Firstly, we had visited Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica last year and were expecting an equally excellent experience. Not quite so. Got off to a bad start when the room we were allocated had a vista of rooftops and the busy laundry and not the ' Garden view' we had paid for. This was soon rectified and we were moved to an appropriate room which was fine, but a few hours after moving in there was quite a bad water leak coming through the ceiling in the bathroom area. This was fixed later that evening and fortunately we did not experience ant further major problems with this room once you had got used to it's little foibles such as how to prevent the toilet cistern from constantly refilling ( god knows where the excess water was going) Several of the blocks appear to be undergoing a complete top to toe refurbish and i'm sure if this is planned for the other blocks it will greatly improve things and eradicate the tired aspects. Food and drink was fine but he advertised dress code was totally ignored by many of the guests and totally unenforced by the staff. This may be fine for those whose entire holiday wardrobe consists of a pair of water shorts and beach shirt, but not for those who bother to take some other clothes and look semi reasonable for the evenings. I don't want to sound too precious about this but equally nor do I expect to share the evening lobby bar with barefoot, bare chested people. The dress code is perfectly reasonable and is well advertised, why is it not enforced?? If the scruffy slobs are refused access to the specialty restaurants or refused drinks for looking like unwashed beach bums it may teach them to make a tiny effort and not to be so inconsiderate. The only reason this rating is higher than just average is purely down to the hard working and pleasant staff who are a credit to the hotel. All in all, fix a few things and this could be an excellent place and a true representation of the Dreams standard.

We stayed here in May 2017. It was great. Buffet is not really a traditional buffet. It has 4 make to order stations, PLUS normal buffet stuff like chicken fingers, fries, salad, etc... Made to order Pasta, Pizza, Steak, Seafood, Mexican. Jose at pool bar is great--- if you know professional poker, he looks a bit like Phil Ivey. Ocean has a bit of seeweed, but is still nice. If you snorkle, walk LEFT on the beach about a half mile it is pristine. Also, be sure to take a picture on the palm tree overhanging the water. It was our twins birthday and they decorated the room and gave us cake. Lourdes was awesome!

Thank you to the lovely couple who let us share their taxi to punts cana airport. We got home fine. We found the suit case lol x 👍 hotel review; The first week was amazing. All staff very attentive, friendly and polite, but by the second week at breakfast tables were not set. I had to find our own cups, cutlery and glasses several times. Cold coffee. The food was really good and tasty. Excellent choices. The entertainment staff were amazing. There energy was contagious thank you LG, Jonny and all the crew. Check out was really disapointing. We paid the extra to upgrade for our stay. Reception called to ask what time we would need help with our cases as we were on the third floor and there are no lift. No one came to help. We also booked a taxi at the same time the day before. We waited a while keep asking staff were the taxi was ......... as it was late. They said on its way. Never came. So thank you again to the beautiful newly weds for letting us share their taxi. I didn't get your names. Check out could have been much better at the preferred area. We were stressed by the time we left. No help with cases. Informed to wait at main reception after check out in preferred area. No one to show us to main reception. There is no air conditioning there, then we had a no show taxi. That was a shame. It felt are stay was completed so the good service stopped 😣 at handover of keys.

We just got back from our stay at this resort. I do not understand the negative reviews that I read about this resort, because there is nothing bad I can say about it. Except maybe the television in our room had very poor reception and about every channel was in Spanish. But still I can deal with that, I mean how much do you really stay in your room when you are a beautiful place like that. The staff here are very well train, some of the nicest and friendly people I have ever dealt with. The food was different but very good. The rooms were very nice, roomy and clean. We will most defiantly stay here again and highly recommend it to others. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation experience.

Our first all inclusive trip for a friends wedding. Other than the constant "up sale" that we dodged frequently, the trip was amazing! We are used to traveling in the states and getting to explore the area we are visiting. We weren't sure we would enjoy it, but it was very relaxing and the resort was beautiful. Some friends had to move rooms, but ours was very nice. The rooms were damp due to the hurricanes that had traveled through the weeks before we arrived. The restaurants all had great service and excellent food. Our safe was not working and they were there in minutes to fix it. We had told them that it was our anniversary and they surprised us with a bottle of champagne and breakfast in the room. We really had wonderful service the whole week. I would definitely recommend Dreams Palm Beach!!
