Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

I stayed at Secrets Maroma for a quick birthday trip and the property and staff absolutely blew me away!!! I am not new to Secrets property or 4 star property but Secrets Maroma left absolutely nothing to be desired. I originally wanted to book online but had questions about the availability of rooms so I decided to call, and the agent I spoke with over the phone provided excellent service, answered all of my questions about room types and availability for my dates in questions. The agent I spoke with assured me that I could make my reservation over the phone & it was simple and they sent me the confirmations promptly. When I arrived at the property I was greeted and ushered to the preferred club check in where my sister and I were offered champagne and tea. When I mentioned it was my birthday I was offered an upgrade that came with a message for my sister & I. Next thing I know staff members came in singing happy birthday with a lovely mini cake it was delightful. We were given penthouse rooms that were spacious, clean, and included a beautiful whirlpool on the balcony with gorgeous views overlooking the beautiful scenery. We ate lunch at the restaurant and had yummy quesadillas and once again staff came in singing happy birthday with another mini cake… I was absolutely blown away!! We then headed to the spa where they told us the room was ready… it was a couples room and I know how difficult it is to have couples services with same day reservations. They stated that because it was my birthday my sister and I could choose upgraded massage oils it was absolutely delightful then we headed to do the spa ritual. The spa had a great ambiance!! After checking out of the spa they surprised me with a gift!! I was so grateful for all of the thoughtful touches. After the spa we went and changed and headed outside for salsa lessons. We waited outside a bit but didn’t see any lessons taken place so we asked around and the instructor said he didn’t think they had any takers for the lessons but said it would be his pleasure to complete the lesson for us. My sister and I had a private salsa lesson and it was absolutely extraordinary!! When walking back to the property We saw the large metal heart in the courtyard where you can put inscribed locks on, so we ran by the store to see if we could purchase a lock but they had run out. I asked my concierge about it and was told they would check on it. We dressed and headed to the French restaurant. Our server was nice greeted us & took our drink orders. He came back with drinks then offered us complimentary hors doeuvres from the executive chef which were absolutely amazing. While eating the manager, food & beverage manager, executive chef & our server came by singing happy birthday and bought out mini desserts I was completely speechless and teared up because it was so unexpected and special. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better the manager asks us if we’d like a picture and then handed us a lock engraved with my sister & my name on it. Secrets Maroma simply provided a level of service I had never experienced. Every thoughtful gesture, every smile, every act of compassion & care made my birthday beyond special. Did I mention this happened all within 24 hours. I encountered so many amazing people who made my day extra special Johanna Marjorie Jessica Gisela Karen Rodrigo (spa) Alejandro Emi Eric Jessica (restaurant) Veronica Irving I cannot wait for the day I am able to visit again but it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. I cannot recommend them enough, they left no stone unturned & it was truly a VIP luxurious accommodating experience with the most professional, caring, elevated staff. Secrets Maroma you all are amazing!!!

Absolutely Incredible Stay! 🌴🥂 Secrets Maroma Beach was honestly one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the bell staff, welcomed with cold towels and champagne, and escorted to our room. We were even given a beautiful tour of the property and our room, which made us feel so welcomed right away. We went to the Italian restaurant for dinner that night, and I had the minestrone soup and pesto pasta both were incredible! The food throughout the entire resort was honestly one of the highlights. It did NOT feel like typical resort food; everything we had was so good! The next day, we checked out the beach, and the water was absolutely beautiful. We did happen to visit during seaweed season, but the staff was very informative and explained that the amount of seaweed was related to the unusually hot weather. It honestly wasn’t a huge issue for us because the infinity pool was absolutely gorgeous, and we ended up spending most of the rest of our stay there. The pool entertainment and activities were so much fun! We met some awesome people and really enjoyed all of the aqua sports. Didi and Alejandra were AMAZING — they kept everyone entertained with pool volleyball and pool basketball and brought such a fun energy to the pool! Our pool waiter, who handled the back deck section, was also THE BEST! He was so attentive and made sure we always had what we needed. We truly appreciated him throughout our stay. After the pool, we would head over to Coco Café, and Josue was absolutely awesome! He was so charismatic, friendly, and welcoming every time we saw him. The workers at the breakfast buffet were also sooo great! They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made us feel welcomed every morning. The level of service from everyone at this resort really stood out to us. The rooms are soo beautiful and clean. They really do their best to make your stay super comfortable. Bonus points - there is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room!!! One thing I will say: this is definitely a dress-up resort! Bring your nicer outfits for dinner and the nightlife because people really do dress up, and you may feel a little underdressed if you don’t. Overall, we had an AMAZING stay. The service, food, atmosphere, entertainment, and staff were all incredible. We met such great people, felt so welcomed, and genuinely did not want to leave. We will absolutely be back!

Loved everything about this resort, already planning a trip back. Booked a swim out so I didn’t even care that there was seaweed on the beach.

Our entire trip was fantastic, our concierge Angel in building 24 answered all questions we had, gave us great advice and made our trip seamless. Marvin by the pool was top notch, our first day he learned our names and made sure to greet us by name every day and made sure we were always taken care of with waters, food, and drinks. The food on the resort was delicious, the rooms and pools were clean, and the white sand beaches were great! We have already looked at dates to rebook and come back based on our experiences this trip!

Our concierge Angel in building 24 was amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed and was always so helpful. If you need the BEST waitor by the pool look for Marvin. 10/10! This resort was the perfect getaway for a relaxing time. Can not say one bad thing about this place. We will be back! 💕
