I don’t know how this place could get an excellent review. We are here now and regret it. Saved for this vacation to celebrate our 20 year anniversary and son’s graduation from college. We were looking so forward to this and couldn’t be more disappointed. Been at the resort since noon, greeted with nothing but sales pitch, yet to be offered a cold drink, food is boring at best, very little a/c in room. If you have plans to come here I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic week at Dreams Punta Cana. From the second we arrived we were treated like family by the staff. The delightful woman checking us in(sadly I don't remember her name because she was very friendly and helpful) was kind enough to give us an upgrade to a suite room, which was wonderful! The entertainment staff was fantastic, Franklin and Sandy were always fun and kind. Fanny was beyond incredible, always helpful and trying to find ways to make out stay more incredible, helping us with dinners and fun upgrades to our stay. Meiry from the concierge staff was always tracking us down to make sure we were having the best vacation possible, and she was always successful in making our stay better! Delvin was not only kind, friendly and made dinner incredible, I would go as far as to say he is the best waiter we have ever had at any restaurant, anywhere, in my entire life. Mayreni, at the pool, was always super fast to bring us drinks with a smile and kindness. Leonardo was our waiter at our dinner on the beach, and was fantastic too! Our housekeeper, Ines was great! I really can't say enough about the staff, they all went way out of their way the entire time we were there! The food was all very good, but our favorite restaurant was the Trattoria, which I wish we had discovered the first day we were there, instead of near the end, because it has the best food in the entire resort. The ice cream man going around the resort during the day was delightful, and a great touch! We'll definitely be back! Thank you again to Delvin, Sandy, Franklin, Fanny, Meriy, Genesis, Ines, Leonardo and the rest of the staff!

We have just come home from our 13th visit to Dreams Punta Cana. We were there for 2 weeks to celebrate David's 70th birthday. We were treated to a wonderful birthday dinner and party at La Trattoria hosted by Delvin the restaurant manager. The evening was organized by our Preferred Club concierge Arecelis del Rosario with many others helping out, including PC concierges Elizabeth, Jean Carlos and Zuly, Jilbert PC bartender, and highlighted by a delicious lobster dinner and a gift of Brugal Siglo de Oro from Edwin Saladin, Food and Beverage Manager. As others have stated the grounds at Dreams are immaculate, the food is outstanding, the service fast and the employees amazingly friendly. In addition to the above mentioned some others we need to specifically mention: Emila, our wonderful maid in building 1; Junior, Maria and Marcia, bartenders at the Lobby Bar; Eusebio, Santos and Adrian, bartenders and the Preferred Club; Willy, beach consierge; Amouri, Sanchez and Guermo waiters at Oceana; Edry, waiter at Seaside Grill; Margarita and Andrea, hostesses at Oceana; Richard, Director of Operations; Wenny Sanchez, e-consierge; Jean Carlos Arredondo, Chief Concierge; Everrett Medina, Rooms Manager; David Barreiro, Resident Manager; and last but certainly not least, the new General Manager of Dreams Senor Jorge Puente. Thank you and we'll see you all next year for trip number 14!

This is my second review of this resort. We were there last year at the same time and just returned home on December 16th. The grounds are beautiful and the food was excellent so we decided to go again since we were going with family who have never been to Punta Cana. It was a safe bet. I will be kind to the resort and start off with the good: *Beautiful lush manicured grounds that make you feel you are in paradise. *Excellent quality and variety of food throughout the resort. We especially enjoyed the Himitzu, Portifino and Oceana restaurants. The buffet is always great. The Gyros on the beach are delicious and the Harry Potter Cafe (that's what we call it because it is located under the stairs) is awesome for cappuccinos and baked goods. *The king bed was comfortable and the AC was nice and cold in our room. We had no issues with our room key cards. The housekeeping staff made up our room beautifully twice a day. *Check in and check out was fast and painless. As a returning guest we were given a very nice room on the floor and in the building we wanted. They sent champagne and rum to our room as well. *The alcohol quality has improved from last year. The lobby bar is the best to get premium drinks as requested. I had no problem getting decent rum at the Manitee beach bar and the drinks were well mixed. The swing pool bar also gave me a couple gin and tonics with Gibson's gin. Obviously you have to specify what you want or they will make your drink with the cheap stuff which is understandable. *The staff are always pleasant and work very hard to keep you happy throughout the resort. Now for the Bad: *The resort is tired and in need of updating and maintenance. Lots of things are in need of repair. For example the door knob to the main beach bar washroom was loose and almost falling off for the entire week and the wear on the door looks like it has been like that for a year. I saw a wood trellis over a preferred club sun bed come crashing down injuring 2 guests. The past hurricane might have contributed to that, but routine maintenance is being ignored. *The fake booze! My personal pet peeve. Last year they put this god awful cheep whiskey in the Jack Daniels bottle and I complained. This year I was at the Veranda Bar and asked for Evan Williams Bourbon. They poured 2 from the bottle and it was the same foul tasting garbage. Not even close to bourbon. I brought it up to the front desk and they sent me to the concierge who asked me to write out a complaint and she made a phone call to somebody in Spanish. One night later I go back to the Veranda and order the same drink. Again the same garbage. I went up to the same concierge and gave her a piece of my mind. Management is obviously pressuring the bar staff to conserve the premium booze. I get that, but refilling premium booze bottles with cheap alcohol is a fraud and it insults your guests. Time to move on to another resort or destination. I will miss the food and the lovely grounds the most.

We were in Dreams Punta Cana last week. As diamond Members of Unlimited vacation club. From initial booking to our stay this is by no means an elite vacation club or destination. The booking agents are unfamiliar with the resorts. Upon arrival there is a tedious checking in process despite being preferred check in. The rooms in the adult only section are old and worn our, none have ocean views. Their is no management help to try and resolve these issues. Expecting a significant room upgrade, we were told none were available, despite the assurances of UVC. The food is mediocre and despite the smiles, service is pathetic. In fact, the best food is in the world cafe which is a buffet. The pools are all very nice the beach is also quite pleasant. After voicing our concerns we were advised that this resort caters to families and kids and the quality is understood to be average at best. adults can find better elsewhere
