Just ok
The resort is not as nice as it use to be, they have cut back on services, entertainment and food options. The breakfast and lunch buffet were very good. Don't go for the beach, the water is brown and full of red mangrove debris. Activities and entertainment are almost non-existent. The bartenders are great and food was good. I wish they would pick up the garbage a little better around the resort.

Much needed oasis of rest and recreation in paradise.
Over the years, Hacienda Tres Rios has come to be more than a resort destination ... it is home. From the lobby to the front desk, from the concierge to butler service from the restaurants to the daily activities the staff knows my name and preferences. The resort is currently being transformed into a boutique resort adding additional onsite amenities and upgrades. The new presentation and recreation building complements the upgraded lobby and main building is just the tip of the iceberg. It is a much needed oasis of rest and recreation in paradise that I can't wait to return to a year from now God willing.

Family Vacation
Quiet, relaxing and great habitat. From the moment we arrive we had an outstanding service. Mauricio, Alex, Fatima and Miriam made our stay memorable with all the activities (kayak, snorkel, vivero etc). The employees by the buffet and coffee shop were friendly and always ready for our requests. We didn’t had any wifi signal in our room, there was a smell in the area where our room was assign and the AC wasn’t working properly.

My wife and I took the four-night package in August and really got our money's worth! The service from the entire staff was phenomenal. The nature activities, including biking and kayaking through the terrain and rivers, are not to be missed. The beach was beautiful. The complimentary wind surfing boat ride was very special. The quality and quantity of food available was amazing and I am a NYC food snob! And the top shelf liquor was always available! I could go on... Visit this property!!
