Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

The resort is nice and the food is delicious, but a few aspects fell short. The morning after check-in, we received a 9:45am call from sales team about a voucher, which disrupted our rest, unsolicited sales pitches aren’t ideal on vacation. At Seaside Grill, we ordered lightly, but staff repeatedly pointed out certain items were sides, which felt unnecessary and a bit impatient, YES we know it’s all-inclusive, but I simply don’t like to waste food. At checkout, it took about 20 minutes to retrieve our one bag, nearly making us late returning our rental. We also didn’t receive a welcome drink at check-in, only realizing later when we saw other guests being offered one. Overall, the room was comfortable and most of the beach and restaurant staff were friendly and enthusiastic. However given these issues and the many nearby options, we’re not sure we would return.

Room, food, service, beach were all excellent! 10/10! We’ve been to many all inclusive resorts on Riviera Maya and Secrets Maroma is tops! Our personal concierge Marcelo Marin was attentive to our every need. The restaurants/food was 10/10.

We were blessed with a glorious 2 week vacation at this spectacular resort in March 2026. It's just a quick 30-minute ride from the Cancun Airport. Check in is efficient and includes a refreshing cold towel and a welcome cocktail! The beach is beautiful, the daily events are fun and the vibe is cool. Our building Concierge Marco was fantastic, offering and providing assistance with anything that we needed. Our mini-bar was fully stocked by super attentive Adrian and our room service experiences were great, thanks to Erik! The rooms are modern, coastsl chic. Everything is clean and well maintained. The food at this resort is delicious, with so many choices to satisfy every appetite. My personal favorite is Bordeaux (French) with waiter extraordinaire Domingo and manager Veronica providing top notch service. I also really love Himitsu with great wine conversations with Gerson, Chef Francisco's tasty creativity and manager Alan providing such hospitality. We had great meals with Francisco/Pedro at Seaside and Willian at Oceana. Honestly, there are delicious creations at every locale. Even a casual lunch near the pool becomes special with chef Reuben at the helm, or pizzziaolo Luis (aka Luigi) providing whatever your heart desires on his fresh and crispy pizzas. We also experienced grilled heaven thanks to chef Juan. Don't miss the Asado buffet dinner, or the Tuna Snoring show and tasting. Don't forget to grab a tasty cocktail from the top notch waiters and waitresses at the beach or pool (Marco. Eder, Aynar, Dario, Julio, Alberto/Betito and Balbina, Isamar and Ana-- I'm looking at you all!!!). Pool and beach accommodations were deftly handled by Manuel, Hugo, Jose, Edy and Franco! During the entertaining evening events or a stop at the beautiful lobby bar we would hope to run into our favorite team of professionals including Alberto, Clary, Danny, Eduardo x2, Machete/Luis, Valentin/Pedro and Gonzalo/Chalo. They are all great mixologists! You will also get great service and a big smile from Jesica and Estrella. Need a coffee and a pastry, stop to see the great folks at the Coco Cafe including Andres, Estrella, Carmen and Lucia-- just to name a few. We were lucky enough to spend some quality time chatting with Rodrigo and Jessica of Food/Wine, Paula from Prefered, Joanna, Monica, Roger, Aldo and our good friend Bramdon from the building Concierge team. It was fun to reminisce with them. Everyone is so accommodating! We especially enjoyed the Boogie Nights and Rock Shows along with the super fun silent disco. There is something for everyone to enjoy and these folks go out of their way to make every day special for you. Please don't forget to be generous with your tips, they are well deserved! I very much enjoyed the morning yoga by instructor Carol from Ottowa during the week of 3/23. It's always great to meet travel kindred spirits at this fantastic resort. I can't wait to return!!!!!

Absolutely spectacular experience! Our concierge Bramdon was amazing as well as Zara and Luis! The UVC VIP events were so fun and only wish we had more time! The staff made my partner’s birthday something special! I didn’t think anything could make us stray from Akumal, but the staff at Maroma was beyond EXCELLENTE! Much love and see you soon!
