Excellence Punta Cana

Ten out of ten. Excellent time at Excellence from the moment we arrived. We instantly felt welcomed and right at home. The level of details to customer service was above our expectations.

We stayed 11 nights and had an amazing experience at this resort. From the moment we arrived we were so pleased with the service and the overall experience! The grounds are gorgeous and very well manicured and maintained. The staff was so kind, welcoming and attentive to service. We’d like to mention a few that stood out during our stay (Nayeli, Soriano and Hendrix at Palms, Francis and Ricardo at Magna bar, Ronnie who served us at a few restaurants, Felix “El Gato” at Cielo as well as Joan who was the first friendly face we met when we arrived.) We enjoyed the food and drinks. Our favourites: Breakfast at Magna!! Delicious breakfast and loved loved the view! Lunch: Las Olas was great and Oregano (amazing pizza!) Dinner: We tried all the restaurants during our stay (except Organo) and enjoyed them all, however our favorites were definitely Magna, Agave, Chez Isabelle and Spice (à la carte, we didn’t try the hibachi unfortunately). Our room was very clean and we appreciated the special touches of the turn down service. I do feel that the room was in need of some minor update and refreshed paint. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return to Excellence Punta Cana!

I recently returned from an 8 night stay March 26-April 3. I have been coming to this hotel for 18 years! missed a few years and in the recent years have visited sometimes twice a year. This resort is fantastic but it is really the people who make it outstanding! Many of whom I've had the pleasure of seeing for many years now. I recently started to visit for annual girl's trips - introducing others to just how excellent the hotel and service is. The service as always this trip was incredible from the moment we arrived - a huge shout out to the following - Pedro upon arriving and departing :( , Annabel in the Excellence Club for her big smiles and welcome greetings, Felix and Osvaldo at Cielo bar, Melvin at Agave. We enjoyed the Magna restaurant several times and a big thanks to Bautista, Gabriela, Jensel, Manuauri, Orlando and Jose Luis for the great service each time we came in. Francis and Hector for mixing up, hands down the best drinks in the Excellence Club bar! We stay in the master suite rooms - usually ground level for ease of access. Francisco, the gardener is fantastic, always goes out of his way to welcome us and drop by to say hello! Thank you to all of you for making another trip so great! We look forward to returning next year with 2 more friends! For reference, I have stayed at all the excellence properties with the exception of Coral PM and this one continues to be my favorite due to the staff. Decent resort, facilities are becoming dated. Food was average, nothing spectacular. Service was great; staff are all excellent!
