Our stay in Secrets Maroma Beach was exceptional. The resort was clean, friendly staff, beautiful beach, good selection of restaurants, and very calm and peaceful. Our swim out suite was kept very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the extra perks of preferred status. The Preferred beach club restaurant and club house were very convenient and constantly stocked with drinks, good food and snacks. Especially helpful was our building 25 concierge Roberto Canul. He was available and able to address any issues/questions we had. We will return and request to be in Roberto's building. He definitely added to our experience!

I had an outstanding birthday experience at Secrets Maroma Beach, all thanks to Angel Lopez, our concierge. From the moment we arrived, Angel’s attention to detail, genuine care, and proactive communication stood out. He anticipated our needs, offered thoughtful recommendations, and went above and beyond to ensure every moment of our stay was special. Whether it was coordinating birthday surprises, arranging seamless transportation, or curating personalized touches in the room, his thoughtful extras made us feel incredibly valued and well taken care of. His professionalism combined with a warm, approachable demeanor created a truly memorable and stress-free experience. My husband and I had our third trip here from Oct 12 - 18 and it was even better than our first two trips. We have always selected the preferred club status as we very much enjoy the preferred club beach and lounge. The lounge had an incredible renovation between our previous trip and this one. The renovated space is beautiful and more functional. We felt there was one downside to this renovation, and that was that the preferred club check-in is now held in a separate area of the main lobby. Previously you were taken on a golf cart to the preferred club lounge, and it was an incredible start to your vacation. But, if you don't know any different, there is nothing wrong with the way they do it now. As usual, the vacation club attempts to do their presentation. We simply decline and carry on with our vacation. We requested to stay with our favourite concierge, Roberto Canul, and as always, he was fantastic. While we enjoyed the room and atmosphere in building 11 on our first trip, we could not imagine staying without requesting Roberto for all of our return vacations. I am sure all of the concierges are excellent in their roles, but Roberto is incredibly genuine and makes you feel like part of his family. We were happy to see our favourite servers Ana, Dario, and Carmen again. They were quick to welcome us back to our second home. During our previous visits, Oceana was our least favourite restaurant. On our first night, there was quite a wait at some of the other restaurants, so we decided to give Oceana another try. It was incredible, one of the best meals we have had at this resort yet. The octopus was cooked perfectly. Our server, the floor manager and chef were incredibly welcoming and requested we join them again the next night for a special meal. We returned and had an even better 3 course meal than we had had the night before. We felt like royalty. We attended a kitchen tour with the entertainment staff this year and it was such a highlight to our trip. A look behind the scenes was cool to see, and the entertainment staff did a fantastic job. We received several services at the spa. Lily and Miriam gave us incredible massages, and we were able to request them for our following services. I highly recommend them both if you're planning on taking some time at the spa! We look forward to seeing the additional renovations during our next stay. The theatre and music lounge were just starting as we were leaving, and the two poolside restaurants were set to reopen after we left. During the renovations, the resort had a temporary seaside grill restaurant opened right on the beach for lunch. Everyone loved it and I wish this is something they would continue! None of the renovations impacted our holiday in any way. I could go on and on about our vacations here, I've provided more specific details in previous reviews, but the summary is that we have never regretted a day at this resort and can't bring ourselves to try a different one for fear of wasting an opportunity to come back here. If you're unsure about booking your stay here, I would recommend giving it a try. You will not beat the service at this resort.

I started writing this review while I’m still here—and I keep adding to it as my stay continues. That alone says enough. They say “welcome home,” but it truly feels that way. I’ve been to several resorts, but this one is by far my favorite. And to be honest, I travel alone and I’m not looking for entertainment or lots of hassle. I came here to relax and unwind—and that has already happened more than I could have hoped for. Check-in was the shortest and smoothest I’ve ever had in Mexico. I’ve often experienced situations where they couldn’t find my reservation and it took forever (TRS was smooth too, but this was even smoother). Not here. Everything was clear, quick, and well explained. And checking in around 20:30 and still being able to shower and go to a restaurant—without a reservation—was such a pleasant surprise. It’s also great that you can walk to your room without constantly waiting for golf carts rushing by. The room is very spacious—I have a swim-up suite with wonderful sunshine. They honored my request to be placed on the sunny side, which I truly appreciated. The suite feels modern and well thought out, with plenty of towels, a minibar, a coffee maker with pods, quality bathroom products, vanity kits, and a welcome letter. Everything just feels right. Housekeeping and service are excellent overall. I also want to specifically mention Marco from building 15, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He took the time to answer my questions properly and made sure everything was taken care of. These small but genuine interactions are exactly why I keep adding to this review as I go—they truly make a difference. The restaurants have all been great so far—no bad experiences at all. All the restaurants are excellent, but Himitsu truly blew me away. The food was on another level. Chef Francisco created the most incredible dishes I’ve ever had—creative, perfectly balanced, and genuinely unforgettable. And what made the evening even better was the service: our waiter Francisco at Himitsu was outstanding—attentive, warm, and genuinely passionate about making the experience special. Together, they delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The waiters everywhere are attentive and proactive. They remember what you like and don’t hesitate to surprise you when you say “surprise me.” And that’s honestly one of the best parts—trying things you wouldn’t normally order and being blown away every single time. The pool service is something I’ve never experienced before. They are constantly checking if you need anything and hand out water (And cocktails) regularly. Isamar at the pool deserves a special mention—so friendly, so attentive, and always making sure I was taken care of. This level of service is not dependent on tipping—they do it for everyone. Truly impressive. Even outside the pool area, service is consistently great. Circy in the lobby bar was also amazing—welcoming, kind, and simply a pleasure to be around. You can tell the staff genuinely cares, and that feeling is what makes this resort stand out. The pools are spotless and well maintained. While some guests do reserve chairs early, there is no need to do so. Staff actively helps you find a spot if needed, and even around midday there are still plenty of available loungers. You can sleep in, take your time, and still enjoy the pool without stress. The quiet pool is close to the livelier one, but the atmosphere remains calm and pleasant. The beach is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend renting a beach cabana using your coupons. The service (Marco was great!), the sound of the ocean, and the overall comfort gave me some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. As my stay continues, one thing becomes increasingly clear: this resort consistently exceeds expectations through attention to detail, genuine service, and an atmosphere of understated luxury. Without hesitation, this is the best resort I’ve stayed at so far—and one I would gladly return to.
