Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

From the moment we arrived, we knew this was going to be a special vacation. Maroma Beach is conveniently located close to Cancun International Airport, and our transportation with Amstar was smooth, professional, and easy. Our Preferred Club room was spacious, clean, and offered beautiful views of the resort, pools, and the Caribbean Sea. If your budget allows, I definitely recommend the Preferred Club upgrade. The service throughout the resort was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. Some of the people who made our vacation unforgettable included: • Josue at the Cocoa Café, whose coffee and friendly personality became part of our daily routine. • Hector and the entertainment team, who kept guests active during the day and entertained every evening. The Asado Fire Show is a must-see! • Freddie at the World Café, who always welcomed us with outstanding service. • Selene and Alexandra for an incredible couples massage, along with Lucia for guiding us through the relaxing hydrotherapy circuit. • Patricia from housekeeping, who kept our room spotless every day. • Roger, our Preferred Club concierge, who checked on us daily and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. • Marrissio, who always kept our room refreshed with snacks and beverages. • Antonio C. at the Preferred Club beach, who provided exceptional service and always remembered us, even when working in different areas of the resort. • Zayda, who truly defines outstanding customer service. Her kindness, professionalism, and personal attention left a lasting impression. Like many Caribbean destinations, there was some seasonal seaweed during our stay. However, the resort worked continuously to remove it, and the beach maintenance crews were always out keeping the shoreline as clean as possible. This resort offers beautiful accommodations, excellent restaurants, fun entertainment, and outstanding amenities. But the true difference is the people. Every staff member we encountered made us feel valued and appreciated. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future.

This resort is close to the CUN airport! We used Amstar… recommended by our vacation club. Good service. Our room was spacious and on a higher floor with a view of the grounds, pools and the ocean. I’d recommend Preferred Club status. Be sure to stop by Cocoa Cafe and say hello to Josue, the best barista in the world!!!! Hector and the entertainment team run activities all day… then daily evening shows at the theater. Asado is a must see fire show. Plenty of restaurants on site. Stop by the World Cafe and say hello to Freddie. We did a couples massage and Selene/ Alexandra were amazing. Lucia assisted us with the the hydra therapy circuit. Housekeeping is amazing. Thanks Patricia. Our building had a designated concierge, Roger, who checked on us daily. Marrissio kept us stocked with snacks. Preferred Club beach is where we spent most of our day with our designated staff person Antonio C. We saw him working other areas throughout our stay and he always remembered us and met any needs that we had. If you get to Maroma Beach I hope you get to meet Zayda… she exemplifies customer service with a personal touch in every way. We would definitely visit Maroma Beach again. Know that we encountered seaweed on the beach, however there was a vehicle always cleaning the area throughput the day.

Our experience at Secrets Maroma Beach was incredible! We went for our 20 year anniversary and were there a full week. I highly recommend splurging on a Preferred room as this gives you access to certain restaurants, bars and beach. But even if you don't you'll have an incredible time. They have many restaurants and the food is top notch. The resort staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. This place is amazingly well run! I would go back in a heartbeat. Secrets Maroma Beach was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing, fun, luxurious vacation with incredible food, drinks and staff.

Our third trip to Secrets Maroma and it is consistently wonderful, rejuvenating, and a perfect getaway for my husband and I to relax and remember just how much we love each other. Our concierge, Guillermo Saldana, was accommodating, personable, the perfect amount of communication, funny, and really excelled at personalizing our requests and needs. To sum it up, he was ON IT and as good as the year we got Roger…dare I say, better! (Pantalones 😂) Isabel, our beach server, was perfect and kind and recommended drinks, which were great! We were never left waiting or wanting. The Preferred Beach Club bartender, Aaron, made us great drinks and the fresh fruit was nice. The servers there are so friendly and nice and the food/service is extremely consistent. Consistency is worth the preferred price alone. The chef’s special lunch recommended by Mateo was my husband’s favorite meal. I devoured the steak fajitas at lunch at Seaside at least 3 times and was happy to learn I could have flour (or corn) tortilla shells. I miss breakfast being at the beach restaurant as it was a perfect restaurant for quiet mornings with great service. Coco Cafe is worth the walk to get a coffee. The gentleman who seems to be in charge there was so kind to help me perfect ordering my coffee in spanish. Duolingo Live! The French restaurant is my favorite for service, second is Japanese (the sushi, appetizers, and desserts). Oceana was good but it was hot for dinner if you sit in the center. The renovation is very nice though. It should be noted that the female performer who plays violin and sings around the resort and during breakfast at the cafe is so talented! She sang one song at seaside that stopped all the conversations in the restaurant to listen. We were a little bummed to find out they have preferred club honeymoon suites on the opposite side of all the preferred club things. It should be noted as preferred accessible but at least we got steps in walking to the opposite end to get to the preferred beach and club. But the beach, bar, and location are not preferred. Not sure how to prevent that in the future as we did request (via phone call to the resort) the same building we had previously which was on the preferred side. Overall, 10/10 for service and providing the opportunities to love each other without a care in the world.

We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun and would absolutely recommend it to couples looking for a relaxing, adults-only getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and consistently anticipated our needs. The service throughout the resort was exceptional and truly elevated our experience. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, and our personal concierge added a thoughtful touch that made us feel well cared for. The resort itself is beautiful, well maintained, and offers excellent amenities. We especially enjoyed the nightly entertainment, the breakfast buffet, and most of the restaurants. Our favorite dining experiences were the Italian and Mexican restaurants, both of which were outstanding. We didn't have time to try the steakhouse or the French restaurant, so we'll have to save those for another visit. The only disappointment was the food served around the pools, which didn't meet the same high standard as the other dining options. One area that could use improvement is the vacation club presentation. We participated because of the spa discount, but in hindsight, it wasn't worth sacrificing several hours of an already short vacation. We were told the presentation would last 90 minutes, but it ran well over two hours. The sales approach felt overly persistent, and it was difficult to end the meeting when we were ready to leave. While we understand the purpose of the presentation, it should be limited to the promised timeframe. The memberships are also a significant financial commitment—comparable to taking on another mortgage—which made the sales pressure feel even more uncomfortable. Overall, this was a fantastic resort with exceptional service, beautiful grounds, and a relaxing atmosphere. Despite our experience with the vacation club presentation, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. My advice to future guests: enjoy everything the resort has to offer, but think carefully before giving up valuable vacation time for the vacation club presentation.
