Where to start …. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by an enthusiastic and welcoming bell staff to our check in which was great but the hard sell on the whole club membership was over the top and quite frankly very frustrating and much like keeping us hostage, we were tired and hungry and just wanted to get to our room, also later after talking to other guests the variance in what was offered was also insulting we received an offer for $250 where other guests were offered or given $500 or more. The offering would not have changed our mind as we were not interested in the membership but it’s the principal what was wrong with us that we were not worthy of more? After we declined it was almost as if we had committed a crime the young girl running the gauntlet was quite annoyed and ignored us for the rest of our time. The incessant calling us in our room to see if we would be going to the presentation was a complete invasion of our privacy and an incredible annoyance. Once we were finally paroled from the sales pitch and got to our room Our concierge Katya was a dream we worried about nothing she took care of us the moment we got to our room until we left booking our beach and pool cabanas to dinner and after that from the pool staff especially Eddy and Luis and especially Alejandra with the entertainment team was outstanding the restaurant staff room service staff ground maintenance teams everyone was spectacular in their daily greetings to service. The entire bell staff was absolutely above and beyond they all need to be recognized the front desk staff was warm and willing to help us anyway they could. The room was immaculate the pools were clean which brings me to one of the few negatives in my review…. The pool bartenders were absolutely horrible piss poor attitude if you didn’t have cash they would ignore you good thing we always did but after the first day we never went back. The entire entertainment team was amazing keeping everyone engaged and happy the evening shows were super fun. Now number 2 on the critique the food… it was ok not bad but just ok understandable trying to please folks from all over and keep people happy but the overall quality could come up a notch we had the best food from all places room service. Teppanyaki was good and fun but the mandatory $140 is a bit pricey and $25 for a Sapporo?? In closing we had an incredible time and we are already planning our next visit. Thank you to everyone for all of your incredible hospitality and hard work we know it is not easy and we will be back soon.

I just came back from a dreamy vacation at secrets maroma resort. We got the best service we ever got at any resort we ever been to! Our concierge Hector Arenas did above and beyond for us. Few days into the vacation he came looking for us at the pool. He wanted to know how they can improve and what they can do better. This alone made us feel valued. No one ever asked us for that at any other resort! You can tell they care. The employees are working there for years. They always have a smile on their faces and each one of them will go the extra mile for you. Carmen from the coffee shop saw me once and watched which cookie I chose to eat. The next day when I came again, I didn’t even say a thing about the fact these kind of cookies are not on display. She said: “oh it’s you, and the cookies you like are not here”. She asked me to wait and asked it to be brought from the kitchen! Especially for me. This is an above and beyond service. The water aerobic classes that Angel (“ Brown sugar”) from the entertainment team were exceptional! He was fun, funny, full of personality and very professional. I looked forward for his classes. Stephanie the Yoga teacher was absolutely amazing! We practiced yoga every morning in the garden while the birds were singing for us. The food was above and beyond-variety, taste and service. They have a service at the pool where they ask to clean your sun glasses . My sunglasses were never that clean😍They serve you drinks constantly and always always with a smile. Things to improve: -The gym is small and there is no space to put a mat for stretching or for practicing yoga. -The mats were not clean but when I asked for towels to cover it, I received as many as I wanted and a big smile. - The breakfast is outstanding however they choose to serve an industrial guacamole which is very salty and liquidy. I asked instead for a peeled cut avocado and I immediately received it plus a big smile. Overall it was a vacation I will never forget. The resort is beautiful. The service is exceptional! I would like to thank the team members for being excellent in everything they do☺️

Amazing location with absolutely fantastic service. Went for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier. Yes there were challenges with seaweed but the staff was working diligently everyday to combat something out of their control, but the resort facilities were fantastic and the room was great.

Everything about this resort was amazing, from the customer services to the activities to do. Food is amazing, every restaurant was stellar. Our concierge Angle Lopez was excellent helped us every step of the way with book stuff like the amazing spa they have. Could not say more amazing things about the staff, everyone was very accommodating and happy to help you. The resort is stunning and very well kept. There was so much to do and we hope to return!

My husband and I came to Secrets Maroma Beach for the first time with two other couples. This was my second time at a Secrets and my husbands first resort ever. We were immediately impressed by the decor and the hospitality, comfortable seating, and welcome committee! Our room was perfect, no issues with anything. We like it cold and were able to turn it down to the perfect temp to sleep well. We did request alternate pillows and those were very comfy! Angel Lopez was our concierge and was so helpful and available per text. Send us the schedule every day which was super nice and convenient and helped us make reservations we wanted! Went to the spa and it was a fantastic experience and the deep tissue massage truly felt deep which I hadn’t had at other resort spas. The beach was well maintained and pools were satisfying. Best part was the service!
