Excellence Punta Cana

Everything was amazing. Only bad thing worth mentioning was humidity in our room was crazy high. There was a crew cleaning and painting everywhere you went, the entire resort was beautiful and very well kept. I will definitely look into where their other resorts are located. Money well spent.

This was our first stay at an Excellence resort and WOW, what a wonderful experience. Everything from the room to the staff, food, bars, and overall experience was top notch. We loved the Excellence Club offerings and can't wait to come back. We were blown away with the staff and how attentive they were to assist us with pretty much anything we could have asked for. From the moment we arrived, check in was smooth and it was truly a restful vacation experience.

OMG this place is almost comically inept. The staff is the nicest best people you will ever meet, the facilities are outstanding, the management is the most inept you could imagine. My $1,000 a day room our private pool is half full, the food is about the worst I've ever eaten. For god sake we finally gave up on all the other food and ordered hamburgers and they were terrible. When I told the waiter they weren't as good as McDonalds they said those were really good hamburgers. We were in the Excellence club and could never even get a seat at the beach in the "excellence section" because we never got there before 8:30. The "rack of lamb" isn't a rack it is two lamb chops that seem to be already eaten and are two over cooked bites. Bean counters must have screwed this up because it could be spectacular. For God's sake at least buy $3.00 hamburger.

Jonathan was a welcoming gentleman who made our stay that much more beautiful upon arrival and departure! Hendrix at the club pool was also exceptional in friendliness and service!

Beautiful resort, amazing staff, food quality could be improved. Main main criticism is that the resort has to work on the amount of beach chairs. The first two days, we couldn’t find a chair until the afternoon. We realized that people would wake up at 6:30-7:00am to leave their towel in the morning and reserve their chair. It becomes a weird game of who wakes up the earliest to reserve a seat. If your idea of vacation is waking up at 6am to ensure a restul day, I would think twice before coming here. The resort should have enough chairs for everyone staying at the property or not allow people to reserve seats. It seems like an easy solution.
