Quiet, relaxing and great habitat. From the moment we arrive we had an outstanding service. Mauricio, Alex, Fatima and Miriam made our stay memorable with all the activities (kayak, snorkel, vivero etc). The employees by the buffet and coffee shop were friendly and always ready for our requests. We didn’t had any wifi signal in our room, there was a smell in the area where our room was assign and the AC wasn’t working properly.

Enlightening. Insightful. Looking into your soul through sight, smell and breath. A must do experience. A group is best.

This is our third time to Hacienda Tres Rio. Our first time was amazing in April of 2023. Zero complaints. Our second time was November of 2024. This trip was highly disappointing. The pools were all empty and only one resturant was kinda open. They were going through major rents a d it was suppose to be there grand opening. They absolutely not ready to welcome any guest. Our third visit was November of 2025. Most of the reno are almost complete. One resturant still was not reading and 2 buildings were still not complete. Our rooms were finally complete and decent. Out of the 8 rooms we had 2 had no hot water for the whole week. Even with maintenance coming to fix it 8 times. They had zero rooms to move us this family too. Evening's had a few planned nights. But definitely lacked the entertainment to keep guest occupied. The kids definitely got board as the only thing for them to do was swim at the resort. Food was a struggle. Finding food to feed kids in the evening was hard. There was no buffet for dinner. Portbella had a short time kids were allowed to be in there and they got tired of the mexican resturant quick. The Japanese resturant was good but was not a great choice for us as we had a shell fish allergy for our one daughter. Room service was 24 hours but the one night they had run out of almost everything. We definitely will be taking a few years break before returning to let them complete the renos. Allow though the resort was a struggle with all the renovations the staff were absolutely amazing. Cesar in the casual bar can make any drink you want and can create almost anything. He was amazing with our children and definitely a highlight of our trip. Jona from the pool was also amazing. He was always quick and went way above expectations to make an unforgettable holiday.

We had a great time in the jungle bike tour with Alexander! He was very informative and did a great job as our guide. We went around to the different senotas and got to see the pretty jungle areas.

excellent trip but lowering the rating due to construction at the resort that was limiting some restaurant and activity options Repeat visitors will notice new decor is minimalistic, even bland in comparison with previous vibrancy.

My wife and I took the four-night package in August and really got our money's worth! The service from the entire staff was phenomenal. The nature activities, including biking and kayaking through the terrain and rivers, are not to be missed. The beach was beautiful. The complimentary wind surfing boat ride was very special. The quality and quantity of food available was amazing and I am a NYC food snob! And the top shelf liquor was always available! I could go on... Visit this property!!
