Our family traveled to the Dreams Resort for the first time this year. The entrance to the resort was palatial and very grand in size. From the time we set foot on the property to the time we left to return home, we received exceptional and welcoming treatment. We had adjoining rooms. Our rooms were well maintained and were cleaned thoroughly. The pool was wonderful. Light upbeat music was played continuously. Pool side bar and restaurants served delicious food and drinks. Great activities were held pool side, such as volleyball, Salsa dancing and ZUMBA. Delicious food was served at each of the seven restaurants. A must for all visitors is to experience several hours at the resort's Spa...AMAZING. We travel two times a year and this was the best trip for everyone.

Our family of 4 just returned from a 6 night vacation at Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa. Our family trip included My mother (70’s), daughter (young teenager), and my wife and I. I cannot express just how personal the service was to everyone in our family during this trip. We have travelled to over 10 all-inclusive resorts over the last 15+ years and I honestly can say that the personal attention we received during this vacation was the best service ever! Overall: Great Family Vacation- highly recommend for the value. Pool: The pool is huge and flows throughout the resort from the front lobby to the beach area. It has many available seats with a variety of areas that kids can be kids, young adults are able enjoy themselves in an active/party environment, and more mature adults are able to enjoy serenity and more quiet areas. The entire pool is approximately 3 ft deep and has an abundance of rafts to float on throughout the pool. It is hard to explain in words just how massive this pool really is. Many of the first floor rooms have the ability to walk out their sliding door and get directly into the pool. Some areas even have small lagoon areas that families with several kids could claim as their own area to keep from disrupting other guests. I had read in other reviews this is the largest pool in Punta Cana and I can believe it; it took me almost 15 minutes to meander through the pool from one end to the other. It also never felt too busy, with sufficient wait service offering drinks on a regular basis in the pool area(I also tip). Buildings/Rooms: The resort is older and the rooms are a bit dated. Minor issues were apparent but the rooms are clean and well maintained. We had a light bulb out in our ceiling fan and it was replaced within hours of reporting the issue. Many rooms have jacuzzi’s on the patio, but honestly there is no real privacy on many of these rooms and I would not suggest this option if it were me. Our family had two rooms in Building 8. This was approximately in the middle of the resort and made it conveinent for getting everywhere but the rooms really lacked any breeze from the ocean. I would also add that our 3rd floor end room was larger with a vaulted ceiling that was nice but the mature palm trees blocked most of our view from our deck of the Flamingo/Coi pond area. Our other room was located on the first floor next to a main walk way that did incur some noise from the house keeping and guest constantly passing through. Neither of these were really issues but future travelers might want to avoid these types of rooms if you want a breeze or more quiet time. Weddings: There were approximately two weddings per day , every day were at the resort. Nothing negative here , but be prepared for wedding parties to be present during your stay. Service: I cannot speak highly enough about the concierge staff, entertainment team, and wait staff. I have read other reviews and spoke with some other guests that may of not received the same level of service we did, but from my perspective it was the best service we have ever received at any all-inclusive resort we have stayed at. Ana went beyond excellent service to make our whole family feel very special, Carlos the bartender was excellent, Fanny and jay-Zee always stopped by to visit with us and always invited us to participate in daily activities. My mother really enjoyed the cooking demonstrations and danced the evenings with many of the entertainment group nightly. The people and service provided made this vacation one of the best! A special thanks goes out to all them for a wonderful job. The really work hard to made our vacation great! Activities: If you get bored at this resort it is your own fault because there is something to do from 8:00 AM til as late a you want to go. Personally I thought this resort catered very well to the young teenagers. The Core Zone was excellent and gave kids plenty of things to do in a supervised area without making them feel like someone was looking over their shoulder all the time. Activities were abundant daily around the activity pool area and the beach. There were two foam beach parties that was fun for everyone. We also enjoyed the beach volleyball. Nightly entertainment had a nice variety with mostly dance routines but overall the shows provided good entertainment to break up the evenings. Restaurants: Many options available with no reservations required at any of the restaurants. There were no or minimal waits in each Restaurant we visited. Wait staff was good and food was excellent. Nothing too special but one should not expect the best meals ever at an all-inclusive resort. We ate at the Hibatchi grill, Italian, steakhouse, pizza, buffet, and the beach restaurants. Beach: The beach is Ok. There is a lot of seaweed present along the beach and in the water during our visit. This could be seasonal but it definitely took a little away from the beauty of the beach/ocean area. Plenty of seating at the beach and the ocean/beach is still very nice. No bad undertow in the water but the water is just too sandy to enjoy any snorkeling. The facilities staff works diligently to rake up the seaweed and tries to keep the beach clean but honestly this job is endless. Spa: My mother enjoyed a great massage and spa treatment that she highly recommended. Negative: Local Day (happens once a month) occurred on Saturday. This brings in about 200-250 locals that completely take over the resort activity pool area and beach area. This was not appreciated by our family, nor other guests that I spoke with later in the week. Extras: Ana also arranged for a special dinner for our family one evening. This dinner included grilled Salmon or a Surf & Turf that included filet mignon and lobster tails, live singer, and champagne. This was definitely a highlight of the trip and again made us feel like we received special treatment. In addition to this wonderful family dinner, we were given a certificate for a Romantic dinner for my wife and I on our last night at the resort. This was again a wonderful meal directly on the beach on an elevated platform that let us enjoy the views. My wife and I really enjoyed this special once in lifetime experience and would like to express our gratitude to the staff for making this a memorable vacation.

I was given a room on the 1st floor. As I was taking a shower the wall mount of the shower came loose & it almost fell on my face. Soo unacceptable I complained and asked for another room. Second the staff argued with each and would not go out of their way to get you what you wanted. They were just rude !! The food was the same every day & mediocre. I enjoyed the most was the sugar reef swim up bar!! Johnny B good was the best!!!! He always made us laughed made us danced he was awesome. Angelo was a excellent sever & the dancer were good. You guys will be missed!! Giving this resort a 2 star because all the mishaps!! But a 5 on the entertainment!!

Dreams Punta Cana was such an amazing resort to visit. The resort is a great place for families to stay. The staff was incredibly wonderful. The staff made sure that the guest were always having a great and relaxing time. There was so much to do for people of all ages. The food and drinks were very good. The pool with the lazy river was great. Never had an issue with finding chairs near our rooms. Cannot wait to visit Punta Cana and stay at Dreams Resort and Spa again!
