We spent 2 weeks here for our honeymoon and it really did feel like paradise. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. The beach is the best we have ever been to and there is a really good atmosphere at the beach and pool area. Food is delicious and plenty of options. Lots of activities on every day if you want to participate. Spa is excellent-complete relaxation! Waiters at pool, beach and in restaurants are so pleasant and helpful. Special thanks to Rogelio and Yomelly who really made us feel at home.

We got married in Dreams Tulum and then decided to take our Honeymoon up the road to Secrets Maroma Beach. We were extremely happy with the level of service provided to us during our honeymoon. Everyone was very warm and inviting. There were plenty of activities for us to enjoy, everything from Spanish lessons, to flag football and soccer, to entertainment shows in the evening. There was plenty to do on the resort; we never felt the need to leave (only to get away to Playa Del Carmen for some bargain shopping.) The food here was unbelievable. Everything was cooked to perfection and we never went back to our room hungry. The restaurants are top notch and themed perfectly to the type of food being offered at the resort. Just be sure to bring long pants guys. Might sound like an inconvenience, but it helps with bug bites. Even the World Cafe, which is buffet style, will have something anyone can enjoy. Shout out to the omelette chefs at breakfast. Special shoutouts to the people that made our stay memorable: Daniel our Bell Hop, Roger our building concierge, Genesis our hostess at World Cafe almost everyday, and Sergio our waiter at Hitmitsu who we came back to twice. Big thanks to the Entertainment Team (Ursula, Alex, Andres) for entertaining us through your shows and events. Last, but certainly not least, my husband's personal babysitter and our favorite person at Secrets: Carlos from the entertainment team! We will miss all of you and we hope to be back next year to celebrate our anniversary with everyone! Thank you for your elite customer service.

In summary: Great beach, good resort, somewhat crowded, annoying upsales. Upon arrival, we liked the lobby and the ambience. However, right after checking in, got a salesman pushing timeshare. Tried to be nice and polite, wanted to get into the room, nevertheless, took at least 15 min to shed him off. The beach is great, color of the water amazing. Nice and clean. However, there is not enough shaded space to accommodate all guests at the beach. You got to get really early to claim a space. Really? This kills the whole experience. Didn't care about the food, not really into this. However been told by friends that it was OK, not bad, just OK. But wait, if you want to get a table for 6, you *must* buy 4 bottles of wine. Not a big deal, right? Yes, until you see the wine list. A $10 cabernet listed for ...... $220! A $6 moscato.... $120. This whole experience just didn't feel right. I doubt we would want to go to that Secrets again. Been to the Secrets Wine couple years back and that one was just amazing. Go figure.

They are unable to accommodate groups of more than 6 people for dining. If it is a larger group (we had 5 couples), they will not let you eat together / will separate your group to several tables. Otherwise nice place

stayed here for 10 nights for boyfriends 30th birthday. rooms are big, mini restocked daily. room service is unlimited 24 hours a day & food was nice everywhere. we liked the french restaurant & Japanese the best. the beach is gorgeous and all the staff really friendly. i would stay here again or try their other hotel in Cancun. we chose this hotel as it has the best beach. we were the youngest in the hotel, everyone on honeymoon or celebrating an anniversary, its defiantly a couples hotel. i would say is pricer so doesn't attract younger crowds.
