Just returned from Spring Break trip in the DR. Kids had a BLAST! But overall I wanted to share I was NOT impressed with this resort. Maybe the all inclusive thing just isn't for me?? From the moment we arrived until the moment we left someone was constantly trying to sell us something. (Private dinner, ride on the banana boat, sidewalk art, cheap trinkets, etc) We paid for the Preferred Club, and our room (in building 6) was a great location to stop there for snacks and drinks. But overall the food was blah and unless you walked to the Preferred Club, the drinks were kind of gross. Our room was adequate, but was definitely dated and showed its age. (We had 2 adjoining rooms with a king and 2 doubles for the kids.) I was really looking forward to some Caribbean food - but our only options were Italian, French, Japanese, and a steakhouse?? The only fish option seemed to be Salmon, and I've never heard of Caribbean Salmon!! All the food pretty much tasted the same and nothing was fantastic. I was also frustrated that we packed for the advertised "dinner dress code" (dresses, long pants, closed toed shows for guys), only to find out they changed it to casual so most people were in T-shirts and flip flops? The water sports were fun, but they only had 4 paddle boards, one of them with a broken fin. And only one Hobie Cat, so we had to take turns. My kids are 11, but fortunately they also did not enforce the age limit for the teen area, and they enjoyed hanging out there playing ping pong, pool, archery, and a few video games. There were never more than 5 kids in the place, so maybe they are more strict if busy. I felt comfortable letting them walk back and forth to there from our cabana. The only thing the Preferred Club got you was some better quality drinks and option to use cabanas - but you had to get up early to get one saved! We paid extra for wine with dinner, but even with the upgrade, options were unimpressive if you have any sort of palate at all. And we had $10 coupons which we presented at the time of ordered, but they never applied. Just another hassle to work out at check out. The final straw was when our flight got moved up 2 hours and we didn't realize it until the morning we left (our fault for not checking earlier). But trying to get help changing our transportation and checking out in any sort of expeditious fashion was a nightmare. It was 9:00 and then "preferred desk" didn't open until 10:00. So don't have any emergencies before 10 AM I guess!

March vacation was the best at the Dreams ressort and Spa in Punta Cana. Every thing was perfect. The arrival was so nice with smile of Joel at the reception desk . The site is absolutely wounderfull and so clean. The room was spacious and every thing we needer was in a hand reach. These is 8 restaurant were you could take a very nice meal . There is only one restaurant that is reserved for adult . The children have a very nice kindergarden with private play ground, pool eating space and night activities. Thera are a lot of different activities at night all over the site but this site is so well organise that if you just want to relax , you can find every were a place for tranquillity. Larisa is the quality agent nicely supervise if every thing goes well in your vacation and when you are part of the prefered club Marguerite at the front desk attend to all your need with a big smile and a gentle good morning.... In conclusion if you want a very nice vacation Dreams ressort and spa is a very good choice. I have been coming here for the third time and I will definitively comme back ....Big thanks to all the staff and from Montreal we say «  Bravo et merci «  !!!!!!!

My wife and I have stayed at other resorts in the DR and was always wanting to stay at a "Dreams" but the price was always a lot more than the other resorts...until this year !! Our stay at this resort was awesome...beautiful grounds, pool area and beach ! Comparing this resort to the others...really no difference, comparable in all aspects, so if the price is right, we will be back !! Special shout out to Yohangel in the World Buffet...every morning smiling and shouting out "happy, happy" with great service.......Wander & Joel Polanco at the Barracuda bar for their great service and finally Larissa with customer service...we mentioned to her that my wife liked shaved salmon on sweet bread in the mornings (something she had at another resort) and Larissa made sure she had some the next 2 mornings after we told her...thanks !!!

I stayed at the Dreams Punta Cana Resort on the recommendation of a friend who came here 2 years ago for a wedding. He told me that the fishing, food and resort were all really good. Well this all inclusive vacation exceeded my expectations and I would give it a 5 star. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The food was really good and there was lots of variety to appeal to every taste. The staff were friendly and always helpful. And best of all was the excellent snook fishing on the beach. When the fish were in I was catching fish after fish. I gave the fish to the staff on the beach and they really appreciated it. The Italian restaurant also cooked one up for me for dinner. It was absolutely delicious! I am definitely coming back to this resort in the near future!

1st all-inclusive trip to Punta Cana and it was well worth the expense! Staff is great, very friendly, very helpful, and they want to make sure you are having an “excellente” time! The free activities like kayaking, Catamaran Classes, and intro to Scuba in the hotel pool are awesome! Speaking Spanish does help and makes it slightly easier to get things but the staff speaks English too. I did meet a few Canadians, French, and Dutch tourist too which also love the resort. The walk on the beach was great just be careful at “no man’s” land, area between resorts, because you have local sales folks trying to get you to buy their stuff. I have heard they try to sell you the Upgrade, VIP, or their luxury Resort but haven’t experienced that. :-) Great place to bring your kids too. Big pool and plenty of activities for the kids to do depending on their ages just like the adult activities.
