My wife and I came here for our 20th wedding anniversary. To say the least, we had an amazing time. All around this resort was the best of all the ones we have been to previously. The facility was clean, inviting and just comfortable to be in. The staff was amazing, attending to all our requests. We felt so relaxed and spoiled.

We enjoyed an exceptional week at Secrets Maroma Beach! The service that was provided was outstanding. We must thank Marco as our concierge, he kept us informed on each days activity schedule, he helped with setting up a taxi to & from Playa Del Carmen, always happy to help. We must thank Dario as our poolside server, he made sure to keep our drinks full each day we spent at the pool. Mauricio did a wonderful job finding us four chairs together by the pool. Recommend that when you get to the pool you find an attendant to assist with getting a spot. This was so much easier than walking and hunting for open chairs. The poolside pizza wood fire oven is an absolute must stop. Louis was fantastic and even gave some simple Spanish lessons while you were waiting. The Bordeaux restaurant was a highlight, Leonardo gave the best service, definitely enhanced the dining experience. The Teppanyaki Hibachi show is the only restaurant that requires a reservation, this can be made with concierge or on resort app. Alberto was amazing and hilarious. Shout out to Angel & Joanna as our kayak guides for the free hour excursion to the reef from resort beach. Great workout and loved the history discussion when we were over the reef. The beach did have sargassum, as this is the season, and the beach crews worked early and throughout the day to remove the excess. Our rooms were very well kept and serviced twice a day. Humberto made sure to keep our fridge stocked with all our drink requests. Maria was wonderful, it was very refreshing to come back to the room late at night and a turn down service had been completed. The average outside temperature was low 90’s F. Our rooms AC had no problem maintaining a more than comfortable temperature. The bathroom would benefit from adding additional towel hooks. The resort had an amazing atmosphere everywhere you went. The lobby lounge had live music everyday. The pool had live music. There were dinner/entertainment shows set up on multiple nights. The fire show was a highlight. The Coco Cafe had delicious coffees, ice cream, small bites, and the baristas were excellent. We were not “preferred club” and see our stay at a great value. We were only asked once to attend the “timeshare” presentation and our decline was respected. The meals were elevated experiences, the drinks were well made, and the service was top rated.

My wife and I stayed at the Secrets Maroma for a sales reward trip for our company. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was just wonderful in how they treated us and helped us and answered any questions. In particular, each building has a concierge and ours, Roger Arroyo, went out of his way to let us know about activities at the resort and in the area. In fact, one time, my wife left her swim shirt at the beach the day before and Roger worked with staff members to find it. The concierge at the main entrance - I'm sorry I forget his name, I think it was Roberto - also coordinated the search and the shirt was found before we left. All the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome which made it a trip unlike any other. I'm sorry if I sound over the top but it really was.

Long review alert. I can't say enough good things about this resort and the staff. Where do I even begin? From our fantastic welcoming arrival to our bittersweet departure, Secrets Maroma Beach treats you like royalty. We were there for a week. The rooms were clean and the cleaning service was great. They even have turn down service each evening. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. This was a family vacation. My brother and I had our spouses and my parents also came. We were able to celebrate Mother's Day and their 62nd wedding anniversary. My brother surprised the family with a reservation for the lobster night. There is an extra charge for this but let me tell you, it's worth every penny. Hector was our phenomenal waiter. The Goliath band played during the dinner. They were great. I'm not sure if I'm spelling his name correctly. Abuelardo was such a pleasure. Abom, Lumberton and Marisol made us feel like family. One of our favorite people was Hugo at the outdoor grille. He remembered our names after our first introduction. He made sure he got to speak to us each day even if we didn't eat at the restaurant. Manuel and Melissa were our daily waiters at the beach. They'd chat with us and made us feel right at home. Alexandra at the Italian restaurant was so friendly. We ate breakfast at the buffet each morning. I always knew what I was going to get, rancheros made to order by Robert. We met Miguel at the Japanese restaurant. His recommendations were excellent. There is a concierge assigned to each building. Katia was our concierge. She remembered each family member's name and quickly responded to any of our needs. She also checked on us at the beach from time to time. We picked a different restaurant each night. Pablo and Veronica provided excellent service the Bordeaux. My parents stayed at the resort earlier this year in January. Their previous concierge remembered their names and how long they were married!!! All good things must come to an end. We stopped at the bar before leaving and met Carmen the bar tender in the lobby. I had to hug her before I left. I regret I didn't get to meet her earlier in my stay. Her drinks were fabulous. Daniel helped us with our bags and told us to come back next month. LOL. Hopefully, we'll go back as soon as we can. Thank you Secrets Maroma Beach. You did not disappoint!
