Excellence Punta Cana

Just returned from another wonderful trip with family. I had been a bit critical in my last review in April (since deleted) about the consistency of food and some other things, but I really was impressed at the preparation and presentation of meals during this trip. I wasn’t prepared to enjoy it so much and could tell they have made a genuine effort to elevate the dining experience. There were many seafood options along with beach side ceviche one day so my experience doesn’t match other’s reviews. The staff is still wonderful and hotel perfectly maintained. The AC in the room was great (building 14). It was low occupancy so very easy to find chairs and no waits at restaurants. The general manager was always walking the grounds and very kind to my parents taking their suggestions. Sol bar staff- were terrific and had a surprise birthday cake for us one day. Some small suggestions: better blackout curtains especially rooms facing the sunrise, and as always bring back poolside pizza :). I look forward to returning with friends!

there was wet paint all day during our whole stay the smell gave us a headache, The breakfast buffet was okay, so many things not labeled. House keeping doesnt speak any english so very hard to communicate when they come knocking on your door.

This was our second time visiting Excellence Punta Cana. Our stay started rocky with not having hot water which resulted in us changing rooms 3 times. This put a damper on our trip because we were traveling all day. After we were finally settled in our room, the Excellent Club graceously gifted us with a free romantic dinner on the beach, which we enjoyed. One con on this trip was the DJ, he seemed to play the same music that catered to one demographic. The DJ played every night with only 3-5 people on the dance floor. We were really looking forward to dancing, so it took away from our trip. House keeping was questionable because we had a big brown stain on our blanket and 10 dollars missing from my purse. As always, the property was clean, the food was better than our first visit, friendly staff, and it was relaxing.

We spent most of our time at the beach and pool…. Reison was the best at the beach getting you set up and ready to relax and enjoy your time with friends.!!!
