Excellence Punta Cana

We are currently here, on our first night, on our honeymoon. We booked ten nights in an excellence club room which provides for free airport transfer. We stood outside for 30 minutes waiting for our ride, the two couples that came after us both got their transportation 10 minutes before we did. I completed the pre-check-in which was a complete waste of time. It saved zero minutes and they made us do the whole song and dance at check-in, which also took another 30 minutes. The “excellence club” has a few chairs, but nothing else. So I guess if you want to spend your vacation sitting in a chair, it’s awesome! Majestic elegance offered food and a bar while you waited, not here. I booked directly with the resort and they gave us the worst excellence club room in the resort. We have a gorgeous view of mechanical equipment. Such a beautiful paradise. The room is over 75 degrees after running the ac for the last 4 hours, it’s going to be extremely difficult to sleep here. The “jacuzzi tub” trickles out water, expect a one hour wait for the water to fill, at which point the water is cold. I am a “excellence club member” and our welcome gift was four pieces of bruised warm fruit. Yum. The sparkling wine was about 80 degrees sitting in a tub of warm water. The phone didn’t work. There are almost zero drawers to put your clothes and enough hangers for one person but not two. The sports bar was not good. Ordered the brisket fondue. It isn’t brisket it’s a weird pot roast type meat. It was supposed to come with curly fries, it didn’t. We ordered a brownie and received some weird gelatinous apple jello type of thing. Despite having an excellence club room we had to wait 45 minutes for a table at the grill. I cannot imagine coming here again, the majestic elegance is 10x as nice with much better food, a nicer room with ac that actually worked and a jacuzzi that actually filled up. There was a room with “anniversary” emblazoned upon it, not a thing for us being on our honeymoon. Save your money and go somewhere else, no clue how this place has such solid ratings.

The staff are amazing and friendly. They’re always willing to help and make the experience great. The food is not always the best, but there are restaurants that are amazing. The grill and Chez Isabelle are the best restaurants. This resort is great for relaxing and for being all inclusive.

My husband and I chose this resort to stay at for our honeymoon. It is the nicest resort we have ever been to! The staff were absolutely amazing and made our experience the best! Everything was a 100/10!! Highly recommend!

Overall a very nice stay for our honeymoon. Only issue we had was room service completely forgot about our food one day then the next day we’re over an hour later than they said they were going to be. We had to call down to remind them to bring it the second time. Other then that the resort was beautiful the staff were amazing and we will definitely be back!

I visited this hotel for my birthday and I had an amazing time. My favorite place was The Excellence Club and the two people who made that possible were Ricardo and Carlos. Their attention to detail and overall service was superb. There was not one drink I did not like. Another favorite of mine was at the Martini Bar with Wadolyn. She also had made my birthday trip one to remember!
