My husband and I stayed at Secrets Maroma for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We read TONS of Trip Advisor reviews while searching for a vacation spot and we were throughly pleased with our choice. The service is impeccable, the food is delicious, our room was perfect, and we really enjoyed our ocean view balcony (picture is view from our 4th floor balcony in building 26). We paid extra to stay on the preferred side, which really meant staying in a remodeled room. We also had a special breakfast spot for preferred members and a great concierge, Roger. I recommend staying in building 26 since it’s closest to the beach and the pool, and our view was outstanding. Swim out rooms are more expensive, but they didn’t have the views or privacy of an ocean view room. We’ll recommend Secrets Maroma to all of our friends. Not a party spot- very classy, quiet, great for couples looking to just enjoy each other’s company!

We stayed at this resort for our honeymoon. We stayed in the swim out room, which is a MUST!! The resort was clean and the staff was friendly. The wifi was great. I have stayed at resorts before where they offered wifi and it did not work. You can also make calls to the USA for free from your phone through their hotel app. The app allows you to keep up with all the events scheduled at the resort, plus more. I would recommended staying at this resort. They also have many restaurant options for dinner.

Don’t think twice about booking this hotel! Secrets Maroma is a little piece of heaven... We have previously stayed at Secrets Silversands and although the rooms were stunning we found the ‘party’ vibe around the pool a little too much especially when we wanted a week of R&R. Maroma was the perfect balance offering a great range of activities and entertainment but also places to relax and get away from it all. Rooms We were located in block 21 and our room was fabulous. The light up step was a great feature and secret box which allowed you to have room service without interruption. Food We thoroughly enjoyed the food during our stay! Great selection in the world cafe for breakfast. We enjoyed daily visits to the coco cafe and highly recommend the frozen mochas. Our favourite restaurants were Himitsu for both the teppanyaki experience and also the standard dining and Portofino. Pool/Beach These areas never felt overcrowded and had plenty of beds and shaded areas if you needed a break from the sun. The entertainment team put on regular activities and aqua spin was a blast! The beach is beautiful and the main reason we booked Secrets Maroma. I was very concerned about the issues with seaweed and sadly we did experience a lot but this is no fault of the hotel and they work tirelessly to clear it. Regardless of the seaweed the beach was still our favourite tanning spot! Service The standard of service at this hotel is exceptional! Every single member of staff from the cleaners to concierge greeted you with a smile and ‘hola’! Special mention to our concierge, Maria, Lucy in coco cafe for being an absolute gem, Genesis and Maria at the World Cafe, Annel from Himitsu and Gaspar our beach waiter. Other staff who should be applauded (and possibly never get a tip) include the hotel cleaners, gardeners, toilet staff, towel folders and as mentioned the seaweed tidy up crew...I honestly can’t tell you how hard they work in the soaring temperatures. We chose not to use the spa for treatments as the prices were the most I have ever seen in a hotel (aside from Secrets Maroma) which is a shame. A fabulous holiday with so many memories made! Thank you Secrets Maroma!

Secrets Maroma was a little piece of heaven on earth. Beautiful landscapes, delicious food, and amazing service. I am planning on returning!!! But it really is the people who work there that made my stay special. Maria, my concierage, was always smiling and wanting to know how to make my stay even more perfect than it was!! She made sure I was comfortable. The Entertainment crew was very engaging, helpful, and FUN! They are all wonderful! Alex, Berenice, Alin, Cecilla, Carlos, Marcos, Joseph, and Myra made my trip. I would go back just to see them!! Thank you all!!!!! -Caridad:)

Came for a friends wedding for a quick trip. Resort is absolutely amazing. Our room was available when we arrived and we did not have to wear a wristband. All the staff is cheerful and friendly. They have all the little things added - shaver, toothpaste, sunscreen, bug repellent...things that most resorts charge an arm and a leg for in the gift shop. These were all set up on our sink counter with lotion, towels, etc. There's a small window/door that you can place your room service items in and the staff can get to from the outside with a key. No leaving your plates outside for bugs to gather. No weird towel card/exchange like most resorts we've stayed at in the past have had. If you have any doubts, don't. This is a wonderful place to stay. We have absolutely nothing bad to say about anything.
