Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

My husband and I visited Secrets Maroma Beach in December 2025. We also visited in December 2019 (Six years ago) and loved the resort then but our latest visit was even better. The resort has definitely made some improvements. We did not choose Preferred Club so can't comment on that. The food in all the restaurants was very good! No bad choices! A special shout out to Eduardo who served us in the lobby bar at night. He went out of his way to take care of us even when the lobby was extremely busy. We had excpetional service from all the servers at every restaurant, including the buffet and also great service at the pool/beach. Our conceirge, Erick was also very courteous and took the time to ensure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We also enjoyed the fact that there was extensive live entertainment throughout the resort, day and night. We highly recommend this resort and we will be back.

Secrets Maroma is a must visit when in this area! The property is impressive and there is never a sense of boredom with the sheer array of activities on offer. The food was delicious and there are many options to choose from. The staff are always so accommodating. I definitely want to mention Santiago, who possesses a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna - always so approachable. Also Angel, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay exceeded our expectations. Sara is also lovely and always sporting a lovely smile.

I stayed here over Christmas and this place was amazing. The food was all delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly, always willing to accommodate. In particular Santiago who was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, and Angel who helped make our trip as excellent as it was. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing honeymoon at Secrets Maroma. This was our first time visiting the Cancun area, and it was easily the best hotel experience we’ve had in our lives. From the moment we arrived, the service was world-class; the staff truly treats every guest like royalty. A special shout-out to our concierge, Angel, who made us feel so welcome. He checked in on us constantly and provided excellent advice on how to make the most of the resort. The food was also exquisite—we especially loved the sushi at Himitsu. 10/10 to anyone who wants a peaceful idyllic retreat at one of the world's finest beaches.

We came here for 2 weeks in November and had high expectations after seeing all the reviews and awards and it definitely lived up to every single one of them. The hotel, the room, the staff, the food, the service, the excursions everything about it was just perfect. We’ve been to other luxury 5 star hotels around the world (including other Secrets locations) and let me say that this is definitely the best one we’ve ever been to. They say the people and service can make or break a holiday and it definitely made ours. The staff at Maroma cannot do enough for you and are so friendly and love to have a chat. A special mention goes to Roberto & Sara in World Cafe (superior service and we had some great chats) and Oscar in Entertainments (brilliant Spanish lesson and bike ride) Our room and the view were exceptional, perfectly cleaned and stocked daily. The grounds and beach were beautiful. Such a lovely atmosphere and vibe. This isn’t a party hotel (which we loved) it’s a relaxing chilled vibe and we met some lovely people from all over the world. We tried all the restaurants and didn’t have one bad meal - all the food was delicious (also the cocktails here are amazing) and room service was great too. Mexico itself is a beautiful country. We did a lot of excursions including swimming with turtles, zip lines, atv’s, snorkelling in the reef, cenotes, speedboats in Cancun. Every trip was amazing and so were the locals. We loved this place so much and there’s so much more we want to do that we’ve booked to come back in Nov 26 - can’t wait to see you all again!
