideal spot close to the pool, beach, and primary restaurants. The main pool was the place to be during the day. We met some wonderful guests and spent hours laughing and talking. What most impressed us were the number of repeat guests. There is a rock garden near the lake where guests place rocks to commemorate their stays. We met several guests and observed innumerable rocks of guests who had stayed ten or more times. Do have lunch at the beach restaurant and try the fish sandwich. This is also a great spot for a more casual dinner We must give special mention to Simone and Mitzi in the spa. We enjoyed two couples massages and a reflexology session. Well worth it! The treatment cabanas are located in a serene location overlooking the water. I recommend taking advantage of the Dunn River Falls tour. It is a short drive from the hotel and included in the amenities. Do not bother taking items with you as you tour the falls as you will be too busy heeding your footsteps up the falls. The van driver will take care of your bags while you tour and the vendors will gladly come to the bus to collect funds from any purchase you may make. If you are up for other activities, give early morning yoga a try. The instructor is memorable and teaches a lovely class. The water sports staff indulged me for a little sail- a real treat! My request to the resort would be to provide some shade in the pool adjacent to the Fitness Center. We loved the pool and smoothie bar but could only enjoy the pool once when we caught a cloudy day. Hoping for another trip next year to CSS!
