Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

This was our second time at Secrets. It is an absolutely amazing resort. Staff are a notch above the rest. I won't get into the typical things that one expects from a 5 star resort but there were small things that tended to uplift our experience this time around: 1. Random one but in most breakfast buffets when I go to get Scrambled eggs, they are very hard and over baked. Not at secrets. They were also soft and fluffy and incredibly flavourful. 2. There seem to be even more staff at the poolside including concierge staff. You never felt like things were left unattended. Always a staff member on hand to offer to get you a drink or find you a deck chair although to be honest they appear to have added more chairs around the second pool which made it easy to find a chair at any time of day. 3. Turn down service and room cleaning was a step above other hotels. It is generally an overlooked part of a review but I tend to find at hotels that they only give one floor matt and it never tends to soak up all the water. Not at secrets, ample towels and bath matts at all times so you never felt like you were stepping in damp surfaces or needed to re use a damp towel. 4. We were greeted by name by every server that attended to us. I guess they know this because of your room number but not many resorts take the time to greet you by name. It's just a nice touch. Anyhow just a great experience and an elevated one from two years ago. Great for couples on honeymoon or celebrating an anniversary.

We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Maroma Beach overall. There was a slight hiccup upon arrival because we weren’t informed about the extensive construction and had to switch rooms, but the resort quickly worked with us, and the rest of our trip was fantastic. The food was consistently great, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. A huge thank you to Wilberth and Victor at the pool; Alejandra, Isabella, Marcelo, DD, Hector, Angel (Brown Sugar), Uriel, Daniel and Hector from the entertainment team; Luis from UVC; Rodger, our concierge in Building 26; and Sergio from the spa. Special thanks to Manny and Margarita at Preferred breakfast and lunch, Freddy at World Café, who went above and beyond for us every single day, and Torino and Abigail at the Preferred Lounge Bar. Also, Roberto at the buffet chilaquiles station deserves a shoutout! The staff truly made our trip memorable. Despite the rocky start, we had a fantastic vacation and would happily return! ❤️

We stayed for 4 days. The check-in process was easy. The room was nice but the mattress is really hard. The service is excellent. The steak and French restaurant are the best. The Italian was not as good, but from talking to other guests the restaurants are hit it miss by day. I would recommend eating earlier during the dinner time slot as that was when the food was the best.

A truly 5 star property from staff , service, cleanliness , food , and atmosphere. Can’t wait to return. I’ve never cried leaving a resort and ending a vacation but leaving here I did. We will most certainly be back.

Everything was great! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! The pools and property feel like paradise! It was the most perfect way to spend our 20th anniversary.
