Staff was excellent and always available to help or serve food was excellent and activities numerous . Pools were accomodating to all ages and the concierge were excellent . A great resort for familiescas it was on the more family orientated side of resorts Stayedcwith family for Granddaughters destination wedding at resort

We love coming here. We enjoy the pools and drinks. It’s like other places where you have to get up early to reserve a spot you want at the pool. People are out there before the sun comes up putting towels and books and hats on chairs! Pretty crazy. The staff will move towels off of chairs if there hasn’t been anyone there for hours. So ask them to move stuff if you notice they’re not being used for a couple hours. If you can find Marcelo at the pool he is the best! Always very attentive and knew what I liked after the first day. He’s very good at his job and should be sought out if you can. 5 stars for Marcelo.

I had a medical emergency and I can't express my gratitude for the professional and compassionate staff. While the rooms are dated, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, they were clean and neat.

My wife Grace & I just had our wedding here at Velas Vallarta and it was incredible. Our wedding planner, Michele, was so attentive and took care of it all from the planning stages all the way through the end of the reception. The staff ensured us and our guests had everything we could possibly need and then some. It is hard to express just how perfect Velas Vallarta made our special day. Thank you to the staff and one more special thanks to Michele! We hope to be back soon.

Our 4th trip in 6 years and just as enjoyable each time. Easy check-in and lovely rooms. We had a studio apt and 2 bedroom suite. Each very clean and stocked with lots of snacks and drinks, including beers! Velas is showing a little age but the staff keeps it very clean. The grounds are meticulously manicured and offer a vast variety of folliage. When we first came 6 years ago there were 2 peacocks. Now, we counted 2 adults and 5 youngsters. Room serivice is great, especially, for a family with varying schedules. There are 2 restaurants, La Ribera and Andrea. We were split on our opinions of which is the best. Andreas requires reservations and provides more crafted cuisines. Each night offers a themed menu. La Ribera a little less formal and a great view of the ocean. We absolutely love Enrique our preferred server. Everyone is so nice, it hard to named them all. Poolside service is extraordinary and offers it own menu. The poolside waiters (loved Victor) were amazing at handling our group of 7. We always do All-inclusive and it works well for us. We met some folks who prefer just to cook for themseles or go out to dinner. Velas can handle either with ease.
