Excellence Punta Cana

Overall our stay was incredible. The location / staff / selection of bars and restaurants was all great but rooms aren’t 5 star. Rooms show age of hotel but outdoor areas are impeccable.

We had another wonderful stay at Excellence Punta Cana and once again everything was excellent from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, relaxing, and very well maintained. The staff was always friendly and attentive, the food was very good, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a peaceful vacation. This has truly become one of our favorite places to vacation, and we are already looking forward to coming back again next year. Highly recommended!

Everything was wonderful! The grounds are well kept, they work around the clock to make sure your stay is superb. The staff 10/10, really to make every desire a possibility. We thought the food was great but we love dominican food and had good experiences at the restaurants. We looked to see what were people’s favorites and were not disappointed. Portions are small so we often ordered 3-4 appetizers and entrees. I know people go to MAGNA for the steak BUT dont sleep on the grouper! It was wonderfully seasoned. We also loved the duck and lamb at Chez Isabel. Please show your appreciation to the staff. Tips are not required but definitely appreciated! They work so hard. Most of them work 12 days straight and are off 3 days. Stand outs were LUIS at breakfast and The Grill as well as CARMEN and ALTAGRACIA in the evenings by the main stage. We stayed in a Swim Out Club Jr Suite in building 2 and it was great! The top part of the cascading pool was a bit deep for me (5’1”) but it was more secluded and the water was warmer, which I really liked. I would definitely recommend this resort to others. We really enjoyed our stay.

The resort is beautiful and clean and food was great! However 2nd day into our trip our ac was not working in our room. Had 2 workers come to our rooms multiple times helping fix it and my engagement ring was stolen. Resort did nothing to help but tell us an investigation would be done and took them 5 days to then turn it around on us and say I lost it outside by the pool, when the ring was taken off in the room and didn’t leave after. But when we were delivered a dehumidifier it was magically gone. Staff did nothing for us regarding this inconvenience and only gave us an email and business card of the manager and told us to email when we got home. Not sure we’d go back but other than that big inconvenience Eduardo, Wander and Kendry did make the rest of the trip great and made sure we had a good time despite this ruining our trip.
