Loved this resort! Went for our 1 year anniversary and had a great time! Beautiful beach and resort. Good food and drinks. Nice rooms! The service was awesome! Friendly staff, especially Edhar the server at the pool, he was very attentive, friendly and recommended great drinks!! We will definitely be back!

Our honeymoon at Secrets Playa Mujeres was a memorable experience, marking my first time in Cancun. The staff's warmth and friendliness made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Our swim-out hotel room was a highlight, offering a tranquil retreat with refreshing, shaded waters—a perfect escape from the bustling main pools. While the location a bit further north of Cancun extended our travel time for excursions, the convenience of the swim-out pool compensated for it. However, we did notice some areas in need of maintenance within the rooms, such as holes in the ceiling and worn-out shutters. Additionally, there was a slight issue with odors in the hallway, though thankfully not perceptible within our room. Despite these minor inconveniences, the resort's cleanliness was commendable, and we appreciated the minimal wait times for dining and transportation. The thin walls were mitigated by our sound machine, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. Above all, it was the exceptional hospitality of the staff that truly defined our stay—they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Overall, Secrets Playa Mujeres provided a serene and relaxing environment, further enhanced by the option to access the neighboring Dreams facilities. It's a great choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat in Cancun.

Let me begin by saying that Secrets is our only choice when staying an all inclusive. We’ve been to many of their properties. While this property is beautiful, it definitely shows some minor signs of aging. Only noticeable in the small details around the resort. However, of all the properties we visited this one had the most disappointing food. It was alright, but definitely not up to the standard We have come to expect from Secrets. All of the meals looked beautiful, but the flavors and quality were not up to par. El Patio was the best meal by far; Also the best waiter - Andrawy!! This property is a 3-4 star property, but the staff bump it up to a solid 4! Everyone is caring the friendly. Samuel on the golf cart was fun and engaging. However, Christian at the front was a ROCKSTAR! He deserves an ENORMOUS shout out. He made us feel welcome and cared for the entire stay. The golf course was close by, which is why we chose this property for this trip, and we played twice. The spa was good, Ari gave a good massage. The other pro to this property is its proximity to the airport; a pretty short ride 20-30 minutes.

Bed was amazingly comfortable. Service fantastic. Antonio in your entertainment department was wonderful, funny, very helpful very personable! 5 stars. We enjoyed our trip very much. The spa was also spectacular we went twice and it was so relaxing.

Let's be honest, these are first world reviews. I also believe relativity plays a big factor, at least for us. My wife and I spent three days at Secrets Playa Mujeres for a little mom and dad getaway.. Perhaps unfair to this resort, but we were always comparing it to Secrets Akumal. The hotel was well kept, clean and overall pleasant. We stayed in the ocean front plunge pool preferred club. The room was spacious, but a little dull, it didn't feel luxurious given it's price tag of about $1700 night. The room location "on paper" is the best money can buy, but the entire property is set back from the ocean a good ways, so reality was a little less impressive. We are huge bally bed fans, so we were just a little disappointed (ok, alot) to see the beds so far back from the ocean and behind a sand dune with vegetation. (not there fault, but this is a first world problem review) The main pool was fun and energetic. Entertainment staff did a great job with different games. Music was playing most of the afternoon. Waitstaff at the pool was better than expected given the amount of ground they had to cover. Early bird gets the pool chair. You won't find a decent location if you don't get out there by 9:00 am to claim a chair. (everybody claimed by putting a personal item on the chair) We ate at Oceana, MarketPlace (breakfast buffet), Bordeaux (French), Seaside (Seafood), and El Patio (Mexican). We enjoyed the food and service at every restaurant. Check in and check out were effortless in the preferred area. Other than that, I don't know if there is a reason to pay extra for the preferred club. I will say that we had a late flight, so we camped out for a couple hours in the preferred lounge. They have a bartender, light hors d'oeuvres and couches. I must add they allowed us a late check out, 1pm. REALLY APPRECIATED THAT!!! Overall a positive experience. I doubt that we would return, not because this resort did something wrong, but because we are resort snobs with first world problems, slightly complaining that our ocean front room with a pool is too far back from a ocean. Really! It's OK, you should judge us.
