Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

We chose to visit Secrets Maroma Beach for our honeymoon based on the countless 5 star reviews and 5 star diamond status. We were definitely not disappointed. From check in, to check out, everything was smooth and enjoyable. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. The entire resort was extremely clean. I expected the bathrooms near the beach & pool to be dirty, wet, and sandy, but even those spaces were always spotless. Our room was cleaned daily and never any complaints. Our preferred tropical king room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The balcony and outdoor tub were so enjoyable and the garden view provided such relaxing nature sounds every morning. We had low expectations for resort food, but wow, were we ever blown away! There were very few dishes we found to be just okay. Everything else was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated. Special shout out to our concierge Roberto for making our stay easy & always being available for questions. The bartender Eduardo at the Preferred Lounge was also so pleasant & remembered our drink orders after a couple nights! Leo from the entertainment team was fun and a great conversationalist. Every single staff member was incredible. The location was close enough to the airport, only a 35 minute drive. The beach location is gorgeous with turquoise water and white sand, although it did have sargassum most of our stay. The staff work all day trying to keep up with cleaning the sargassum off the beach. It really didn’t impact our stay much, we just couldn’t swim in the ocean. Not the resorts fault though! This is the perfect resort if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing, couples vacation. The pool area does play music during the day but it’s not overly loud and it’s not “party music”. Country, classic rock, soft pop, & oldies were mostly the vibe. The resort has been beautifully renovated and the tropical feel can be felt and seen throughout. There is so much greenery which really makes it feel like a tropical vacation. We absolutely loved the look of the resort. The layout of the resort was easy to learn. It’s a smaller resort that is easily walkable which we loved. The pool was pretty busy and most people claim chairs early in the morning, but we did come during peak season so that was expected. It could’ve also been busier than usual at the pools due to the sargassum. We definitely will return one day. Hopefully sooner than later!

We just returned from a week at Maroma Beach with friends. ALL of us had a wonderful time and this resort exceeded our expectations. Why? First, we have been to a number of other all-inclusive resorts and rate this in the very top tier. Some people might question the value (from other reviews) but we thought that it was worth it - as well as did other guests we talked to. It feels a bit higher-end in a casual, laid-back way. We watched a number of videos on YouTube and it's prettier and more impressive in person. It's casual and has a lush, jungle feel. Second, one thing that stood out was that the resort's employees universally were the nicest, friendliest and most welcoming group of we have ever experienced. They were always smiling and asking what else they could do (we were in the Preferred Club but not sure that mattered). Third, the grounds were beautiful. When we first arrived, we thought it a bit large and spread out (we prefer smaller resorts) but once we learned our way around, it wasn't an issue, and actually an advantage. Lots to do. Also loved the beach where we spent most of our days. Good news - you do not have to get to the beach or pool at sun up to get a chair. There were plenty available until 9:30 - 10. We didn't go to the pool but that gets more crowded and noisier. The best part of staying in the Preferred Club was access to our own beach area, a beautiful lounge and separate restaurants. And a shout-out to our concierge, Roberto! Fourth, we found the food as good as or better than most all-inclusive resorts. Lots of choices. Very good buffet - better than most. Not huge but plenty of options - but most huge buffets are filled with things most people probably don't want. Also loved the special lunches and dinners - almost daily. So many choices! We ended up tipping at most meals because the service was so good and the waiters were so engaging and worked so hard. Fifth, the fitness club was fine, nothing special; clean. They had one picklebalI court. I think it is a modular interlocking sports tile system. It's probably a good outdoor all-weather surface but the ball doesn't bounce well and it plays slow and uneven. It's not a court if you are a more serious player and are looking to get in some good PB games - IMHO. In summary, we left thinking it's definitely a resort we will be going back to.

Amazing resort and team! We were very well looked after. The atmosphere and vibe was relaxed and chilled with enough going on if you want to get involved. Luxury resort traditional feel lovely beach and fun pool action. Suited to couples 30 plus

Secrets Maroma is hands down the best resort I have ever stayed in. From the food to the staff to the screen saver like views, it was everything we had hoped it would be. Our concierge, Brandon Gomez in building 27 was more than helpful every step of the way and made sure our stay was paradise.

The resort was fabulous!! Marcelo was our concierge and went above and beyond for us. And Miguel was our housekeeper and did an excellent job. The food was outstanding. There was always something to do even if you didn’t leave the property. Thanks again Secrets
