Hacienda Tres Rios

The hotel recently changed owners and belongs to the Kimpton chain now. They renovated the whole place and it is amazing. The restaurants all served excellent food, creative combinations, excellent quality. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We did the kanu tour with Fatima, she was terrific! It was an amazing experience. We also did the snorkeling tour ( that's what it is called), where you float along a river through the mangroves to the ocean. The resort was super clean, the entertainment at night was nice, and the animals in the resort vere entertaining. We saw coaties and iguanas every day. The only bad thing was the ocean. Even though the hotel removed seaweed daily, with heavy machinery, by the truckload, there was so much that you could not swim in the ocean. Sometimes the smell was annoying, and the mosquitos were very active, too. Nevertheless, we had a great time and we would visit again.

So much history and many stories during our bike tour with Fatima. She was so nice and constantly made sure we were comfortable, switching between Spanish and English as needed for us. An incredible stay for our honeymoon and many memories made, thanks in part to Fatima taking our photos. Thank you!!

This was an absolutely terrible experience. WARNING!! DO NOT GO ON THE SALES TOUR. The sales people are the slimiest people I have ever met in my life. Not only do they tell complete lies throughout the sales presentation, BUT if you cancel your contract within the 5 day period (which the contract states you are by law allowed to do) they will continue to harass you for payments for months after the fact. I am still fighting with them to stop harassing me. There's a million all inclusive resorts in Mexico...save yourself and book somewhere else. Also, the beach was disgusting here with tons of seaweed. I also got locked in one of the bathrooms due to a faulty lock - was literally stuck for 20 minutes, no money back or formal apology. Terrible!

we are in the last group of guests of hacienda tres rios because tomorrow at 12 pmthe resort closes and reopens on tuesday as kimpton tres rios. we got to experience may of the upgrades . most os the resturants had the new menus. the foid was extremly good at every venue. the rib eye with rice at kotori was actualy melt in your mouth. As good as the food was the standout was the staff. they were without exception perfection . victor at the pool along with his female partner were like famly. laura as a resturant hostess was exceptional. We were never asked menton them on trip advisor . they never asked for or waited for tips . If kimton is smart they will keep all of the staff they truley made the vacation special.

My mom and I did the Sense Adventure. It was such a new experience. It opened up our awareness of the senses of our body. Breathing, smells, feelings, heart and mind. It was such a wonderful relaxing event. A must try!
