Velas Vallarta

Once again, we enjoyed a fabulous holiday at the Velas. From the moment we were greeted at the door, to the amazing reception upon checking in, through to the beautiful room and awesome pools, we enjoyed every moment. The facility is lovely, and has even seen some recent upgrades, the staff is amazing and always helpful, We absolutely love morning yoga with Javier and the pool aqua exercise, and our grandchildren love kids club. The pool service is excellent and the beach chairs are so new and comfortable. We enjoyed every moment.

Had a fantastic 10 day vacation at Velas Vallarta! Our room was very nice and had all the things we needed to cook a few times when we didn't feel like getting dressed up after being at the pool all day. Room service was also top notch. Shout out to Edwin at the pool! He took excellent care of us. Also, our maid did an excellent job of making our room look like we were never even there. Spotless when we would get back from our day adventures! I wish I remembered her name.... we were in room 3521 from January 10 through January 17th.

Velas Vallarta is super LOVELY. The staff could not be more helpful. They are all warm, enthusiastic and gracious. We loved everything. Our suite had gorgeous views. Both restaurants were DELICIOUS. You can eat buffets if you want, but we mainly ate a la carte and enjoyed every meal. We used every amenity at the hotel and loved it all. Also, if you ask the concierge they have discounts for golfing. There are a lot of people there to help with anything and everything.

This was our first time back to Velas Vallarta in about seven years. It was a top notch property before, and still is. The grounds and pool area are beautiful. The service in the restaurants, pool area, and lobby are excellent. Velas has replaced all of their pool chairs with nice quality ones. We stayed in a VRBO unit that was well maintained. Would like to recognize two individuals. Giovanni in the La Ribera restaurant provided excellent service day after day. Velas has several tennis courts and a pro, Roberto, that provides lessons at a VERY reasonable cost. Very personable guy. Don't miss the opportunity to take a lesson, or two, from him.

We have been going to Velas since the early 90's when my parents took my brother and I. At the time, the tennis pro, Paolo, was my coach. Fast forward 35 years, and I'm taking my family and children to our treasured family vacation spot and the tennis pro is the son of Paolo - Roberto! This review is mainly for him. We were beyond thrilled with his coaching. Not only was he technically in sync with what our son needed, but he was also in tune with him as a person and treated him so well. Our son wanted to bring Roberto to continue coaching him but we were happy to promise we would be going back soon. Thanks Roberto!
