We were very pleased with the resort, service, food and how clean it was. They were very attentive to details when planning special evenings, dinners and excursions. They had a few great selections of great restaurants.

Just got back from a wonderful trip at Dreams Palm Beach. First and foremost -- ALL of the people we encountered from the DR both on the resort- and off for excursions were amazing. ROOMS: We stayed in the preferred family portion of the resort- building 1 to be exact. check in and check out were a breeze! Lester was great! Traveled with my parents-- in there own room-- that was on the ground floor facing the adults only pool--- and our two sons (10 and 11) --- our room was right around the corner. The rooms were fine- only complaint- our sink clogged - but housekeeping would quickly come and fix the problem when this happen. We did request a extra bed as the beds were small in our room- and that worked out quite nice. Our housekeepers Keila and Nancy were so very sweet and did a wonderful job keeping out room tidy- as well as giving us any extra items --- or towels-- we might need. Grounds-- very nice- well kept. The beach staff was always out there making sure things were clean and presentable for the guest- as you know- they can only do so much- mother nature controls the water and seaweed! Pools were always clean - landscape was immaculate. Food- there is not one place we did not enjoy- some better than others of course - however. The Japanese Hibatchi was very good- as well as El Patio and Portofinos. We did not eat at the French place- as it is adults only. My husband and I shared a night on the beach for dinner which was delicious- Edwin was our waiter- he was great!! The Word Cafe was my kids favorite- they enjoyed all the choices- shout out to Okie Dokie--- best coffee boy! Nightlife and Entertainment- we did not partake in much of either of these so I cannot comment much on there ( we were tired by that time!!). Mostly at night we would sit on the back patio and have beverages- Emilio was certainly the man who made our nights so enjoyable- by the second night there- he already knew our drink of choice and had it waiting for us upon our return from dinner! Every night with our turn down service we were giving a "news sheet" of the activities and happenings for the next day! We did turn in early but sounds was never an issue for us! I could go on and on and review each aspect of likes and dislikes but I think its important for everyone to go to this resort KNOWING you will have a good time. Most of the negative comments I have read- or seen prior to my arrival- are not thinks that would make or break my vacation.

If you’re looking to get waited on hand and foot and get away from it all for a week- this is the place. People like Emilio and Clemente simply couldn’t be nicer and can’t do enough for you. Outstanding staff, clean rooms, clean pool(s), great food... if you’re a getaway all-inclusive person, you won’t be disappointed. The ONLY downside to this trip was not being able to freely tour the island. That’s not a knock against Dreams Palm Beach- it’s simply the Country you’re in. If you think you’re renting a car and going sightseeing on your own on a regular basis- you’re not. Well, you could, but it’s highly advised against. There are of course the typical excursions but in general those “aren’t me” when I’m on vacation. What usually is me is hopping in a car, taking in all the local scenery, finding a local beach or two, buying souvenirs at the touristy open-air shopping huts, checking out at least one dinner (even when all-inclusive) at a native restaurant, etc. I missed being able to do that in the Dominican. I guess if I was asked to make recommendations to DPB, I would say first and foremost get rid of that charade they call a casino (about the size of my 2-1/2 car garage) and open a “real” one maybe in the theater they only seem to use at night for shows. If I’m going to be “stuck” somewhere, give me a few more adult things to do on premises during the day. Again, not a knock on the facility- just a suggestion to make it even more appealing. As a side note, if you’re a smoker, get your cigarettes at DutyFree on arrival. Captive audience equals $10 a pack at their gift shops vs $87 for a 3-carton deal at DutyFree (2.90/pack). Wine is also expensive ($29 for a bottle of Bearinger White Zin with dinner) and not included in the all-inclusive so you may want to buy that at DF as well. However, you can drink mimosas (champagne) for free until you fall over- so all is not lost. Lol But I want to end on a positive note. Even being “stuck” I can not say anything negative about this resort. They made my week away an absolutely wonderful experience and I would easily and highly recommend them to anyone.

We went to Punta Cana for our daughters destination wedding. The resort setting was beautiful and everything was nice. The food in the restaurants was very good and my favorite was the Italian. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We also enjoyed the Seaside Grill and the Wirld Market. Relaxing by the pools, reading my book, and sipping on a fruity drink made my day. The beach view is marvelous. I would book another trip here.
