Had a great girls trip! We took advantage of the club perks. The staff was friendly & very attentive. The food & drinks great!! The beach had some seaweed but the staff was up early cleaning up. Room was great! And definitely enjoyed the room service options. Would definitely recommend. Not a turn up party resort but good entertainment provided. Great resort to relax & reset!

Excellence resorts lived up to its name! It was an excellent stay. Everyone I interacted with was helpful, cared about my experience and was willing to take care of any small inconvenience. I would highly recommend staying here and I can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing week at Excellence Punta Cana in July. The property was nice and well maintained. The staff was excellent and went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. The beach was well groomed and although the seaweed was bad (normal for the season of our trip) the crews worked diligently to keep the beachs clear. The nightly entertainment was fun, our favorite being the Dominican Culture night. The restaurants were good, however the special restaurants were only open one night a week and we were unable to get into the French, Asian, nor Mexican restaurants. We would recommend opening them twice a week vs the current once weekly. The restaurant menus could use an update, especially reference allergy information. One of us has a gluten allergy, and we had to make some educated guesses on what we could order. Some items that were listed as GF came out with bread or croutons, while other items that are inherently GF (e.g. a baked potato with sour cream) were not listed as GF. Also, a minor thing but all steaks were surprisingly thin cuts; they were tasty but super thin. Ordering room service with an allergy was the most difficult as at least two of the order takers did not understand the allergy request. The resort uses an app which is nice for figuring out when scheduled events were and where different amenities were located. However, the app could use a refresh. Restaurant open/closed times were not accurately reflected, there is no way to respond to a message sent from a front desk or a restaurant, and you cannot order room service nor make reservations via the app. All of these features would be a welcome improvement. We only had one “poor” experience in which construction occurred in a room nearby and our room reeked of paint thinner to the point of giving us headaches. The front desk (Hector) was very understanding and immediately found us a room to switch too. This was an inconvenience, but was fixed promptly and professionally by the staff. The bars were good, not great. They do not know how to make an proper old fashioned (yes I know it’s the Caribbean) but most rum drinks were very good. The staff struck a good balance ensuring we had drinks if we wanted them, but were not pushy or overbearing. We did not use the spa due to a an unprofessional email exchange. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and give the experience a solid 4 out of 5 stars. With a little improvement, the property would be a 5 star plac

Great resort with beautiful views. The ocean has a lot of algae at this time of year (sargassum) but the resort takes a tractor out and scoops away as much of it as possible. Just keep in mind if you get in the ocean there could be some scratchy vegetation floating around that is a bit uncomfortable! Great service, great drinks, Food is good with some special spots where it is great! (spice, lobster house) Be sure to do the excellence club you just get a much nicer check in/out experience, and nicer amenities. Overall a great way to spend a week with your person! We stayed for 5 days (4 nights) and got to experience most of what the resort had to offer (aside from the paid upgrades).

This resort was FABULOUS! You are totally taken care of. When you arrive you receive a glass of champagne, a cool towel to wipe your face and hands, and a big “Welcome Home!". I am very big on service and the service I received at the Excellence Punta Cana was unmatched. Plus it's only for adults… so no screaming kids! The food was very good and they offer premium drinks. I would stay there again anytime.
