Hacienda Tres Rios

We had a good time. However, did have some uncomfortable experiences. Abel our absolutely favorite bartender at the Victory sports bar has the best vibe and is so professional, kind and happy spirited that made us so welcomed. Cesar and the other day bartender who I cannot remember his name, at the Lobby bar makes the best fresh French 75 ever and is very nice, unlike the head mixologist whom I prefer not to remember his name because of how rude and condescending he was when he refused to pour my wine in a large wine glass stating I might take it to my room and if I broke it, it would cost more to replace than a smaller wine glass to which I replied that I would have thought the $440 US dollars we were paying per day for the all inclusive should more than cover it were I to brake a wince glass. Fortunately did not brake even one. This was mentioned to Joaquin, Captain of Bartenders, who was absolutely amazing and tried to improve our experience at every moment. The food servers and cooks at Alebrije were so attentive. Mario at the pool area was extremely attentive and sweet and took care of us all the time we were there along with Jona, his partner. Pablo at check-in was great! Fatima has an amazing energy for all the activities she does and is so knowledgeable about the grounds on her tours. Alejandro and Sara listened to our concerns and even though they could not resolve our issues at minimum they listed to us. We cannot remember the gentlemen's name, but he is the medic for the resort and is out front, he was very nice to us all the time we saw him and conversed. Housekeeping and all the servers were all very kind and attentive, I just cannot remember all their names. There was construction going on from early morning so we could not sleep in most days and we were there seven. Also, do not walk run away from the membership sales meetings as all they sell you are lies as we quickly learnt. They promise you one thing and will give some thing very different, like a bait and switch and the worse part is they get away with it and nothing can be done. The property is nice and clean, however the beach area and day beds are absolutely disgusting, specially the member beach area. Overall, we made the best out of the days we were there and had lots of fun at night with the dancing and karaoke and the friends we made there. We would consider returning once they upgrade the resort but not for the whole seven days.

We have come for years and it is easy to get to from the airport. We were very disappointed with lack of progress in the development of the property,and the condition of the rooms.The storage space was inadequate.This did not live up to the value we paid for.We were cleaned everyday.The noise was fine because of the lack of people.Service was fine our butler Alma was terrific and Diego and Ceasar our very special.Health club and spa are top notch. We have been led to believe that we were investing in the future my feeling are that we are just loaning money and will not see any rewards.I refused to go to any more presentations. There is a lack of trust on my part,Also it will be very hard for me to advise anyone to visit the property.Can you update me on any progress or advise me how I can sell it back to you. It was a good time, we like the Food & Service of all of the restaurants, the rooms were clean and in good condition, the only downside was the construction and renovation.

The hotel is beautiful and the new design looks stunning, but our stay was affected by ongoing construction. Every day we had to walk through construction areas and smell strong paint fumes just to reach our room. I think this could’ve been better planned to minimize guest impact. We also went off season so I understand the need for the update. Some scheduled activities like yoga, Spanish classes, and kids’ programs didn’t happen as advertised, which was disappointing. However, the pool entertainment team was fantastic—always energetic, with music, games, and great service from the bar staff. Dining was a highlight. The restaurant teams were attentive and friendly, and we enjoyed most of the food. The buffet offered plenty of daily options, and the café was perfect for snacks or dessert between meals. Alebrije was our favorite for its delicious Mexican food, though Kotori (the Asian restaurant) missed the mark - we are an Asian family so it lacked in quality. Room service was great, always responsive but sometimes got our food orders wrong, and I noticed cocktails tended to upset my stomach, so I stuck with beer and wine. Also, surprisingly, fresh squeezed juice wasn't available and the apple and orange juice was something else like Sunny Delight or a version of it. Overall, my favorite part was relaxing by the pool and spending time with my family. Visiting during the off-season made it even better—peaceful, uncrowded, and easy to enjoy the surroundings. The lush tropical scenery, swaying palm trees, warm weather, and stunning beaches made every moment feel like a true getaway.
