Everything about our trip was fantastic, room service was great! Bring extra clothes if you're traveling during the summer, or they'll be wet and sweaty and stinky! Thank goodness the hotel will wash them for you if needed! We had the best honeymoon ever.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at this resort. To put this in perspective, my girlfriend is well traveled and stayed at many resorts of this kind all around the world. So far this one is her favorite. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They will go above and beyond to make you happy... they did for us at least. The rooms are very clean and the AC is working well to keep you cooled. They load the mini-fridge every morning with beer, water, sparkling water, juice and coke(reg+diet) for your convenience. The only problem we had was a bit of sea weed and mosquitoes; however the staff worked tirelessly to clean the beach and sprayed around to contain the "bloodsucker invasion"... honestly, we had it much better than the resorts around us and the staff provided us with bug-off during sunset. With all that said let me walk you through our trip: We booked our trip with Westjet vacations/BD Travel; it was pretty pricey but,it was ALL inclusive+ that's what happens when you book a trip 4 days before the vacation starts; We arrived at the airport in Cancun. We walked out of the airport and were immediately directed towards the area where BD travel was doing pickups(It is important to note that you must head out of the airport and look for a person with a sign that represents your travel agency. Don't get lured by timeshare reps) . We only had to wait 10 minutes. BD travel took us to the hotel where we were picked up by the staff with champagne; the check in process was fast and easy. We changed and off to the pool. From that point everything was great. We only stayed there for 5 days, so my girlfriend made sure that we had our rest time as well as activities. On the first day we just hung around the pool. Food and drinks are free so we took advantage of that, of course :). For each of the other days we had 1 or 2 activities and pool/beach time. The have some form an entertainment every night. They also have barbecue @ the pool daily.... and it's all included. Activities: We found out that we had a Dolphin Excursion included with our package so we did that. It costs $75 / person otherwise, but it is a very nice experience. Kayaks and Catamarans are free to use for Capri guests... catamaran is a must if you like having fun. We also did the parasailing. It was $140 cash; however it was worth every penny. We also booked a shopping experience trip. They took us to a jewelry shop and a tequila shop(I assume that they have a deal with them) then to Playa del Carmen for shopping. I think we would have saved time by calling a cab and going into town by ourselves... but it was good nonetheless. Checkout: The checkout process was as simple as the check in. BD Travel dropped us right at our terminal with plenty of time to checking and go through security. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel if you plan to vacation in the area. All staff are stellar but 2 of them shine above the others: Viri(Sports and Entertainment) Pasquale(Bartender) ... Especially Viri ; Thank you guys very much for making our trip special.

My husband and I went to Secrets Capri for our Honeymoon in June. When we arrived to the hotel around 12 we were told that we would not be able to check in yet, but that we could go and have lunch and come back. So we did just that. Came back aroun 1 and tried to check in. They told us that our room was not ready it and it wouldn't be until 3, so we waited for 2 hours before we could get into our rooms. We were tired and gross and just wanted to get our room. Well, once we finally we able to check in we got to our room and the curtains were not put up. So, I walked down the hallway and asked if someone would come put up our curtains to our room, which was face the pool on the ground floor. I went back to our room and we were sitting there when a guy just WALKS IN without knock. Finally, they got put up though. You also get these "coupons" that you can use, but you can only use so many which each thing so they are basically worthless. We got massages...and you CAN negotiate the price. We got our massages down like $100. The food is great. Service was mostly great. Don't go to Xel-Ha for an's a waste of a day. The pool is nice, but there is just one and the beach isn't too much of a beach. So overall it was alright, but probably won't go back.

Let me start by saying, we are UVC members. Upon arrival, the resort looks just as it is pictured online. One of the staff greeted us with a cold towel and showed us the way to the U lounge (members only lounge). In the lounge we were told that our room was upgraded to the Jr. Suite. Unfortunately, our upgrade moved us from an upstairs ocean view to a bottom floor walkout pool view. For some, that may be awesome, but we don't like easy porch access for unwanted guests. The air conditioner is super iffy. There are moments it works, and hours it doesnt. The air conditioner in the main lobby and the buffet doesn't work. Our power also went out 4 times one night. The ocean is pretty from afar, but the water is not clear blue as shown in the pictures. Once you are on the beach, you can see that the water is murky and has a brownish hue. Now let's talk about the alcohol... When we first arrived we ordered and received Crown and Coke. Later that day, at the same bar, we ordered another round, watched the Crown pour from the bottle, but the liquor in that bottle was definitely not crown. It was some kind of cheap bourbon/golden colored alcohol. From then on, we sampled the Crown before we made a drink of it and sometimes it was real, but more often then not it was far from it. It wasn't just us that noticed this trend. Many couples said they had the same experience. Overall, it hasn't been a terrible experience, it's just been under par. Its all inclusive, the food is nothing to be desired, but it is tolerable, the beds are alright, the rooms have an odd setup, but drink enough and you won't notice, just be careful with what you drink. Pay attention. **update** You WILL get approached to have a tour/meal, it's a sales pitch. Even if you are already an owner/member, you will get approached again and they will try to sell you more air. We were told we were getting an update on our benefits so we knew what we were entitled to with our ownership and that it should only take an hour of our time. Stupidly, we attended the lunch offered and were told about everything we did not really have and how with a small fee of $20k, we could be "diamond status" and get all of the benefits we thought we had already bought into last year. It was explained that the reason we were not getting the experience we were expecting was because we weren't high enough on the owner scale. Funny, because the people who aren't owners at all are getting way more than we are. Better rooms, concierge desk in their hall way, pool cabanas, and bottles of liquor in their rooms at no extra cost, dinner on the beach.... Just to name a few.
