Grand Velas was AMAZING! From the moment you step foot on this property you will be blown away. You’ll have plenty of activities to keep you well entertained, or if you just want to relax, you can do that too! We were there on an awards trip and were able to use more than one of the properties on sight!

Grand Velas is amazing! Definitely a 5 star hotel! We were impressed from the moment we made it here. We were supposed to have ambassador suite, but ended up being upgraded upon arrival bc of rooms filling up due to businesses being here for incentives. The resort was quiet most of the time we were here. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely find the Zen pool if you haven't it's like you're in a dream or a magazine! Best of all was our concierge Carolina. She made our trip so special. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and all the little surprises were amazing. She was super attentive! She even was able to get us the hockey game we wanted to watch in our room! Overall this place is amazing and we definitely we will definitely be back and we will request Carolina! Thank you for the amazing hospitality for our first time here. It was a very enjoyable experience.

The hospitality of Grand Velas Riviera Maya was over the top. We knew it would be good but didn’t see greatness coming. The restaurants were delicious, the bars fantastic. Chaka the Mayan restaurant on site was delicious. We also did a Rum tasting experience with Orlando that was educational and delicious. This was an overall fantastic experience and we are already planning the next trip down. Either sitting on the beach while the staff are there for you every need with the all inclusive spirits that are fantastic and high end to sitting in the room in your own personal plunge pool having refreshments from the full stocked snack and beverage refrigerator you will not ever really need anything. If you can think of it they most likely have it for you.

Outstanding. The room, the service, the food, the proximity to the ocean—it was all above and beyond. Everyone on staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, and we felt so welcome the entire time. We were particularly impressed with Chaka restaurant. We will be back.

My husband and I visited Grand Velas Riviera Maya shortly after getting engaged 11 years ago and loved it. Now married and 3 kids later, we decided to return for round two to celebrate our 10 year anniversary as a family . We stayed in an ocean view ambassador room with 2 queen beds. It was spacious and worked well for our family of 5. There was a mini crib waiting in the room when we arrived, and it was perfect for our 18 month old. (We highly recommend the slumber pod to help with naps especially!) We really enjoyed having the plunge pool on the balcony. The service throughout the resort was outstanding. We were linked up with our concierge, Rosario, when we first arrived. She was so wonderful throughout our stay! Communicated daily through WhatsApp. She was able to help us change dinner reservations a few times and set up our spa reservations. We celebrated my husband’s birthday while we were there, and she went above and beyond putting balloons, cake, and a handwritten card in the room for him. She was so sweet with our kids and made our stay extra special! Our 4 and 6 year old ended up trying out the kids club and loving it. They have different activities lined up throughout the day, and our concierge always sent the schedule ahead of time. It’s not easy to take young kids on a trip and feel like it’s a true vacation, but staying at Grand Velas really makes it feel that way. We had the best week and look forward to returning again someday!
