Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

We had an amazing stay and were incredibly impressed with the resort from start to finish. The property is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate, and the level of service really stood out. Everyone we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay special. A special thank you to Brandon Gómez from Concierge and Elpidio, our Personal Butler, who were both fantastic and made everything incredibly easy for us. Their hospitality and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. Our room was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the entire property felt peaceful, luxurious, and very well maintained. We also really appreciated all of the thoughtful little touches throughout our stay. We’ve stayed at a number of nice resorts, and the service here was among the best we’ve experienced. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-end stay with exceptional hospitality.

We recently returned to Secrets Maroma Beach, and once again the resort was wonderful. The food was excellent, the service throughout the property was pristine, and every member of the staff we encountered was welcoming and kind. We especially loved the outdoor tacos served at night near the restaurants—they were one of the food highlights of our trip! However, the person who truly made this vacation exceptional was our concierge, Bramdon Gomez. What impressed us immediately was that Bramdon remembered us from our previous visit. With so many guests coming through the resort, having someone remember you and genuinely welcome you back makes you feel less like a room number and more like a valued returning guest. Throughout our stay, Bramdon consistently went above and beyond what we would normally expect from a concierge. He didn't simply wait for us to ask for something. He regularly checked on us, stopped to have conversations with us when he saw us around the resort, and made sure we had everything we needed—both inside our room and while enjoying the rest of the property. One moment particularly demonstrated the level of service Bramdon provides. We mistakenly thought our spa appointment was scheduled for a different day. Instead of allowing that misunderstanding to negatively affect our vacation, Bramdon stepped in and helped us get our spa day rescheduled. He handled the situation with kindness and professionalism and made sure we were taken care of. That is what separates good service from exceptional hospitality. Bramdon is friendly, attentive, helpful, proactive, and—most importantly—he seems to genuinely care whether his guests are enjoying themselves. You never get the feeling that he is simply completing a job requirement. He pays attention, remembers people, anticipates needs, solves problems, and follows through. To the management of Secrets Maroma: employees like Bramdon Gomez are one of the reasons guests return. A beautiful resort can bring someone there for the first time, but people who make guests feel remembered and genuinely cared for are what create loyalty. We sincerely hope Bramdon's management recognizes the value he brings to the guest experience. He represents Secrets Maroma exceptionally well and, in our opinion, demonstrates the qualities of someone deserving of recognition, advancement, and greater responsibility within the organization. As for Secrets Maroma itself, we continue to love this resort. Wonderful food, pristine service, kind staff, a beautiful property, and an atmosphere that keeps us wanting to return. We will absolutely be back—and we sincerely hope to see Bramdon Gomez again when we do. Thank you, Bramdon, for taking such great care of us and making another Secrets Maroma vacation one we will remember.

I would not recommend this resort to others. We were never told either when we booked or through any other emails before we visited the the resort was under construction. Not only was the Mexican restaurant closed permanently (El Patio) and Portofino and Bordeux were relocated to the Breakfast area (World Cafe), but we endured construction noise and jackhammers during the day and night. Our less than satisfactory experience started at Check In – We were told we would be called/texted when room was ready. Unfortunately we never received call/text – had to go back to reception to ask if room was ready and could see the key packet was already done. We would still be waiting if I did not end up going to the reception area myself Restaurants were certainly not a "Gourmet Dining Experience". 2 out of 7 meals were good – the rest were disappointing (rancid olive oil, fish tasted/smelled old, meat overcooked, Himitsu Red Curry dish was not a curry at all). Service seemed either rushed (server at Oceana) or seemed like waiters were learning on the job. Room servicing seemed to lack attention to detail - things like no coffee cups two days in a row, chocolate on bed some days but not others, etc. I would emphatically state that this resort is in no way a "AAA Five Diamond all-inclusive resort" and is not worth paying a premium for when the construction and sub-par dining make it a disappointment overall.

Our second trip to Secrets Maroma Beach and as usual it didn’t disappoint, yes there is some construction work going on at the moment but you don’t really notice it and the only real issue we had was not being told of some restaurant closures and relocations, nothing that was a big problem. The staff as usual were excellent and specific mentions should go out to our 2 concierge’s Roger and Marcelo, Marvin and Ana at the pool bar, Miguel and Darwin at Himitsu, Sergio at portofino and finally Jessica, Abbie and Miguel in the lobby bar. In reality all the staff are excellent and welcoming. The food is always good, drinks are decent and grounds are clean. We will certainly be back.
