I will start with a couple of negative points, air con in the main areas and restaurants need an upgrade, far to sticky in all these areas, rooms were fine. The night club bar 11 PM till 1AM the bar staff were more intrested in serving the tipping Americans than anyone else resulting in waiting long periods to get served. Theses were my only moans. Now the good stuff...throughout the two weeks we were here I cannot commend the staff from the top to bottom managers to cleaners for making us feel so welcome they couldn't do enough for you ..with special thanks to Lucaro in the lobby bar Eddie and Luis in the Buffet restaurant . We tried all but the Seafood Restaurants and found them all great with a great standard maybe not the a le carte standard we see in the UK but acceptable. The pool was sort of split by the bridge into two sections the quiet side and the pool bar side still quiet but busier. There is no shortage of pool service with a great team of bar runners to take your drink and food orders if reqired and we never had to fight for sun beds as there were plenty, the beach was well maintained daily with a lifeguard and a netted sea section for safe and peace of mind swimming. We had an ocean view room 304 and it was lovely great views mini bar and everything you needed and was daily cleaned and evening beds made ready. All the bars had top branded spirits and the coco cafe is a must visit for afternoon coffee and cake,so to sum up we had a fantastic 2 week stay and wish it could have been longer.

My wife and I loved the size of the resort and all the amenities it provided. We wanted a long weekend getaway where we could relax and unwind. They serve food poolside which is AMAZING for a Secrets resort, but that came with birds everywhere that the resort could not control. They did not even care to try to keep the birds away which was very frustrating. We really enjoyed the resort and the people, but this really took away from the entire experience.

I stayed June 10-17, through my UVC membership. Received an upgrade to a Deluxe Junior Suite Tropical View. If you want to be close to everything and don't mind the view of the jungle - Room 138 is for you! It was great - quiet and on the back of the resort, the only noise was the occasional leaf blowing and grass cutting. But walk out the door and you could go straight up the stairs to the upper floor for Coco's cafe - have a pretzel they are delicious, so were the croissant sandwiches! Oh and the coffee is great too! You also walk almost directly out at the pool. You are steps away from the sports bar, the fitness centre and more! We ate at Himitsu at the teppanyaki table - great show - the chef even had the men at the table go up and try their hand at flipping eggs - it was great! The food was delicious and more than enough choices for everyone - I even enjoyed one piece of the sushi (and I don't like the stuff)! I had beef and chicken, most everyone else had beef and shrimp - rib eye or flank steak - the rib eye is the better choice, bigger portion, better meat, the flank steak is a very small thin piece (as expected). They had a number of seafood choices besides shrimp - nice touch there. You got fried rice, mixed veggies, and a show! The restaurant at the beach, Cactus Club, had a very basic menu for lunch - the choices were good, food was well prepared and you could find a shady spot if you wanted to. We really enjoyed yoga with the guest instructor, Brad Offutt - it was wonderful - would have loved to do it every day, but tours, etc, got in the way! Breakfast and lunch at the buffet started to get a little repetitive by the end of the week, but the food was always fresh and delicious. I ordered a burger and fries from room service and it was the best burger of the week! They also had a wood fired grill between the beach and the pool for lunch every day - burgers and hot dogs, a few items on a salad bar, fixings for them, and sometimes they offered little extras like chicken wings, chicken legs, etc. Very good food, a little plain on the burger end but good. The spa was amazing - I got too much sun so I had their Water Lily treatment - lovely! My friend had a massage (two actually they were so good he went back). I also enjoyed a scrub, a wrap, a massage, and a facial - it was soo good! I took home some lovely Pevonia products including an incredible botanical sunscreen which was better than what I brought with me! I would go back for sure!

Secrets Capri was an enjoyable 2 weeks; an excellent vacation at an excellent venue. Check in was fast....we had lunch until our room was ready. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. The entire Hotel has a Colonial / Hacienda vibe, with luxurious materials.....even a waterfall grotto with turtles. The Staff is the true reason to stay at Secrets Capri: from Restaurant Manager Ali, to waiter Jesus at the Portofino Italian, to Alberto at the seaside for breakfast, to drinks from Geovanni and Fernanda at the pool, we felt welcomed and pampered. We will gladly be returning again. Laurence

We had a wonderful time! We were a little concerned after reading reviews leading up to the trip but the negatives were unfounded. Beautiful, small resort. We love the smaller size versus other very large, spread out properties. It's more intimate and you meet people and see them again at the pool or dinner and create new friends. They meet you with a cool towel and drink at the front door. Gerard and Niger were the doorman/bellman and very happy to help in any way. Registration was smooth. We were early so our room wasn't ready but we checked our bags and went to lunch out by the ocean. The food was delicious in every restaurant, by the way. We did not have a bad meal in six days! Our room was ready promptly at three and we settled in. We usually prefer a 2nd or 3rd story room but all they had was on the 1st. It worked out great. We walked right out to the pool and had easy access to the beach from the far entrance of the building. We didn't spend enough time in the room to worry about the view anyway! The free WIFI worked great once we signed in! Mexican buffet was on Friday night and the Mariachi band was fabulous! Out among the crowd, involving the guests, it was great fun. We ate at the buffet for breakfast each morning and LUIS was the best waiter. He remembered our drink order each morning as well as my friend's special dietary request. We spent time at the beach in the mornings and never had any problem finding enough chairs for our group. VIVIANNA took good care of our drink orders while on the beach. We loved the afternoons in the pool, especially JUAN at the pool bar. He always had a smile, remembered our order by the end of the first day and the man is very fast and efficient.Barely any wait at all for a drink. PEDRO also took care of us at the outdoor bar when it was raining and we spent the afternoon with him while making new friends and swapping stories. The entertainment staff were wonderful as well. I highly encourage you to participate in the activities. A lot of people hang back but when you join in you have a lot of fun. They had blackjack, in the pool. They had Mexican Bingo at the pool bar (hilarious) with prizes! VIRIONNA and KARLA were always energetic, entertaining and spent all their time making sure we were entertained! FRANCISCO as well...these are very hard working people to make sure your vacation is wonderful. There are shows and activites every night. Karaoke, Casino night (with prizes), Elvis, the newlywed game.........FRANCISCO made my last night special with the dance lessons and dance contest. I love to dance, my husband not so much, so thanks to FRANCISCO I was a dancing machine and had the best time on our last night. ARICEMA was our housekeeper and the room was always spotless. Along with the normal soap and shampoo they also have sunscreen and bug spray. We do owe an apology to PEDRO, the waiter at Oceana. He was wonderful, except we were fickle and changed our minds on what we wanted to eat after we were seated. We left and explained to the hostess but apparently PEDRO didn't understand and chased us down very upset that he had done something wrong to cause us to leave. That was not the case at all. It shows that he was so upset that we were unhappy that he would do anything to please us. Everyone at the resort goes out of their way to please you. So as to the previous negatives, remember that you are in the tropics. Things are damp all of the time causing ongoing maintenance. The pool was in great shape and there were men replacing tiles/maintenance while we were there. The lobby smelled wonderful, like the spa. There is a beautiful waterfall with a large pool and live turtles. One time, in building 2, upstairs we did smell a kind of sewer smell but faintly and not all of the time. The spa was great and we all enjoyed the hydrotherapy. The beach is narrow but not non-existent. Plenty of room to walk and play in the ocean.I would not let any negative reviews affect your travel decision. We will visit this resort again and recommend it to others.Thank you Secrets Capri for giving us such a wonderful vacation with our friends!
