Excellence Punta Cana

Great location, great value. Food was OK or an al-inclusive. They need to sort out their nighttime entertainment venue better.

This was our first visit to Excellence Punta Cana, and we booked the Excellence Master Suite. Our suite was conveniently located near the Excellence Club pool, spa, and restaurant. From the very first day, we met Reizon, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. On Saturday (first day) he even walked us all the way to Olas for lunch. From then on, he took care of us daily—securing beach chairs, arranging a cabana for a day (well worth the booking fee), and ensuring we felt truly valued. Thanks to him, we found the Excellence Club upgrade worth every penny. The food overall was hit-or-miss, though we had two standout evenings. At Oregano, Yori made sure we received lobster even though it wasn’t on the menu—a thoughtful gesture that completely changed my husband’s impression of the dining experience. Another highlight was The Grill, where we recommend ordering three different steaks to find the one that truly shines. Ingrid, the host at Olas, was incredibly friendly and kind, making us feel welcome every time. We ended up having lunch there regularly because of her warmth. Leidy also stood out—helping us late one night with pillows, and greeting us the next morning at the Excellence Club desk with a smile while assisting with a late checkout request. Thank you to the staff who truly make our stay.

I visited Excellence Punta Cana for my 50th birthday. I did note this in the reservation but did not receive any bday door sash or cake for my birthday. Upon check in I was asked what my favorite flavor was but I am not sure why as I didn't receive anything. If you are celebrating something, you may want to be sure you note this to the check in desk upon arrival to see if they offer anything special. I didn't realize you had to make reservations for hibachi ahead of time so we were unable to take advantage of that since slots were already taken when we arrived for the days that we were there. The food was average- some standout restaurants like lobster house and magna, otherwise the food was mediocre.

Excellent stay, staff was wonderful. No real complaints, would recommend if looking for relaxation. Food and drinks, good. Nice and clean resort.

Very relaxing. Staff was very helpful. Trip was exactly what I hoped for. Shuttle service with Seasons was easy and hassle free.
