Excellence Punta Cana

This is our 3rd excellence property we have visited. All excellence properties are worth visiting but I would rate this the 3rd favorite. We had some issues with the car service that excellence uses. Check in was a bit of a hotmess in the excellence lounge. Our room didn’t have ac that worked properly. They gave us a dehumidifier but that just made the room hotter because the machine put off heat. They finally came our next to last day and got it working. It was hot in most of the restaurants! I get that we are in Dominican and we are going to have heat and humidity but we were disappointed that there was no where we could cool down between the heat in our room and the restaurants. For our anniversary they decorated the room nicely with roses, chocolate covered strawberries and drew a bath but accidentally left the tub running and we found our room flooded when we returned. The pool and food/ bar service made up for the shortcomings in other areas. Overall it was a great trip but probably won’t be returning to this excellence property.

We just left Excellence Punta Cana and are already to go back. It was a beautiful resort and the staff was so amazing during our stay. We definitely recommend going club side to get the good liquor and club pool access.

The first few days were wonderful at the Excellence Pool , but come Saturday, it got crazy.The biggest problem was that the pool was closed for construction, which is fine but MANY guest were coming down to the Excellence club pool. Problem was there was only 6 of them but they were so loud and cursing. The more they drank the worse they got. They did get kicked out but came back two days later and were there everyday. They were even using the cabanas on the beach, Their rooms were up past the pool bar pool., so they never should have been allowed to come back. Then a huge wedding party that some of them were staying at the fountain pool rooms decided after their first day came over to the other Excellence pool ,which would be fine but they were worse. Maybe because there were 15 plus people. They were very loud too and just got louder the more they drank and did shots. They were even smoking cigars in the pool. The other group of six who were not supposed to be their, snuck back in and they started smoking cigarets in the pool leaving the ashes fall into pool. After three hours of this, Even after one guest went to the Excellence club desk to complain, we waited but nothing was done. We packed up and went to the fountain pool. Funny thing is there were three other couples that did the same thing and were disgusted how they were allowed to behave like that. This was our second time staying here. We decided to come back after we had a fantastic stay in 2024 with our children. This time was nothing like the last time. We stayed at three different Excellence Resorts and they were also, nothing like this experience. We were very disappointed with this visit. On the plus side the spa and sports bar were exceptional. The service was top notch!!

This resort was above expectation. The main course meals were excellent. If I was to make any changes, My wife and I came with a group of six. Our whole group did not care for any of the appetizers At the magna restaurant. As far as the main course was excellent! Thank you again for everything. We would like to return in the future, depending on what type of discounts we receive.

What a relaxing, wonderful experience! This was our first all-inclusive experience and it exceeded our expectations!! From the staff to the food to the cleanliness — literally everyone at the resort seemed so happy to be there. There was so many food options! The view, swimming pool, hot tub, gym, pickle ball courts, archery, all so fantastic!! We will def be back!!
