Perfect tropical vacation
We had an amazing time at Secrets Maroma Beach. Everyone was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Angel was a great concierge. Luis and William made dinner very enjoyable. Enrique was very helpful at the gym. We cannot wait to come back!

Wonderful Stay with Great Amenities and a Few Small Hiccups
This was our first time staying at this resort, and we absolutely loved the location—tucked away outside the hotel zone and wonderfully secluded. The property itself feels very upscale and well maintained. We booked an oceanfront swim out in the Club section, and check in was smooth. Our check in host even guided us past the timeshare team, which was appreciated. Our room was excellent, and we especially loved the convenience of the swim out access. It also came with a butler; while he was friendly and always present at his desk, I personally found him a bit less proactive than expected based on a previous butler experience at another resort. That may just be a preference thing. The pool area was great—large enough to offer both lively and quiet areas depending on what you’re looking for. The only downside was the early “towel saving” situation, which sometimes made finding chairs tricky. Poolside drink service could be inconsistent, and we occasionally had to flag someone down. On the bright side, the roaming carts offering ice cream and eyeglass cleaning were a fun touch! Food options were plentiful and consistently very good, and we enjoyed the spa and entertainment as well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning. One important note for summer travelers: we visited in July during a heavy sargassum season. The resort worked hard to keep the beach clear, but if you’re a big beach person, it’s worth keeping the time of year in mind.

The best
The property was absolutely beautiful. Food was outstanding and there was food around all the time. Little carts came around with fruit or ice cream or to clean your eye glasses. Great service and friendly atmosphere
