My wife and I had a great time here . It's right on the beautiful, white sand beach. The food was incredible with great service. I have eaten at best restaurants in manga tran and some meals were comparable. Had the best soup of my life (pumpkin coconut ) and I am a soup snob. Ivan, Francisco, Alberto and Roberto I will give special kudos to. Thank you. Great pool area, cabanas , yoga classes (thanks una), gym. I can't say enough about this place.

Recently stayed at this resort for a 4 day 3 night stay. I have stayed at other Secrets and I like this one because of its smaller size and excellent quality. All of the staff are friendly and can not do enough for you. The food was excellent. The sports bar had no idea that NFL football playoffs were going on. It took them a while to get the sound on but it was all good .

Wife and I just got back last night, I must say we had a very good time. The facilities were great, we were in a ground floor ocean view deluxe suite with the terrace near the pool. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable, The resort is a bit dated but kept very well and clean. The restaurants, we’ll the buffet is a buffet, it has plenty of choices, room service was fast and efficient always, the Hibachi and Portofino were very good, the Seaside grill was ok, and the outside cactus restaurant was nice and simple. If you ask them to change anything on the menu they usually can accommodate. Bars, they had Bud, Bud light, Corona, Tecate, Modelo especial and negro. They had Crown, Ketel one , Don Julio but nothing better for free, you could order some good stuff but you had to pay. Beaches were nice and wide enough, they kept the seaweed picked up daily. Pool was a bit dated by looking at the tiles on the bottom, I might’ve taken off a little on the score for that but it didn’t affect my stay. Staff and service, the staff was all nice, some don’t interact but the ones that need to always did with a Hola...Theresa our pool waitress was great, she never let us go thirsty. Yesica in the UVC helped out with a visit to neighboring Maroma. Playa Del Carmen was nice but all I heard was to stay away from the free shopping trip... Pay the $20 cab fare and go to 5th street if you want for longer... The entertainment team did a good job, the shows were fun and pretty good quality. Overall, we like the size of this resort, everything is very easy to get to. We probably will be back.

We arrived at Secrets Capri on New Years Eve and had arranged a table for the outdoor buffet before we arrived. The dinner itself was our least favourite but the entertainment for the evening was fantastic as well as champagne, party hats and fireworks at midnight. They had a few evenings where there was a buffet and entertainment by the pool while we were there but since there is a charge (you are required to purchase a bottle of wine) we opted out. Our room was a garden view on the second floor and had a jungle view and was quiet. The room itself was a good size, clean, had a large bathroom as well a nice balcony. Corona, water and soft drinks refilled daily in the room fridge. The pool was beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs and was advertised as heated but felt quite cool. The beach is amazing! Great sand and kayaks available daily at no charge. Manuel serves great drinks with a smile. Lots of beach to walk on both north and south of the resort. We had breakfast daily in the LaRiviera buffet where there was a great selection of made to order breakfast items as well as pre-made. Lunch was either at the BBQ by the pool or at the Cactus Club by the beach (the fish tacos are amazing!). We had dinner in all the restaurants except the buffet. Our favourites were the Himitsu Hibachi (Hibachi requires reservations in advance - it's worth it) and Portofino Italian restaurant (Raul was awesome). The Oceana seafood restaurant was our least favourite. The fancy coffee bar set up near the lobby bar was also fun. The evening entertainment was excellent, especially the Il Divo impersonators and Martha and Coco on the beach. Definitely a highlight. Desires sports bar has games, pool, ping pong as well as TV's and some of the hardest working bartenders you will find anywhere! There was a market set up in the pool area 2 evenings while we were there where you could purchase souvenirs. Fifth Avenue is an easy 300 peso cab ride away too. I would definitely recommend this resort for adults who only want to choose between pool & beach and which restaurant to eat in!
