Excellence Punta Cana

Excellence continues to wow. The grounds are impeccably groomed. The improvements to the boardwalk along the beach and the bridges over the pool are most welcome. The food has improved over the 15 years we have been going there. Chez Isabelle revamped its menu adding some excellent duck, lamb and quiche. Agave has freshly cooked everything. Spice has very good pan Asian but I wish they would bring back dumplings and pad Thai. The Grill has a scaled down menu which works to its ad vantage. The bartenders at what was once Stars Bar (now Prelude perhaps) are all wonderful , actually remembering what you drink!! The stars of the stay are the employees who are beyond magnificent. They all possess the best qualities: they are efficient, courteous, responsible, amiable, accommodating, joyful, gregarious if you wish to converse and cordial without being overbearing. The employees I wish to mention who possess all these positives are: Lederkis, Rafael, Santa, Luis H., Chary, Gabriella, Genesis, Alexandra, Esmerlyn, Gisely and Ingrid. A joy to be with them daily. And know that the persons responsible for maintaining room 6007 were marvelous. Everything clean, towels aplenty and those elegant touches of flowers and towel sculptures . Just wonderful. One suggestion. The air conditioning in our room functioned well however the amount of humidity was overwhelming. Clothing and paper absorbed Thé high humidity index and if we washed out some things they just wouldn’t dry. If this one negative could be rectified that would be terrific. Excellence Punta Cana has it all for a marvelous luxury escape. Kudos to the entire staff and the superb employees they hire. May it continue!

The customer service was spectacular; the employees were always very attentive. I recommend this place 100%. Olga, Luis Hernandez, Luis Rodriguez, Nelson, Ronmier, and Elias were all very professional and friendly.

Christian took wonderful care of us all week. He has outstanding customer service skills and is someone we looked forward to seeing every day! Excellence is lucky to have him as a part of their team, and he is a big reason why we enjoyed our stay so much and why we look forward to coming back.

A lovely location. Beautiful to go even in the winter. We had a couple overcast days and a couple sunny days, but nice temps between 74-85 the whole time. Reminded us of summer in the northern US haha! Great staff including Jessica, Manauri, Raudy, Reison (who helped us with the most beautiful private birthday beach cabana), Yulia, Ariel, Chary, Hector, and Anabel. Nice big clean room and the pools were stunning, we had a poolside suite but didn't have any issues with noise. We were able to sleep late every day. Loved going in the ocean to bodysurf as well. Favorite restaurants were Magna and Agave. Best bar is definitely the Excellence Club Lounge. The upgrade to Excellence Club is worth it. Cute little shops too! The shops on property are cheaper than the shops off property but again all staff is kind and the prices are fair. We mostly relaxed around the resort and went to bed early, but there are plenty of activities and nighttime entertainment if you're up for it. Definitely bring more cash to tip than we did because the service is that great and the people are that nice.

Juan Carlos did a great job with making sure our beach chairs were ready and setup for us every morning. That was so nice as we didn't have to get up early in the mornings. Thank you for your attention.
