Excellence Punta Cana

This was our first all inclusive resort experience and we had an amazing time! The stand out food and drink locations were The Grill, Chez Isabel, and the Blue swim-up bar. The Blue bar had the best blenders in the resort which guaranteed a smooth frozen delight every time. Room service was timely, but the food was hit or miss. Pro-tip don't order anything through room service that would be exotic for the locale (the hummus was... interesting). Similarly, our least favorite restaurant was Spice. The service was the slowest there and they use the same rice for sushi as they use for any other rice on the property. If you've had good sushi before, give the resort sushi a miss. Overall, the resort is incredible, plenty of space at the pool and the beach without feeling crowded, you never have to wait long for a drink, and most employees seem like they were having as good a time as the vacationers were. We will certainly be coming back to Excellence Punta Cana.

My wife and I came to Excellence Punta Cana for our honeymoon. The resort was beautiful and the staff was amazing. There are plenty of events to take part in at the resort and also excursions you can pay extra for. We did snorkeling, horseback riding, dune buggies, and zip lining which were fun experiences. Alberto at the excursion desk was great. We did a candle lit dinner by the beach and the staff romantically decorated our room. Rafael was our waiter and did a fantastic job. The beach was beautiful. The food was great overall. Miguel was very courteous during our check-out. Whether you are looking for a quick getaway or a romantic stay, Excellence Punta Cana will not disappoint. Great resort!

Juan Carlos was an amazing person who gladly helped us daily on the beach. Every day he had our cabanas set up, and even decorated my cabana bed with a personal birthday message. His personality was like the beautiful sunshine.

Great location, great value. Food was OK or an al-inclusive. They need to sort out their nighttime entertainment venue better.

This was our first visit to Excellence Punta Cana, and we booked the Excellence Master Suite. Our suite was conveniently located near the Excellence Club pool, spa, and restaurant. From the very first day, we met Reizon, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. On Saturday (first day) he even walked us all the way to Olas for lunch. From then on, he took care of us daily—securing beach chairs, arranging a cabana for a day (well worth the booking fee), and ensuring we felt truly valued. Thanks to him, we found the Excellence Club upgrade worth every penny. The food overall was hit-or-miss, though we had two standout evenings. At Oregano, Yori made sure we received lobster even though it wasn’t on the menu—a thoughtful gesture that completely changed my husband’s impression of the dining experience. Another highlight was The Grill, where we recommend ordering three different steaks to find the one that truly shines. Ingrid, the host at Olas, was incredibly friendly and kind, making us feel welcome every time. We ended up having lunch there regularly because of her warmth. Leidy also stood out—helping us late one night with pillows, and greeting us the next morning at the Excellence Club desk with a smile while assisting with a late checkout request. Thank you to the staff who truly make our stay.
