Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

We just returned from an 8‑day stay at Secrets Maroma Beach, and it was absolutely fantastic. We’ve previously stayed at Secrets Akumal and Secrets Huatulco, both of which we loved — but Maroma Beach is our favourite so far. From the moment we arrived, the staff truly made the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, but a few people really stood out: Freddy at the World Buffet was a real highlight. He was such a pleasure to talk to every day and always took the time to suggest things to check out around the resort. Miguel, our concierge in Building 24, was fantastic. He was proactive, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of so we could fully relax. And down at the pool, Wilberth kept us perfectly refreshed. Let’s just say no one goes thirsty when Wilberth is on the scene. That said, every single staff member we encountered was amazing, and the level of service across the resort was outstanding. The food was excellent — far better than we expected for an all‑inclusive. The variety was impressive, and everything we tried was fresh and very tasty. We never got bored and always looked forward to meals. We also spent time swimming in the ocean. With climate change, seaweed can be an issue in parts of the Yucatán depending on the time of year, but Secrets was completely on top of it. The beach was pristine, and it’s a long, beautiful stretch of sand. We enjoyed walking up and down the beach every day. There are lots of activities during the day, and the evening entertainment was excellent as well. We stayed at the resort the entire 8 days and never felt the need to leave — it was that relaxing and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place where you can do as much or as little as you want, this is it. It was the perfect, stress‑free holiday. We’ll absolutely be back — and next time, we’ll likely upgrade to the Preferred Club and book a swim‑out room. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Secrets Maroma was absolutely five star in every way. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. We had stayed at Secrets Akumal last year and loved it, but Maroma truly won our hearts because of the incredible staff. A very special thank you to Marcelo, our phenomenal concierge, who elevated the entire experience. He was always available and took care of everything for us, from dinner reservations to golf arrangements to spa appointments -- and anything else we needed. His attentiveness and warmth made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The entertainment team also deserves recognition. Leonardo, Fritz, Emi, Alexandra, and Joanna made the resort feel fun and welcoming every single day. Whether it was pool activities or the fantastic kayaking and biking tours they ran, they always made sure we felt included and had a great time! The poolside servers and bartenders were equally wonderful, always greeting us with a big smile and a perfectly crafted tropical drink. I can't say it enough -- the level of attentiveness across the entire resort staff was exemplary. Additionally, the food at each and every outlet we tried was phenomenal - kudos to the impressive F&B team. Coming from the restaurant industry, we have elevated dining expectations which Maroma easily met and exceeded. Our only regret was not being able to try each restaurant! The breakfast buffet in particular was outstanding, with endless options ranging from traditional Mexican dishes to beautiful selections of fresh fruit and pastries. We also loved the Preferred Club beachside restaurant for lunch. The service there was terrific and we appreciated the elevated liquor offerings. We would absolutely choose the Preferred option again and felt it was worth the additional upcharge. The spa was yet another highlight of our trip. I can say without exaggeration that my massage with Jessica was honestly the best massage I have ever had. And the fitness club had all the equipment we would need and never felt too crowded. Our guest room was beautiful and spacious, and although we weren't sure at first about booking a swim-out room, it ended up being a really nice part of our stay and we would book it again. Also, we were very grateful that the staff accommodated our request for our second reservation for a room with two double beds, which can be hard to find at adults only all inclusive resorts. There truly was not a single moment during our stay that did not exceed our expectations. I researched hours upon hours trying to find the very best resort for our vacation this year and was so happy with our choice. Secrets Maroma delivers luxury, warmth, and service at the highest level -- book your trip now!

We had a fantastic stay at Secrets Maroma and truly felt taken care of from the moment we arrived. The resort itself is beautiful, the beach is stunning, and the service made the experience even better. A special thank you to Roger, our concierge, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. He checked in on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped coordinate anything we asked for. His kindness and professionalism made our trip that much smoother. We also want to recognize Hugo, who quickly became one of our favorite waiters during the trip. His service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always making sure we were enjoying ourselves. It’s team members like him that really elevate the experience. Overall, we had a wonderful time and are so grateful to the staff who helped make our vacation memorable. We would absolutely recommend Secrets Maroma and hope to return again soon!

Secrets Maroma is known worldwide as an incredible Adults only resort from under the management of UVC’s AM Resorts consortium to Hyatt Regency’s group from 2024, but what is the ever present consistency is the remarkable talent and attention from all of the staff there, from Senior Management through to restaurant and bar Servers and House Keeping Maids. They all contribute to create the most marvellous experience. We arrived after a week at Secrets Akumal with my wife having suffered a delicate and serious injury. The special attention we were given to our needs was way above what anyone could have expected. It is for the Senior managers that the most acclaim must be given. Around the Resort, please applaud 👏👏👏 * World Cage - although UVC Gold+ members we took breakfast and lunch there every day despite the option of à la carte restaurant, simply because we love the selection and quality of the food options available - Servers Feddy, Roberto and Antonio for their constant attention!👌 * Preferred Club Beach Bar, Concierge Franco, who is destined for greater things with his new promotion, and especially for Server Balbina who remembered us from our numerous previous visits. What a beautiful superstar 😘 Finally, our final award is for our extra special building Concierge, Katya. What a fantastic, funny and full of surprises this young lady is! This vacation was a belated 70th birthday treat fit me. When we were invited to the Sugar Reef bar shortly before we left, I expected cake and a singalong. What this darling lady was the most wonderful and incredible surprise with the entertainment team that will stay with me forever.
