Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

Can’t say enough good about this resort. We’ve been to other resorts in the Cancun area and this one by far is the absolute best. my wife and I arrived mid afternoon at the resort. We couldn’t wait to start our experience at this beautiful place. The only negative of this whole trip was of the check-in process which itself did take but a few minutes. But the person doing the check-in had an ulterior motive to try to sell us a membership wish we repeatedly declined, but she kept trying until we made it perfectly clear we were not interested and wanted to get on with our vacation. once we got past that we had one of the best vacations of our life. We would not hesitate to go back. The staff of this resort were the best I’ve ever seen. The food was all excellent. Drinks were great and abundant. the spa was also a worthwhile splurge Book it, you won’t be sorry

This was my sixth visit to the resort. Everything exceeded my expectations. The buildings have had a significant remodel to several of the restaurants and theater. The food was Great! The way the staff takes care of guests is the number one reason why I continue to return.

Secrets Maroma Beach is one of our favourite resorts and we return at least once a year, it’s become like a second home to us. The beach is stunning, the property is elegant and intimate, and the personalized service is outstanding. This trip we stayed for a week in early January and once again thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. (This is a longer review since we’ve not done reviews on our past few visits.) Here are the many reasons we love this place… - We like the layout of the resort, it's very pretty, not too large and very well kept. We also love the beach and really enjoy the morning yoga offered by the various visiting yoga teachers. - We like all the restaurants, including La Terrazza (mediterranean themed, only open certain nights) and we love the Preferred Beach Club - excellent breakfast & lunch menu. We enjoy the healthy offerings at the Beach Club and at the buffets. We really enjoy the “Ronqueo” (tuna snore) offered by the pool/gazebo area about once a week- this is when they prepare and serve fresh tuna - it’s amazing. - We enjoy the house wines, and also purchase wine at times for special events or when we’ve booked a dinner in the wine room. Our purchases are done with the expert advice of Ivan, the head sommelier and his team Otilio and Janet- they are all excellent. - The people! In addition to top-notch customer service, the staff are wonderful, warm hosts. In particular, the building concierges are among the best ever. On this trip - Bramdon was outstanding as our concierge (and used to look after us well when he was head of the beach concierge team). On previous trips we had excellent service from building concierges Roger, Roberto and Miguel. They always go above and beyond to make our stay better every time, by making any reservations we need, ensuring we have what we need in our room and ensuring we know about any special things happening at the resort. - We’ve also encountered the following exceptional staff - Rifkele former hostess at the Beach Club (always remembering us and still stops by to say hello); Marguerita current Beach Club hostess; Herla former hostess at La Terrazza now the gracious host at Portofino. At the restaurants, we’ve received excellent service from Mateo, Alfredo, Richard and Jimmy at the Beach Club and Julio who looks after all of it. Abillardo and Albert provided great service at Rock Lobster on this trip. We also had great service from Wilian at Portofino, David at seaside grill, and from Eyner and Manuel at the Beach. Secrets Maroma Beach is a great resort and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

All were wonderful. We love the location. We had a swim out room that was great. We were in room 2112. You may want maintenance to check the thermostat. The room was very cold, even when we had the temperature set to 72 degrees. Atmosphere was very much paradise. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating, which added to the paradise atmosphere. Pricing is appropriate for the experience. This is our third visit to Maroma Bay and we will be back.

I stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun for my honeymoon and had a great experience. Specifically, the service was top-notch. Overall, the staff was kind and helpful, and our concierge Marco was amazing. The best part of the resort was the cabana day and the best food was the seafood restaurant by the pool.
