In 100 characters, the review wont justify how good the resort is. 100/10 if you dont mind children.

The resort is very small which is nice for families and kids. There is plenty for the kids to do and the entertainment was pretty good. Especially the shows on the beach. Food: food was overall good but we did get sick and spent the 2nd half of our trip in the room. Drinks: the drinks were really bad. Every bar we went to and every mixed drink we ordered was not good at all. Between the mix of cheap booze they use and the cheap mixers the drinks were very low quality and not enjoyable. If you plan on drinking i would recommend sticking with the beer. Rooms: we upgraded our room to a walkout ocean view balcony with a hot tub on it. The room was nice, nothing to brag about but it was comfortable. The bed was great. We left and wanted to find the same mattress and use it at home, come to find out we can’t get it around here. Location: Port Adventuras is a great place, spend the time walking around the marina. We say sea turtles in it, sting rays, and eagle rays. We also got to play catch with a dolphin one evening. ( he was bored and was throwing a fit all up at us when we walked by). If I was to go back I would go back and stay in a condo and enjoy the area. It was very comfortable to walk around in and you felt safe. It reminds me of little golf cart communities in Florida.

We have just arrived back from 10 nights at the Dreams Aventuras. I will get the negative points out the way first so I can end on the positive! The kids club. My 4yr old daughter picked this hotel based on the image shown of the kids club on the website. It was completely different in real life. She loves a kids club on holiday but she did not want to stay at this one. I managed to go in and have a look one day and i understood why. The room was cold, dark and uninspiring, there was not a toy or activity in sight and the room was filled with screens - and the soft play structure was gone. This was very disappointing and resulted in us having to keep her occupied with other things throughout the day whilst also trying to keep her out of the hot sun. I realise it was my choice to take a child on holiday but you'd think there'd be more for them, allowing adults to relax for at least 1 hour a day. There was also no evening entertainment suitable for her, no kids disco and the one time the club put on a dance show, it was "Just Dance" played on a screen which in my opinion is incredibly lazy. The evening shows were very hit and miss, some were embarrassingly bad and others were ok with not much audience involvement. The nightclub "Desires" was very dark and dingy, we went to bed early most nights. The food was very average, i found it surprising that the buffet did not open in the evening, it would have been nice to have offered my daughter something other than chicken tenders or a hot dog for dinner every night as they were the only thing on the kids menu in each restaurant. The daily activities and options available to us could have been better advertised. I didn't realise i could use the kayaks until half way through the holiday. We had a swim up room with a small balcony. There was one day where we couldn't use it as there was work being done on the buildings above. The worker had created such a mess, there was debris all over and was not suitable for use. I had to call reception to get it cleaned up which took a few hours. The staff make this hotel, they are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Our favorites were Jorge and Katia to name a few. I cant remember his name but the gentleman at the concierge desk was very helpful in locating our transfers and even helped with the children's car seats. The hotel itself is very luxurious and has plenty of relaxing spots. It's in a fab location being in the very safe gated area of Puerto Aventuras - allowing us to take a short stroll to the harbor and see the dolphins was a wonderful addition. Its also very clean and modern, the rooms are done to a high standard and the beds are very comfortable. The drinks are great - lots of options and some great picturesque drinking locations. Overall we had a fab time here, they just need to work on the entertainment and maybe update some old photographs that do not correctly depict the space.

Very comfy beds, hosts & team were great in looking after everyone. Activities were inclusive of everyone and was a generally smooth experience. I would only say that the quality of food could be better all around. Would fully recommend to all.
