Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

We had a great time at Secrets. The staff, food, entertainment, alcoholic beverages, and beach were wonderful. There are plenty of activities to do throughout the day whether competing in water sports or relaxing at the beach. We stayed in September and there was seaweed on the beach, however, the staff was productive on trying to remove it.

This was our first time at Secrets Maroma (or any Secrets resort) and the experience far exceeded our expectations! STAFF EXPERIENCE The ENTIRE staff from start to end was super kind and helpful, especially our concierge Guillermo at building 17, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience - he was a master at listening to our preferences, making appropriate suggestions and making things happen. ROOM EXPERIENCE The Honeymoon Ocean Front Suite was spectacular as it included all the little amenities that most resorts neglect, including the cubby for in-room service which allows for food delivery without disturbing the guests and up to date (and working) fixtures. Nothing in the room seemed rundown or neglected. ENTERTAINMENT AND FOOD The entertainment and food was equally as impressive. We didn’t have a bad meal and they offered fun afternoon activities (such as learning to create the perfect sushi roll) and nighttime dancing where everyone was allowed to pick their music preference to dance to via a “Silent DJ Night” SPA The hubby and I had an 80 minute couples massage, which was awesome. Additionally, the pre-massage hydrotherapy pools were spectacular. We will definitely be back!

The Resort was amazing. The only concern we had was we upgraded and paid for a partial ocean view room and upon arriving in the room we noticed we could basically not see any of the ocean through the palm trees. When we were at the front desk they asked about everything and we told them about the view issue. The hotel manager got with us later at the pool and he offered to move us which we declined. He later emailed stating he would upgrade us to the Preferred Club. I tried contacting him by going to the front desk but they stated he was in a meeting and they would let him know to contact us. He never got back with us. A supervisor called later about they couldn't move us and I explained we had declined the move and the manager was going to upgrade us to Preferred Club. She stated she couldn't do that and someone else would contact us the next day. The next day I went to our building concierge (Angel) and told him the information about the upgrade and asked him to help with reservation with dinner at a specific restaurant. Angel took care of all of it and got us the upgrade and a reservation. The only other thing I had a issue with is the hotel will not give any kind of paper map or any other paper material of information of the hotel. You have to use the hotel app. Which upon arrival no one explained. Otherwise the hotel was immaculate and clean. Angel was a true angel and took care of anything we needed. The hotel was doing some huge upgrade with a pool or something but had it all blocked off to not disturb guests. A little noisy but not bad. The nightly entertainment was wonderful. Was a bit put off that the property didn't have the normal steak and lobster restaurant which all the other Secrets we have been had. I would highly recommend this property or any other Secrets property. Have loved all of them. Big big kudos to Angel building 24 concierge. Very professional and a kind, nice person.

We just ended our second trip here and it was even better than the last. The location is beautiful, very clean and feels cozy without being too small. The real winner here is the staff- the service is unmatched! My husband and I spent the week feeling truly pampered and cared for in paradise. They really nail all the small details and make every effort to connect with you and ensure you have the best experience. Leading the pack was our building 24 Concierge- Angel. Every time we entered or left he had a greeting and checked in with us. He was so helpful! He arranged an added fan, always made sure we had water, set us up with a beach bed and overall became a friend as he prioritized our experience. I'd request whatever building he is in! It didn't end there and I'd love to shout out all the people who made our week special: Daniel at the bell desk, Hector and Pablo servers at the Italian, Ariadna and Daniella hostess's at World Cafe and Italian, Juan the bartender at the pool bar, Estrella and Abigail at the lobby bar and Manuel at the beach concierge. Each of these people gave us repeated positive service that made our trip so special. We are frequent visitors to the area, staying at many all inclusive and they are the best! We also loved the room set up and space, very spacious for the basic level! The beach and pool beds are also super comfy and we never struggled to find a seat- the chair game didn't seem in play. Lastly, the food and drinks are all really really good!! We hope to be back again next year! Thank you again for blessing us with a wonderful stay!
