Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

A beautiful hotel, we had a Junior Suite which was lovely. We chose the preferred club which was great but not essential as plenty of sunbeds and restaurants available. The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious we ate in every restaurant and couldn't really select our favourite as they are all so good. The buffet breakfast and lunch was probably the best buffet we'd ever experienced - incredible chose of food. The entertainment was very good both during the day and in the evening. Never seen so many trollies - fruit, gin, ice cream, beer that was delivered on an inflatable boat and even one to clean your sun glasses. Only negative was that you can't make restaurant reservations, it's first come first served with a buzzer if you are on a wait list which was OK but you never knew how long you'd have to wait and we would have much preferred a booking system. Otherwise an excellent hotel and one we would recommend.

My boyfriend & I had a very enjoyable stay even though we were only there for 21/2 days as we transferred from another resort & joined the Preferred club . Zayda & Luis UVC Concierge were very professional as well as helpful. Manual who helped us join the preferred club and his supervisor she was extremely professional as well as kind, and the gifts that were given to us was amazing. We’d like to thank you All for helping us have a wonderful vacation in the short amount of time that we were there and we will be returning.

Marco Arriga was our concierge and was excellent. He texted me daily to tell me what the activities were. Great at what he does. Very professional and kind.

We stayed in building 16, not a swim up room but our balcony was comfortable. The pools were never crowded so I don’t think a swim up is a requirement. Our concierge Felipe was amazing from check in till checkout. He always remembered our names and greeted us everytime he saw us. We will definitely request his building when we return. Our housekeeper Alma was lovely, our room was beautifully refreshed each day, and don’t skip having turndown service! Edy and Franco were excellent help at the pool, and cleaned our sunglasses everyday. Victor was the best, bringing drinks, food and smiles all day at our pool bed. The best pool bed btw is Contoy! Right at the end and private access to the pool. The pizza station with Luis and Ruben was our lunch at least 3 times and they showed us how to make our own pizzas! We felt pampered from start to finish.

Had a wonderful time at Secrets Maroma. Weather was almost perfect except for rain on our last day but still had amazing days at the pool and beach. Portofino was a standout restaurant with a delicious Lamb Tortellini. Sergio did an outstanding job with the service and was incredibly friendly. I can't remember all of the staff's names but Felipe and Octavio were so kind in greeting us and helping us with our bags and keeping our room well kept. Definitely recommend upgrading to Preferred if you can to enjoy the amenities that come with it (exclusive beach and lounge access). Also the couples massage and hydrotherapy circuit were fantastic. There was some construction happening during our stay which will most likely not be done until beginning of 2026. I believe it was the main bar area in the center of the resort. Keep this in mind when deciding when to book. It didn't change our stay much but having that going on while on vacation may not be ideal for some. Overall, the food quality is excellent and the decor around the resort makes it feel like you're immersed in Mexican culture.
