Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

My girlfriend and I just stayed at Secrets Maroma, and honestly, I’m not sure words can do this place justice. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the experience was nothing short of incredible. The customer service and overall morale of the employees are second to none. You might think great customer service is just part of staying at a luxury resort, but Secrets Maroma takes it to an entirely different level. We made it a point to talk to employees throughout the resort, and what stood out most was how genuinely happy, welcoming, respectful, and passionate they all seemed. It felt like they didn’t just work there — they truly cared about making every guest feel special. And then there were two people who made our trip even more memorable: Marcelo and Ángel, aka “Brown Sugar.” Brown Sugar was one of the most influential, charismatic, and likable people we met during our entire stay. His personality and character are absolutely unforgettable. He has a way of making you feel welcome, comfortable, and like you’ve known him forever. Every interaction with him was a highlight. The kind of employee you leave a resort talking about long after you’ve gone home. And Marcelo was simply one of the sweetest people we met. He was incredibly caring, kind, attentive, and genuine. You could tell that his kindness wasn’t just part of the job — it came naturally to him. We genuinely connected with both of these guys, and leaving knowing we may not see them again was honestly one of the hardest parts of leaving. Marcelo and Brown Sugar deserve every bit of recognition, praise, and appreciation they can possibly receive. If there is any way management can reward these two, they absolutely deserve it. A raise, recognition, whatever it takes — because employees like them are a huge part of what makes a resort truly special. And of course, the resort itself was phenomenal. The food was elegant and delicious, the drinks were unlimited, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the overall experience was an incredible value. For everything that was included, it truly felt like one of the best bangs for your buck we’ve ever experienced. But what we’ll remember most isn’t just the food, drinks, beach, or luxury. It’s the people. Secrets Maroma has created an environment where the employees make you feel like you’re genuinely welcomed, respected, and appreciated. That is something you can’t put a price on. To everyone at Secrets Maroma — thank you for making our vacation one we will never forget. And to Marcelo and Brown Sugar: thank you for being yourselves. You two made our trip that much more special, and we will genuinely miss you both. Secrets Maroma, you have something special here. Take care of these employees, because they are a huge part of what makes this place extraordinary. So sad we are leaving, best 5 days of our life.

Beautiful resort! Plenty of restaurant choices and the food was great. Top tier customer service. The staff aimed to please. We stayed on the preferred side of the resort so every request was met! We didn’t get any beach time in because it rained everyday! But they had a variety of activities on the resort! I would visit again!

Recommend for solo travelers looking for some peace. ! Service was amazing , food was great, they did not make me feel awkward about being solo.

Went on an anniversary trip and everything was beautiful and beyond what we could of thought of. The food was amazing at all the restaurants, our room was beautiful we got a swim out and it was worth it! All the activities were fun 10/10 also Our concierge, Roberto was the best! I can’t wait to go back again

Excellent customer service, the facilities were clean, but not at the level of a 5 Star resort. We bought a bottle of wine to get front row seats for a fire show that was rained out and we abandoned our table, but we were still obligated to pay for the wine so that did not leave a good feeling with us. Overall, it was a good experience and the staff were extremely friendly, and I would recommend this resort to anyone.
