Hacienda Tres Rios

It was a beautiful getaway experience for the whole family, the activities that includes are very interactive, the tour guides are really awesome, the food was good in general, rooms always clean and tidy, the only thing we noticed is that in general the whole facility needs improvement and updates, for the time we were there the occupancy was no more than 40% and that give us an idea that Tres Rios needs to push more in order to gain again the trust and preference of previous owners and guests.

Kimpton promises fall flat. Fewer outdoor activities. It’s the week of XMas and the place is a ghost town. Restaurants. Italian 3.5 /5 Japanese. 3.6/5 The grill 3/5 Buffet. 3/5 Renovations missed the mark. Two new buildings were supposed to be done now and are at least 6 months away. The staff try really hard and do make up for some of the physical plant deficiencies. If you go, plan on offsite excursions IHG Kimpton should be ashamed of this deliverable.

The entire experience was amazing, I highly recommend doing all the activities they offer, from family bike ride, jungle cars, kayaking, snorkeling (was our favorite) with Alexander "The Great", and the food at the restaurants was always great, especially if Claudio "Romario" is your server, and for birthday celebrations go to Kotori, they have the best fireworks and songs ever...

I would give everything 5 stars except the food, which was good but not great. The on-premise snorkeling excursion was really cool and Alex and Fatima were great! The beach renovation they have done is really impressive and a very noticeable upgrade from my previous stays.

Fantastic experience. Employees are the super stars. Everything was perfect. Food and menus have improved each and every year. Better chefs and selections. Loved it. New room decor lacks some Mexican bright colors but is modern and well done. Can’t say enough. See you all next year. Can’t wait.
