Just got back from 7 days at Secrets Maroma and it was fabulous. The resort is beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, our room was lovely (swim out room in building 26) and the food was excellent. Location: the resort is a short drive from the airport and other excursion locations (except Chichen Itza...but that is a 2+ hr drive from anything along the coast). Atmosphere: The resort is beautiful and easy to navigate. You can immerse yourself in the activities and events or easily seclude and enjoy quiet nooks on the property. The event staff were great and there are plenty of options to keep you busy when you want them. The beach was lovely although seaweed was a challenge. The staff did their best to keep up, but it is the season for seaweed and nature will not be denied. The resort is nestled in the jungle but landscaped beautifully. The decor is lovely with unique textile art and comfortable spaces throughout. The spa was heavenly. Rooms: Also lovely. We had a swim-out that we used every afternoon. We had plenty of space and all the creature comforts. The maintenance group even provided an oscillating fan (that we requested) to improve the air circulation (my husband likes arctic air when sleeping). Other guests told us about being provided memory foam mattress toppers and other accommodations when needed (our bed was very comfortable without). Fabulous rain shower and refrigerator and snacks stocked daily. Staff: So many incredible people working at this resort. Pablo - a waiter at Bordeaux - was exceptional and almost at his 18 year anniversary at the resort. Margarita - a hostess at the Oceana for breakfast and the Preferred Club in the afternoon was a joy to see every day. The restaurant manager at the Patio restaurant went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. The whole staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment: There was so much to do and see. The events during the day were fun and inclusive. The nightly entertainment was also great...particularly the fire show, & the silent DJ). We also happened upon a mentalist in the lobby one evening (Armando) who was so much fun and blew our minds with his tricks. Food: This resort had some of the best food options we have ever had at an all-inclusive. Breakfast was exceptional every day. Chefs kiss to the crepes and Maroma Sunrise. My husband fell in love with the brick oven pizza for lunch and I enjoyed the options at the Preferred Club restaurant. For dinner we did not have a single bad experience and tried all the options, but absolutely loved the Mexican restaurant (the Patio) and the French restaurant (Bordeaux). Overall: This was the most relaxing and transporting vacation we have had in years. We loved every moment at this resort and the time flew by. Kudos to the Secrets franchise and kudos to the staff at Maroma. We are already planning a return.

Our stay at Secrets Maroma exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. The level of hospitality throughout the resort was simply outstanding. Our room was perfect for our stay—beautiful, comfortable, and exceptionally well maintained. The housekeeping team did an incredible job each day. They anticipated everything we needed, kept the room spotless, and we never once had to ask for anything. Their attention to detail made our stay effortless. The entertainment was another highlight. It was energetic, engaging, and felt authentic without ever being over the top. There was always something enjoyable to do while still maintaining the relaxing atmosphere that makes Secrets Maroma so special. The food was excellent throughout the resort, but we'd especially like to recognize Antonio, who was our server at the buffet on several occasions. We were lucky enough to have him almost every time we dined there. Antonio is an amazing person who consistently provided remarkable service, thoughtful recommendations, and a warm, friendly attitude that made every meal even more enjoyable. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Angel Lopez. Angel's professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for the guests truly stood out. He regularly checked in to make sure everything was perfect and always greeted us with a smile. His dedication to providing exceptional service made a lasting impression and played a big part in making this vacation unforgettable. Thank you to Angel, Antonio, the housekeeping team, the entertainment staff, and everyone at Secrets Maroma for creating such an incredible experience. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, first-class all-inclusive vacation.

Great Resort. Friendly, helpful staff. Good food and drinks, especially preferred club lounge. The beach had a lot of seaweed. Resort tries very hard to keep the beach clean, but the water is full of it and not the best at this time of year. Pools are nice. We had a preferred swim out room and it was very nice. I would visit again when there isn’t seaweed.

From start to finish, my husband and I had a relaxing & wonderful stay. This was a baby moon for us, and one of our main objectives during our stay was to get pregnancy announcement photos. Isaac with Adventure Photos was our photographer & he did a stunning job. He listened to what we wanted and had a wonderful eye. Muchas gracias!
