We had an enjoyable week at this resort. The resort itself is spaced out and it never feels crowded. The grounds are beautiful. We did alot of walking from one place to another. Our room was in building 4 which was in the middle of the property. I would suggest a pool view room if you want to feel a bit more connected to the action. We had a tropical view which was nice and quiet. The quality of the food was great. We tried all of the specialty restaurants and the food was amazing. There was however a very long wait one night for the hibachi restaurant. It's better to get there early. The service was great. The staff works hard to keep everyone happy. The entertainment staff was the best! The nightly shows were very entertaining and somewhat better than other resorts we've been to. The activities for kids, teens and anyone who wants to keep active - the best! There was always something to do day or night. So I mentioned the pros... The cons... the lighting in the bathroom was inefficient. The room that we had felt a bit small for a family of four. Maybe we should have upgraded? It wasn't a big deal since we didn't stay in our room often. The food at the buffet became a bit repetitive after a few days - but we always found something... The beach had seaweed and I must say that the hotel did their best to clean it every morning. There were certain areas in the water without seaweed so we just made the best of it. If you are not a person that seeks perfection it really wasn't a big deal. The vendors at this resort were too pushy to make a sale and we found ourselves actually avoiding eye contact just to be left alone. Management should keep this in check because who wants to be harassed while on vacation? In summary, I would definately recommend this resort to any family with kids and/or teens. I did a lot of research to find a resort that catered to older kids and we were pleased. The grounds are just beautiful, full of wild life such as flamingos, turtles a parrot, etc.

What a joke of a place. Came on my honeymoon and was spoilt by the way they treated us when the hurricane arrived. They put us in a dirty sex shop which was not at all clean. Then when we all got back to the hotel they got "some" persuasive American that was put up in a hotel to explain on video how well dreams coped with them during the storm. Absolute joke they didn't have to put up with the undercooked no hygiene and all flies round the drap food, like the majority of us did. I would stay well away. On our last day they then came up to us at breakfast and tried to get us to give them 5* review on Tripadvisor I don't think so. Very upset and disappointed.

We traveled to Punta Cana 8/27/2017 - 9/3/2017 and stayed at the Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa. The trip was as we expected from reading prior reviews. Resort: Does need some updating in the rooms, but we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the Deluxe Swimout Room In building 3. The ceiling above the sink in the bathroom leaked daily. I believe this was from the humidity and pipes sweating. We simply did not keep our personal toilettries on the sink. Food was very good no matter which restaurant we ate at and there were plenty of choices for everyone's preferences. The staff was always pleasant, friendly and work very hard no matter which position they work in. Santo who worked in the main buffet dining area was awesome and always trying to please us. He even gave us a bottle of champagne to take back to our room with us. Grounds are beautiful and kept very clean. There are vendors who come into the resort twice a week that are annoying and can be aggressive. The shows were good. My favorite was the magic show. Pool and Beach: Pool was very nice and big enough that you could be where the action is or in a quieter area. We did spend most of our time at the beach during the day. Beach leaves alot to be desired. This resort is on the Atlantic Ocean so you do not have the crystal clear blue waters and white sand like you would see on the Caribbean Sea. If you are looking for the clear waters do not stay here. The seaweed at this time of year was terrible and the staff works very had to clear it from the beach but it is a loosing battle. This is not the resorts fault and is due to nature and the resort location. We never had any trouble getting lounge chairs at the pool or beach in the shade. Everyone one we talked to was disappointed with the beach and water. Be sure to ask your travel agent what the differences are between the Atlantic Ocean and Carribean Sea resorts We have stayed at resorts on the Atlantic Ocean and Carribean Sea in Punta Cana so we now know what the differences are and what to expect. While we had a awesome time, the Resort is great but beach not so good. For this reason we will not return to this resort and will choose a resort on the Carribean Sea on future trips.

See below copy of my email to management. On there request but no respond. Thanks for letting me speak to you On my way out of your hotel. I really don't know how to start this email. We love to stay in dreams hotels and dreams sister hotels. We had high expectations from dream hotel. But dream punta Cana came little short of our expectations. I wish I could tell you that we had unforgettable vacation I regret to inform you that we didn't. Me and my family stay at the dream punta Cana hotel from November 23rd Thru September 1. Starts from the room. I book hotel room Preferred member. My reservation say room size 650sq. feet. It was not even half of the size. Room is very run down. Air condition barely work room never reach below 78f. Ants all over. Bathroom sinks clogged. Celling leaked. Mini bar never got refill all my stay. Shower no hot water called and got it fixed. Bathroom grout coming lose. Other dream hotels when I stay we always got evening amenities never got anything all our stay. And when they do turndown service also leave something on the bed. Never happen anything like. At the beach prefers area we was not welcome to stay because we was not in the list as a Preferred member. After that I never when back to that area because I didn't like to be embarrass again. Then we checked with front office. They say because we didn't fill out the guest registration card. Even thoe we did. when we checked in we have to fill it out second time. But still they didn't have our registration card when we checking out of the hotel same people asked us to fill it out again. Preferred club member bar lock not working. Every evening non preferred people using it. At the beach people telling each other to use the preferred bar lock broke and no one checking it if they preferred or not. Every evening Preferred bar full of non preferred members. we was not able to find a seat. At the World cafe every day it's took 10 to 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee. One day we set down to have a breakfast water start dripping from ceiling to our dining table. I look up several area ceiling opened up covered up with the bedsheets. I wish I could recommend to my friends and family dreams Punta Cana. Based on my last visit unfortunately can't.

great place, lovely room with much needed air conditioning. The resort is well spaced out with a meandering pool flowing down to the beach. The pool has two distinctive areas, for those wishing a quiet time the hotel and is best and for those wishing to party the beach end is better. There are plenty of restaurants from the all you can eat world buffet providing a wide choice of cuisine to specialist red aurants serving Asian, grills, Italian, French and seafood. There is a different entertainment programme every evening and the bars serve a with de selection of cocktails, spirits and beer as well as non alcoholic options including tasty cocktails. The staff are very friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough to help you.
