Excellence Punta Cana

Our stay was at Excellence Punta Cana. The staff was amazing and the service truly outstanding. Wonderful food and entertainment. Beautiful and Spotless resort. My friends, family and I will definitely stay again and recommend to everyone. Linda E

Positive-General Manager Aaron Lozano was very nice and he said he would have helped us during our stay but he was in Spain and we met on the last full day of our trip. The oceanfront pool is nice and big. Negative-Don't go during the summer because the seaweed is terrible and you cannot swim in the ocean. At Check in, I was asked several questions that I don't think had anything to do with my stay. What is my favorite color, favorite music, etc. This made me skeptical like they were fishing to hack my password accounts. On day 2, I received a call on my cell phone from the front desk manager asking why I rated my check in process poorly and she was combative instead of looking for a solution. The room service breakfast food was terrible. On day 3, we went to Las Olas and everyone around us got their food before us and they just sell appetizers there. Also, our water glasses were chipped around the edge. We went to the pool and had a good rest of our day and went up to our room and there were 3 maintenance guys in there to our surprise because we had not complained about anything not working. They were changing out the faucets for no reason. WE were livid because it was an invasion of our privacy during our anniversary vacation. The front desk manager did nothing to make our stay better. The guest relations manager Juan did offer us a private dinner and apologize for the incident. Finally on our last day, it came a downpour and water entered the bathroom from the window and flooded the floor. Our romantic dinner on the beach was also canceled. Then on the day of checkout I get a call at 9am (when we are sleeping) to the room from housekeeping saying that we needed to turn off the do not disturb button because she needed to come in and do inventory. Ridiculous. I said absolutely not! Also, keep in mind there is no shopping nearby --actually there is nothing but a highway all the way to the airport.

Our 10-day honeymoon at Excellence Punta Cana was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived until the moment we sadly had to leave, we were blown away by the beautiful resort, incredible service, and, most of all, the people who made our stay so special. As we made our way into the resort, we received such a warm welcome from Joan at the gate. We were then greeted by the amazing bellhop, Santos, who quickly became someone we were always excited to see whenever we crossed paths throughout our stay. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ronny, another wonderful bellhop who was always so friendly and helpful. Check-in at the Excellence Club was seamless, and Cristina and the entire Excellence Club Concierge team were absolutely wonderful. They were always so helpful with anything we needed throughout our stay and made us feel so well taken care of. One of our favorite places to spend time was Prelude Bar, where we had so many laughs and great memories with Kelvin, Joan Soto, Wander, and Basilio. They were always so much fun and made every visit something to look forward to! Our favorite pool was the Excellence Waterfall Pool, and Yinaury from Cielo Bar was amazing! She was so friendly and made our time at the pool even more enjoyable. The beach dinner was one of the most romantic experiences of our honeymoon, and our waiter, Rafael, was fantastic. It was such a special evening, and the service made it even more memorable. We truly loved ALL of the staff at Excellence Punta Cana, but there are a few more people we have to give a special shout-out to. Jesus from The Lobster House went above and beyond for us. My husband doesn't eat seafood, and Jesus went out of his way to get him a different dinner so that I could enjoy my meal there. That small gesture meant so much to us! A special thank you as well to Soloman from The Grill, Ronny from Oregano, Magna, and Edward from Los Olas. Every one of them made our dining experiences so enjoyable and memorable. Whenever we were outside at night, we were always happy to see Alexandra's smiling face! We also loved Hector from the Martini Bar, who was always wonderful to see. We wish we could remember the name of the other bartender who was usually there with him because he was fantastic as well! One of the highlights of our stay was our couples massage, and Natalie and Yocasta were incredible! They made the experience so relaxing and special, and we left feeling completely refreshed. Our room was always kept spotless, and the turn-down service was amazing. A huge thank you to our wonderful housekeeper, Kenia, for taking such great care of our room throughout our stay. And then came the hardest part—leaving! We were so sad that our honeymoon was coming to an end. Before our transfer arrived, we wanted to grab some lunch, and as we passed the main lobby desk, we asked Ramon if he could check us out there instead of going back over to the Excellence Club Concierge. Without hesitation, he was happy to help us. It was such a simple gesture, but it was one more example of the incredible service we experienced throughout our entire stay. What made Excellence Punta Cana so special wasn't just the beautiful resort or the incredible amenities—it was the people. Every interaction, every smile, every conversation, and every little extra effort made us feel welcomed, appreciated, and genuinely cared for. We came for our honeymoon and left with so many wonderful memories and so many people we will never forget. We cannot thank the entire Excellence Punta Cana team enough for making our 10-day honeymoon absolutely unforgettable. We already miss it and would love to come back someday!

This is the best resort I have ever stayed at. The staff will try their best to do anything they can to make you happy, and are always willing to help. Also, the food here is very good. So are the drinks. The rooms and the facilities are modern and clean as well.

Honestly this was other best vacation I have ever been on. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. It was a great time to just relax and enjoy. We enjoyed lounging at the beach. The staff would frequently stop by and check on us to ensure we were taken care of. Our favorite part was hands down our own private pool. I am pretty sure we spent more time in our own pool than anywhere else. Our day would wind down by swimming, it would start up by swimming. In the end, we want to make this an annual visit because we enjoyed it so much.
