Excellence Punta Cana

I had a phenomenal experience here at excellence especially with ; Miguel & Maria. Incredible people, incredible customer service, incredible. Weren’t lying when they said it was EXCELLENCE here!

Miguel was amazing, he danced with us, made us laugh and was always willing to help!!! He encouraged us to try different things which is what a true vacation experience is about! Hope he is still here when I return!

Mr. Miguel and the staff were great. The stay was peaceful and relaxing. The food was good and the drinks were great. Our room was always clean and taken care of. I would recommend coming to this resort! Hopefully will be able to come back in the future.

We spent two weeks as Excellence Punta Cana over the Thanksgiving holiday. The setting was wonderful, the service generally very good, the pools seemed to be well maintained as are all the facilities. However, the food in general was horrible! We both got very sick from what we think was some sort of food poisoning and two weeks after our return from vacation we are still very ill. In late September through early October we stayed at the Excellence Riviera Resort in Cancun and really enjoyed the food as well as the location. After that positive experience we decided we to try the Punta Cana location as it seemed to offer more daily activities at a better price. Boy was it not worth the savings. We are not big drinkers and so we are certain the sickness we are now still dealing with did not come from that. The food in general just always tasted “off” like it wasn’t of good quality or the meats had sat around too long without proper refrigeration? We had loved the Magna restaurant in Cancun, but had a terrible experiences with both breakfast and dinner in Punta Cana! It certainly wasn’t worth the price for club level. If we don’t get over whatever is still wreaking havoc with our stomachs and intestines two weeks after returning home we’ll make appointments to see an infectious disease specialist. We have both had trips to Urgent care facilities and been prescribed antibiotics, but so far it hasn’t been effective in making the nausea, diarrhea, and extreme fatigue resolve. We would NEVER return to this resort. Really think twice before visiting here. The positive reviews regarding the “cuisine” are very misleading!
