Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

My husband and I spent 4 days at Secrets Maroma Beach which was incredible. From the start, the Amstar service, both from our arrival to departure transportation was flawless. Well organized and everyone we met made us feel at ease. The rides were punctual and the private transportation was a class service. The check-in process was thorough and the staff friendly and before even seeing our room we were impressed with the resort. Everyone we met and dealt with was fantastic and obviously interested in us having an enjoyable stay. Our Jr. Suite room was well laid out and felt very open. The patio was spacious with nice views of the garden. We had an "ocean view room" but the ocean was far away; however, that didn't really matter as we spent very little time there. The beach was amazing. Clean, great white sand, plenty of towels and lounge chairs. The pool looked beautiful though we spent all our time at the beach. The restaurants stood out for the quality and variety of the food and the services. And the options for indoor and outside tables were excellent. The interior designs were classy. The World Cafe had a huge breakfast buffet with many options including omelettes made to order. The entertainment options were plentiful and we enjoyed many of them. The only negative that I would mention is that there is a lot of music being played and if you want a 'quiet' environment, this may not be for you. We did manage to secure a spot on the beach that was far enough away from the noise so it didn't bother us. We had a fantastic stay and would return again.

Angel the concierge for our building was fantastic. We had great service the whole time . Highly recommend. Angel should get a promotion!!

This is my second time here and it did not disappoint, which was the whole reason we went back. From the moment you enter the grounds you know the type of luxury you're arriving into. I cannot single out an individual for excellence because there all are... but if I must, Marco was our concierge and was fantastic. From checkin to checkout the experience is just phenomenal. From breakfast to the beach, lunch at the pool the list goes on and on. Live entertainment around the pool area was excellent with solo guitarists each day. Water aerobics, grass games, water sports, beach games The rooms are massive and yet again we had a junior swimout. Yet again expectations where met and then blow out the water some more. I need to learn how to get on the VIP rewards list. Being from the UK it might not be as fruitful as my newest poolside friends from Canada and the USA who get to visit more frequently. Nightly entertainmnet program was pretty good for most nights. Although the prehespanic show didn't seem to go down well and lots of people left after 5/10 mins. Message for the Managers: the fire show and the candlelit acoustic set... need to stay. The Country pool singer on Tuesdays... amazing and the duet in the lobby on Monday night too. My only (slight) negative and it is so very tiny is the old archaic notion that men have to still wear trousers on an evening to get into a restaurant. Regardless of temperature. You do have options to sit outside in shorts so it really isn't a problem but... some areas only have 3-4 tables outside, so you'll have to queue but the biggest issue I have with it is that women are still allowed to wear hot pants, short shirts etc... it's old and its double standards for this day and age. Sure, no sports wear or swim shorts as that's not what this report is about but all the men wore smart tailored shorts and shirts/polos on the evenings... what's wrong with that? I always said that I would go back and I have fulfilled that promise to myself. Maybe a third time???

We were at secrets maroma And Angel at the concierge was super helpful, always willing to help and on point. Always checked up on us if we needed anything - felt very looked after and cared for by him. Super professional too

Everyone’s beyond friendly and dedicated to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Great food options all day long. Forever pleased with are stay. Angel are concierge was beyond helpful with information about the resort and good at what he does!
