Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

The staff were the absolute highlight of the experience. We can call out the pool staff as exceptional, Mario, Daniel, Luis, the hosts at Rosewater daytime Lili and eve Christian and most of the wait staff were also great with our experience mostly at Rosewater. The rooms were large and pleasant and the balcony nice and big. We enjoyed the daily M&M’s and Pringles. Small and impt things. Not enough hot water though. The issues were the indoor restaurants at Breathless were SO loud with many groups yelling at one another from across the table but hey they were having fun on vacation so it is what it is. The vibe between Secrets and Breathless is very different so we tended to stay on the Secrets side mostly as we prefer a more quiet al fresco experience. We had one very good meal at the Asian restaurant otherwise the food was not great. It always arrived w great presentation but taste was so so to not great. The last comment is totally on us. We didn’t research enough. The ocean is sludgy and dark colour in this part of Mexico so if you are an ocean lover you will be very disappointed. No pretty blue ocean to enjoy. All in all it was ok but next time we will go to another resort in a different location in Mexico.

well above average for most caribbean resorts. staff worked hard to make sure i was happy and comfortable. Rooms exceptional, pool exceptional. Even making sure there were enough lounge chairs for everyone

For our 8 day trip Secrets Maroma Beach resort was absolutely amazing. The facilities, the beach, the food was over the top. It's no wonder this resort is rated as a Diamond 5 Start resort. It's one of the best Secrets we have been to. But what made this place so amazing are the people who work there. Our hats off to Javier Estelrich, the GM, who obviously knows how to find the right people to work at Secrets. As UVC Impressions Black members we have been to a number of Secrets resorts in Mexico and DR and know that it's the Leadership that always makes the difference. Secrets Maroma Beach has topped them all! While we had many people make our stay special, we want to give specific shout outs to people like Patricia who kept our room tip top both day and night for our 8 nights. We always were always met by Alejandro at Coco Cafe with a happy face every time we walked in to grab a coffee. Best Cappuccino on the planet Our beach boys, Victor & Luis sure know how to make a 'day at the beach' something special. And whenever we were pool side, Ana our Server and Franco our pool concierge went out of their way to make us feel special and Luis, our pizza man, was always ready to make a special pizza. Our dinners where absolutely amazing at the French and Italian restaurants. A BIG thanks to Chef Mohamed at the French and Chef Cesar at the Italian and their teams- we think with the way these teams prepare a meal they should be rated as a Michelin 3 Star. Truly amazing. And a very special thanks to our servers, Luis at the French and Bernardo at the Italian, for making our dinners just more than a place to eat. You guys have been at Secrets Maroma Beach for over 10 years, and it show. You know how to make a guest feel real special. But we have to give a VERY SPECIAL mention to Bramden, our concierge, in building 26. While for this trip we didn't get bumped up to a front building, after a couple days of being taken care of by Bramden we both agreed that we would forego a front building upgrade to keep Bramden as our concierge. He is really that good! We have never had such amazing care and attention given to us at any other resort, not just a Secrets resort- anywhere we have been. He was absolutely amazing, always finding ways to make our stay the best. How often do you see a resort staff member stay late everyday to make sure everything is perfect for your vacation? We hope that management is aware that Bramden exemplifies the perfect kind of guest service person to take care of guests at a top-notch resort. We hope Secrets management recognizes Bramden and fully appreciates what an exceptional employee he is. Don't loose this guy!! So, with all these amazing people we are already planning our next visit to Secrets Maroma Beach

We had an amazing time at Secrets Maroma Beach. Everyone was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Angel was a great concierge. Luis and William made dinner very enjoyable. Enrique was very helpful at the gym. We cannot wait to come back!

This was our first time staying at this resort, and we absolutely loved the location—tucked away outside the hotel zone and wonderfully secluded. The property itself feels very upscale and well maintained. We booked an oceanfront swim out in the Club section, and check in was smooth. Our check in host even guided us past the timeshare team, which was appreciated. Our room was excellent, and we especially loved the convenience of the swim out access. It also came with a butler; while he was friendly and always present at his desk, I personally found him a bit less proactive than expected based on a previous butler experience at another resort. That may just be a preference thing. The pool area was great—large enough to offer both lively and quiet areas depending on what you’re looking for. The only downside was the early “towel saving” situation, which sometimes made finding chairs tricky. Poolside drink service could be inconsistent, and we occasionally had to flag someone down. On the bright side, the roaming carts offering ice cream and eyeglass cleaning were a fun touch! Food options were plentiful and consistently very good, and we enjoyed the spa and entertainment as well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning. One important note for summer travelers: we visited in July during a heavy sargassum season. The resort worked hard to keep the beach clear, but if you’re a big beach person, it’s worth keeping the time of year in mind.
