Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

My husband and I stayed at Secrets Maroma and will absolutely 100% be back next year! From the check in to check out we were satisfied beyond expectations. The food was 10/10 the staff was 10/10 and would like a special thank you to our concierge Francia Torres who went above and beyond for us with all our needs while there. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed our swim out suite my only complaint was that the water was very warm but it is hot out so there’s that. But all in all it was a great vacation and enjoyed ourselves and the resort.

As a frequent visitor to Hyatt resorts throughout the Riviera Maya, my expectations are generally quite high, but I can honestly say I have NEVER had an experience quite like the one we just had at Secrets Maroma. This resort is in a league entirely of its own, delivering true five-diamond luxury from the moment you step foot on the property. My spouse and I were visiting to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. We were only able to stay for a single night, but the staff went completely out of their way to treat us like royalty. It was unbelievable how much everyone genuinely cared about making our milestone celebration special. Despite our short stay, they made a gracious exception and secured us a special reservation at the hibachi restaurant so we could properly celebrate. Their kindness, generosity, and above-and-beyond hospitality blew us away at every single turn. The resort itself is pristine. It is incredibly well-cared for and expertly managed, which is evident in every detail. To give you an idea of how stellar the atmosphere is: we actually had a mechanical issue with our room’s door key mechanism. Normally, this would be a frustrating hiccup, but here? It wasn’t even a mild inconvenience. The staff handled it with such grace, and the rest of our stay was so spectacular, that it didn't put a single damper on our trip. A massive part of what makes Secrets Maroma so special is the exceptional staff. I want to personally commend a few individuals who made our stay flawless: Talia (Concierge): Absolutely outstanding. She was attentive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to ensure our anniversary trip was perfectly executed. Franco (Pool): Franco is incredible! He kept amazing control over the pool chair availability—a rare and highly appreciated skill at any resort. He made sure the poolside experience was relaxing and stress-free. David (Amstar): If you are looking to book excursions, David is your guy. He was immensely helpful, highly professional, and possesses an incredible wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area and tours. If you are looking for an immaculate property where the staff delivers world-class, personalized service, look no further than Secrets Maroma. We will absolutely be returning—and next time, it will be for much longer than a single night!

We had a phenomenal experience. The staff was so inviting and helpful. We were especially impressed with how well they took care of the sargassum everyday. We walked down the beach and other resorts did not maintain nearly as well. The F&B team was fantastic and the food was actually great compared to some other all-inclusive we had been to. I can't think of any meals that didn't taste great and we ate sooo much fresh fruit. Room were great and comfortable. I read some people say it was warm in their room, but considering the heat index was well over 100 every day we were there, our room stayed comfortable with the A/C and ceiling fan going. They even had balloons and a nice note on my birthday waiting for us when we got back from the pool. Concierge was great and helpful. We did preferred and we enjoyed the extras on a special occasion, but didn't feel like you needed to do it. We did like that came with a massage and the upgrade to a longer massage was actually a good deal compared to what we have seen at some other spas. I wish we could have stayed more than just a few days, we didn't get to take advantage of all of the restaurants or what they had available, but loved what we did.

It is a beutiful resort. I would not waste money on" Preferred Status"! If you are not a Hyatt world member of part of the Vacation Club you may just feel like a regular customer.

We had a great experience. Food and staff were incredible. Wished we could have stayed on longer. My only complaint is the reserving of pool chairs. They said they didn’t allow it but every chair at the pool was “reserved” with a towel or book by 9:30am!
