Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

Best vacation ever! Amazing resort. The staff is truly amazing and we felt like royalty every single day. Our personal concierge Francia Torres was fantastic. She was there for us for whatever we needed. So kind and very good at her job. We are definitely coming back!

This resort is located on the Riviera Maya. The beach has beautiful white sand with no rocks and minimal seaweed. The water is crystal clear and was warm even in November. The pools were great with plenty of shade available during the sunshine hours. There was always some sort of activity going on. Beach volleyball, water basketball football throwing games, mini golf, dance lessons, Spanish lessons, tequila, tastings, etc. The shows were outstanding. They usually start around 7 PM and go past midnight sometimes. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious. We had a swim out room, but it was a little too cool to utilize in November. The staff was friendly and efficient. There were several who were great, but these were the most memorable: #1 was definitely our concierge, Luis. He made reservations, provided advice, coordinated with other staff, and made certain we had balloon’s and cake for my birthday celebration. Honorable mention goes to Brandon, our building concierge. Our waiter at our poolside dinner was Effran and he worked hard to make our meal special, and even provided a rose for my wife. Our private dinner in the wine cellar was awesome. We danced to the violin music before dinner and between courses. The staff who made that night special were Daniel (Italian restaurant manager), Salvador (our waiter), and Herla (our hostess). Thanks to all! We’ll be back!

This was our third time returning to Secrets Maroma Beach. We adore it here for so many reasons. I want to begin by going over some of the staff that went out of their way to make our stay amazing and had excellent customer service. Our concierge, Roberto in preferred club building 25 was absolutely outstanding. He knew our names before we even checked in and greeted us after hours in the evening on our first night after we checked in. He handled all of our requests immediately upon arriving from booking dinners to cabanas at the beach. My husband wanted a rose for me at dinner as well as roses in the room one night and Roberto helped set that all up and made sure it went smoothly. When we got back to our room after dinner, the jacuzzi tub was filled with water and bubbles with champagne and roses everywhere. It was so special and romantic but the part that we couldn’t get over was that the tub was hot! They must have communicated when we were leaving dinner or having dessert at dinner in order for the tub to have been that hot when we got back. He was friendly, got to know you and your names, made you feel so at home, and out of all the times we have been here he was our absolute favorite concierge and he truly made us feel so welcome. A couple of other staff members we wanted to acknowledge are: Dario that was the waiter at the beach cabanas. He was so sweet! He would bring us special fresh ice water once we got there everyday filled with mint and cucumber in wine glasses, it was such a great idea and we’ve never had anyone do this before there until now- we definitely give him credit on that! He was extremely attentive, would bring extra towels and even sweep the steps of the cabana out. We adored him! Another favorite was Abelardo who was a server for events at Rock Lobster at the preferred club and at the Mexican Revolution dinner. He was SO much fun at Rock Lobster flashing lights when they served you food and making sure you had everything you needed. Not only that, but he was dancing with everyone just truly having a great time and putting everyone in such a great mood. He is a genuine person and we truly adored him! We also loved Efrain at our romantic dinner on the beach! We had him a few years back and remembered him from when we were here last. We love seeing that the same staff are still here and he was so accommodating and a great waiter for our meal. The only miss was that we always do preferred club and the breakfast staffing seemed lower than the norm. This ended up causing longer wait times and a lot of empty tables because they didn’t have the staff to serve everyone at once. This is not at fault to any of the staff, but more to the corporate or staffing people because It seemed like there were a lot less staff than previous years. We never had to wait prior and they used to have all their tables full. This was the only miss and not even a complaint but something we noticed since we did pay the extra to stay in preferred club. We would recommend preferred club because you do get the extra preferred area with the amazing views and the fire at night. We also LOVED rock lobster. That was our favorite event and the food and band were both excellent. The food is incredible all around and the drinks are also amazing for an all inclusive feel that they’re on the higher end. We love the rooms, the cleanliness of the rooms, the way everyone on their staff is so friendly, all the events that they are constantly setting up and taking down. Their work does not go unnoticed. They truly work so hard and I hope they are noticed for what they do for their guests day in and day out. We absolutely love it here and will be back! A bonus is the adorable coatis that run around the property too!

We are long time members of UVC and continue to visit Secrets Maroma on an annual basis. We are a couple that has few basic needs. My wife likes to read by the pool and watch people, while I like to be more active with mini-golf, bike riding, kayaking and using the fitness center, Over the years. we have been pleasantly surprised by the improvements made to the resort over the last few years; most recently the renovation of the Oceana and Seaside restaurants and the Preferred Club. There are always people that make your vacation memorable. For us, Roberto, the manager of Bordeaux, was the catalyst for positive memories. Roberto runs a restaurant that is professional with a staff bent on meeting the needs of its customers. The key starting point is serving a variety of great food. The menu has a solid list of various appetizers and entrees that are not only tasty, but also plated in an appealing manner. The chefs need to be commended for the food at this restaurant. Ariel, the server at Seaside restaurant made our mid-day lunches very enjoyable. His service was complete and timely. He added touches like chocolate sauces to our deserts which were thoughtful. Secrets Maroma fine reputation as one of the best resorts available is well justified and we will continue to visit this gem of a resort annually.

The food was nice. The hotel staff were very friendly. The beach was clean and beautiful. Our personal concierge Marissa was very friendly and helpful too. Would recommend!
