Reviews for Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun
This was my first time staying at Secrets Maroma. Overall, it was one of the best resorts I have stayed at. The food was amazing and the staff was excellent. Entertainment at night was really good too. I've stayed at 5 star resorts before and usually have at least one thing that the resort can improve on, I can't say the same for this one. It hit every 5 star rating possible. I can't wait to return!
This is exactly what you have in mind when you dream up the perfect vacation. The resort and ground are absolutely beautiful throughout. The staff goes well above and beyond to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The dining options are amazing. The pools and the beach areas are fantastic. The entertainment is great and always provides something to do if you are up to it. Just can't say enough positives about the resort. We can't wait to return!

Not sure what to say that hasn't already been said. Location fantastic, staff excellent, food brilliant, entertainment team do a great job. If I was to be critical then my recommendations would be that as a 5* resort there should have been a shuttle bus from the airport we had to make our own arrangements to & from. The American guests were tipping the staff for everything from the man making pizza to the people putting out your towels in the morning which made us feel a little bit mean but we did tip the ones that had gone out of their way to make our stay as hassle free as possible at the end of our stay. The hotel isn't to particularly environmentally friendly. Air con in the room stays on 24/7 towels are replaced morning & evening & every bathroom facility has hand towels each individually rolled, it must cost a fortune in laundry. A lack of nibbles during the day, could have done with nuts, crisps or olives to have had with an afternoon drink or the occasional ice-cream or bit of fruit. There is currently renovations going on in 2 of the blocks & while they made ever effort to drown out the noise buy playing the music around the pool area incredibly loudly which was fine we just spent the time down on the beach. As I say I'm just highlighting some of the downs but trust me there were far more pluses. Don't often say this but I would definitely be returning just not in October as the weather wasn't great but it was hurricane season :-)

My wife and I celebrated our 5th anniversary here Oct. 9-13 2017. We are first time all-inclusive visitors and ~35 from Atlanta. We had heard from a couple co-workers that if you are going to do an All-Inclusive, do Secrets Maroma Beach. They were totally correct!! This place is a 5-Diamond resort and they so not disappoint. The rooms are amazing. Worth the extra $50/night in my opinion for Preferred Club for #1 the location (closest to Ocean/Min Pool), #2 expedited check-In/Out, #3 free access to spa multi-stage hydrotherapy which will be used after all the premium drinks you'll consume. The rooms are very large with big balcony a and comfy beds. Make sure you request 4th floor (top one) or 3rd floor so you can see over palm trees to amazing ocean views. The food was absolutely amazing. Breakfast spread was second to none with about 300 different options and an omlet station, fresh tortilla breakfast taco station, another egg station, a juicing/smoothie stand, a cheese station, and about 200 other amazing dishes and fresh fruits. Hands down best breakfast I've ever had and I travel A LOT with work. Other lunch food is great and is brought to you at pool or beach. Dinner restaurants were great. Favorite was fresh Sushi place and Mexican. French was good, Italian OK. The pool was fantastic and huge and a central social area...or you can just be left alone. The beach was pretty much off a post card and was manicured to pristine condition each morning. The water was amazingly clear and warm. But we spent most of our time at the Swing Bar on the beach. Great bartenders serving amazing drinks. From complicated and high end margaritas to good old fashioned Pacifico or draft Modelo.... you can't go wrong at the beach swing bar. The have high end liquor included, you just have to ask for it by name....or you get well stuff (which is still good). I was expecting the entertainment to be a joke.....but it was really good and very entertaining. They have an amazing sound system at the theater. The best thing though is all the people and staff. I swear there is a 2 to 1 ratio of staff to guest. It's amazing and every single person we interacted with from check in, to concierge, to bartenders, to waiters, to maintenance, to landscapers, to entertainers were genuinely happy to be there and so nice and happy......it really is a contagious happy feel. We are already checking the calendar for the next time to go back! Go here, you won't regret it.

My husband and I along with another couple just returned from staying here and we had an amazing getaway! This resort exceeded our expectations and was worth every penny! We would go back in a heartbeat! Service - we upgraded to the Preferred Club which we thought was worth it. The bar opens earlier than the others and there is always food available. Check in was a breeze and our building was close to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beach and pool - clean, beautiful and always plenty of chairs or beds to choose from. Food and drinks- couldn’t expect any better from an all-inclusive! Our favorites were the Hibatchi and Italian restaurants long with the pool side pizza stand! Wide range of liquor and beer. Room - we stayed in the swim up suite and loved it. We ordered room service for breakfast every morning and ate poolside. It was a great private oasis! Entertainment - something for everyone! We loved the beach concert with Martha and Coco. The Rock show was also a great time! We also renewed our vows during our stay for no extra cost. We were very impressed with the ceremony and the little extras we received. Our “wedding” coordinator, Arely, was super sweet and made the experience special for us - thank you! I hope to be back again soon!
