We had a phenomenal experience. The staff was so inviting and helpful. We were especially impressed with how well they took care of the sargassum everyday. We walked down the beach and other resorts did not maintain nearly as well. The F&B team was fantastic and the food was actually great compared to some other all-inclusive we had been to. I can't think of any meals that didn't taste great and we ate sooo much fresh fruit. Room were great and comfortable. I read some people say it was warm in their room, but considering the heat index was well over 100 every day we were there, our room stayed comfortable with the A/C and ceiling fan going. They even had balloons and a nice note on my birthday waiting for us when we got back from the pool. Concierge was great and helpful. We did preferred and we enjoyed the extras on a special occasion, but didn't feel like you needed to do it. We did like that came with a massage and the upgrade to a longer massage was actually a good deal compared to what we have seen at some other spas. I wish we could have stayed more than just a few days, we didn't get to take advantage of all of the restaurants or what they had available, but loved what we did.

It is a beutiful resort. I would not waste money on" Preferred Status"! If you are not a Hyatt world member of part of the Vacation Club you may just feel like a regular customer.

Lunch and Dinner was not the best in my opinion. Room and service were amazing. Oh also don’t forget basic need like tampons, face wash, toothbrush’s they over charge you because the resort is far from anywhere else we can get things like that. I need tampons, Advil, diva cup, and toothpaste. Ended up paying $130 for just that. The lunch and dinner would probably be good for most people it was to my friend i am just picky. Breakfast was amazing. Pina Colada’s did taste weird for some reason. I tried a virgin one to see if it was the alcohol and it still tasted weird so it was the mix. Pool was amazing, loved that they had towels at the beach, service was 10/10

The food was incredible and the staff was amazing, but what really made this trip unforgettable was Bato Carrera. From the moment we arrived at the pool, he greeted us with a huge smile that never faded the whole trip. He was quick with our drinks and one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met — truly the icing on the cake. Angel at the pool table bar and Ivan in the gift shop were also outstanding. But Bato, once again, Bato — ask for him by name. You won’t be disappointed!

We recently stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun for a four-night anniversary trip in the Honeymoon Suite. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The resort is beautiful, the staff was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the Preferred Club amenities and dining experiences, particularly Seaside Grill. Unfortunately, one aspect of our stay left a lasting negative impression and prevented this from being a five-star review. Shortly after completing our Preferred Club check-in, we were introduced to another representative who we believed was part of the welcome process. We spent about 15 minutes discussing the resort and were invited to attend what was described as a special anniversary celebration the following morning with the opportunity to win a one-week vacation. Based on that description, we agreed to attend and adjusted our plans accordingly. At no point during the conversation was Hyatt Vacation Club mentioned. The following morning, after being reminded to bring our IDs, we became suspicious. Upon arrival, we asked whether this was a sales presentation and were informed that it was in fact a Hyatt Vacation Club presentation. To be clear, we have no issue with being offered information about Hyatt Vacation Club. Had it been presented as such, we would have politely declined. Our concern is that the event was not accurately described when we were invited. This did not ruin an otherwise excellent anniversary trip, and we would consider returning. However, prospective guests should be aware of this practice when arriving at the resort.
