Excellence Punta Cana

Excellence Punta Cana is a nice resort, but it did not live up to the high expectations set by its reputation. While the staff is generally friendly, I felt that the service and overall experience fell short in several important areas. The food was average at best. Portions in the restaurants are quite small, and without a proper buffet option for lunch and dinner, dining often became frustrating. We lost too much time waiting for food or deciding where to go, and the quality was not consistent across the restaurants. For a resort of this level, I expected much better. The rooms are spacious, but the design is inconvenient. The shower directly separates the bedroom from the sink, which compromises privacy and feels poorly thought out. The showers also need better maintenance, as they don’t match the standards of a luxury property. What was most concerning, however, was that several members of our group — about three or four rooms — had hotel employees enter without knocking. This is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one that advertises itself as high-end. The beach and atmosphere are pleasant, but those positives do not outweigh the issues we experienced. Overall, while the resort has potential, I would not recommend it without significant improvements to the food, room design, and staff training regarding guest privacy.

My experience has been incredible. Still here for a friends 50th (29th) and while it’s slow season and sleepy at the resort a bit the staff is incredible. The bartenders are awesome but my personal faves are now on their company vacation :). Misael “joy boy” is AWESOME. He would make anybody feel comfortable whether a group or solo! Big kudos to him. The resort rocks.

Hands down the best staff at any all inclusive! So many people made our stay unforgettable from the guys that greeted us at the entrance with champagne to Misael in activities to Luis and Gabriela in food services! Thanks for making our girls trip to celebrate a 50th bday unforgettable! We were able to find something to eat or do on property the whole time!

Had an amazing time at this resort with my fam! The staff were super friendly, the food was great, and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from each day (since there’s no buffet for lunch or dinner — everything is à la carte). The hibachi and the grill were my favorites! The beach wasn’t exactly what I expected, but it definitely didn’t disappoint. Rooms were clean and super comfortable. Honestly, one of the best all-inclusive experiences we’ve had in Punta Cana. Can’t wait to come back! Special shoutout to the tennis coach and the Excellence Club staff — you guys really made us feel at home. 🙌

This is the most terrible resort that the excellence has to offer. My garbage was not emptied during my whole trip. I had to keep begging for my room to be serviced. Room service was the absolute worst along with house keeping. The customer service also was horrible along with the food. I would not come back here and I have stayed at other excellence resorts. The only good side was the bartender Vidal. He mixed the drinks very well and was friendly. The concierge man Yariel I believe his name was he was also very nice. Other than that it was beyond horrible especially for the amount of money spent.
