Still the best kept secret on the Yucatan! Here's the reason why! Araceli and Lucero at the Lobby Bar in the evening. Mary and Jhony at the Coco Cafe every morning! Soza,Ivan,Teresa and Orlando at pool side! Paula and Eradio at Seaside Restaurant. Jesus at Oceanside! Vidal and Jorge at the Italian restaurant. Yantel who took care of our room! Saulo at the Buffett! Francisco and the other other bell-men! Bernice entertainment staff worked her butt off! Only thing left to say is see ya'll next year!

As an Unlimited Vacation Club member, I have come accustomed to expect more from an AMResort. Secrets Capri is small and one of the oldest in the area. First, I don’t understand why our room wasn’t ready upon arrival. They knew our flight schedule & how long it would take from airport to resort. Then we learn that the whole resort is a “Preferred Club” resort. Secondly, the first 2 nights the room never became cooler than 70°. They offered to move us, but after asking the maintenance man, he stated that the rooms don’t get much cooler. Then, the room wasn’t getting made up till mid-afternoon. Our second day, the concierge actually called around 3pm asking if all was good & we stated that the room wasn’t cleaned yet. To top it off, after getting a 3pm cleaning, they came back @ 3:40pm for turn-down service. I realize September isn’t prime season but I still expected a bit more from an AM Resort.

This resort is beautiful, service is wonderful, and it doesn’t feel like a large resort that overwhelms. Food and drink were good and accommodations were lovely. Staff went out of their way to put a smile on your face. Would happily return.

We stayed here (myself, wife and daughter) from Sat 8th till Tues 18th Sept having arrived from a four day break in NYC (from where we were reluctant to leave!). Check-in was ultra easy and after a short wait (at the bar of course) we were shown to our rooms which were exceptionally clean and comfortable. First off I have to say that we found almost all of the staff to be incredibly friendly, polite and helpful (with one possible exception - a barman we encountered in the downstairs sports bar on our last evening who, upon hearing my English accent, clearly wasn't interested in serving us, preferring to concentrate on Americans as - he thought - that's where the tips are. His face changed when I did tip him however - all smiles then! Soooo false!!!) We loved the lobby bar and we were always well cared for there. All spirits are branded and there is an incredible choice, as well as two draught beers and canned beer too plus house wine. Restaurants are good, particularly the Italian - Porto Fino - which we loved. The Pan Asian was also good as was the beach grill where it was nice to sit outside of an evening. The buffet restaurant was adequate and usually had a good choice of food. The pool was ok - my only gripe would be, as someone else has also pointed out, that it would have been nice to have a little quiet time instead of unceasing music and noise, but that's a small point and not too important. The beach is quite nice but due to the time we were there, catching the back end of a tropical storm, we were plagued by excessive sea weed and sea grass which the hotel staff valiantly battled against. Thankfully the weather finally improved from Weds evening onwards and the weed problem mainly disappeared so we were able to bathe in the ocean from then on. We didn't see much of the entertainment apart from the last hour of Mexican night which was quite spectacular and ended with a good firework display, but the early evening entertainment in the lobby bar was often interesting and good - especially good to watch from a stool at the bar with a large glass of Havana Club and a beer! Guests were predominantly American and we met some really nice folks there (one of whom introduced me to the term 'double fisting' which the Americans use for drinking two at once, which I was completely unaware of until then and which amused me no end!), but there was also a fair scattering of Brits and Mexicans too. In the end we had a great holiday there and I wish to God we were back there now in 30c heat instead of the cold rainly English weather we came home to! Yes we would definitely go back there and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other folks.

Beautiful resort pool is kinda small but still lovely. The staff was friendly, pool Barr service was kinda slow. But it's still an awesome vacation! Remember sunscreen for sure!! Rooms are clean and we'll kept, food was good.
