Reviews for Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun
We ABSOLUTELY loved Secrets Maroma Beach! This was our first trip to Mexico, and with all of the crazy ways the media is explaining Mexico, I was a little nervous. Those nerves quickly went away when we were greeted with a “Welcome Home” from the staff the moment we stepped into the resort! The staff was out of this world friendly, and amazing! We personally got to know a few of them, and they all have the biggest hearts! The entertainment team is amazing! We LOVED Marcos! We felt like we had known him forever! If you are debating on resorts, GO WITH THIS ONE. You will not regret it!

Far from being a luxury hotel. We were recently at the Secrets Maroma for the second time now (our first being back in 2013). The hotel has since deteriorated greatly. Breakfast can seem repetitive, they served the same food every day. The drinks aren’t premium albeit their announced as such. In fact if you don’t pay attention you could be given a drink of poor quality. The staff should do more to have an upbeat environment. And worst of all was the restaurants staff, many of whom seemed angry when spoken to. The beach is great!

The resort was beautiful and the staff was great. Food was ok at the restaurants and better at the evening events and great by the pool. Only downfall was time spent doing the "marketing" visit. After saying no, not interested, they brought several different people over to try to get us to say yes.

My wife and I took our honeymoon trip here in September 2017. We absolutely loved the place and would consider coming back. This was our 4th time staying at an all-inclusive resort, and the food here was so much more impressive than any other place we stayed. The property is very large and every inch of it is beautifully taken care of. The staff is incredibly attentive and we never had a worry the whole time we were there. We drank the water, we drank the alcohol, and all of the food was amazing (this is for anyone worrying about things you hear in the news/from friends about Mexico) The resort is also very far back from the main roads and we never felt unsafe. Beach is beautiful and we had a lot of fun playing pool volleyball and basketball, which was on the schedule almost everyday. We had a swim-out pool room with a Jacuzzi tub, and we enjoyed both. Our concierge Roger Arroyo was so helpful and always checked in on us. We will definitely consider coming back
Me and my husband stayed in Secrets Maroma for our honeymoon in 2016 and had a perfect experience! The hotel has everything: several options of restaurants, entertainment during day and night, daily outdoors thematic parties (whit dinner and dancing presentations), complete SPA, huge breakfast buffet and Night club. Food and Restaurant: We went to all restaurants and it’s difficult to choose the best one. Portofino had a perfect pasta and in Oceana we order a huge and delicious shrimp. Bordeaux serves fine dining options and be prepared for less food (after all it’s a French style restaurant!). But no worries about that, my husband orders 2 main courses! Rooms: all luxurious, whit updated decoration and clean. We stayed at Junior Suite Ocean view. If you are staying at this one, ask for a fourth room (it’s better for the view). The swim-out rooms is not good: no privacy and why staying at this pool if they already have a perfect ocean front one? Preferred Club: for us, it worth every penny. The only difference is that we had a personal concierge (that helps you with anything you need: taxi reservation, SPA massage reservation, etc) and unlimited access to the SPA. This is what made a huge difference! Every day, when the sun was almost gone, we went to the SPA for a relaxing moment at the pools and dry sauna. Afterwards, we relaxed at the sofas drinking Clorofila Juice (ask also for hot pillows. They are so relaxing!). If you are not preferred club, you have to pay to enter the SPA, so… Staff: always kind and good people! Beach: beach is OK, clean and clear, but not extraordinary. I surely recommend this adults only hotel for a relaxing vacation!
