Excellence Punta Cana

So thoroughly disappointed right now. This is my 15th time at this resort and I keep coming back because of the atmosphere, the employees, food, and everything else about this resort. I am a diamond member and I reserved a room from September 8 through the 16th in the excellence club. Up until last night it was exactly what I was looking for until a group of rowdy couples came in and took over the excellence club main pool. They are so loud and obnoxious and we can even hear them in our room. Since half of the main pool for August is presently being renovated, these guests were told they could use the excellence club pool. The main pool already has a good portion of it still open that can accommodate them. It would not be a problem if they may maintain some decorum, but they are as annoying as can be. I inquired at the excellence club if they are allowed to use the pool due to the half of the other pool being closed. I was told yes. If that is the case, then why am I paying for excellence club benefits, and they are not, but still receiving them. I have reservations for this resort for two rooms in May and I am definitely rethinking my choice. I am waiting for the guest service manager and/or the supervisor to get in touch with me.

We stayed at Excellence Punta Cana for our honeymoon, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The resort is absolutely beautiful, the beach and pools are gorgeous, and our room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we hoped for. The food was one of our favorite parts of the stay. There were so many different restaurants and options to choose from, and we loved being able to try something different every night. The coffee shop was also a huge plus for us! What really stood out to us was the service. Every employee we interacted with went above and beyond to make our stay special. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and we always felt taken care of. We also loved that there were plenty of activities and things to do while still having a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect combination for a honeymoon—we could relax by the pool or beach when we wanted to, but there was always something available if we wanted to get up and do something. Excellence Punta Cana made our honeymoon incredibly special, and we would absolutely come back!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here for 11 days. From initially getting there to the hotel, we were already greeted with such great service from the employees from the bellboy to the reception front desk. Our room was so detailed with a sign saying we were celebrating our honeymoon and also did a fantastic job of keeping it clean and stocked every day since the time we were there till the time we left, it felt like our room stayed exactly how we first got there. Now to acknowledge the staff, the staff was incredible from the men and women working in the restaurants to working at all the bars. We experienced such great service, especially with my wife, trying to practice her Spanish, how patient and comforting they were with her. My biggest shoutout is to Franciel… he was a great waiter and took care of us at majority of the restaurants where we ate at and also another amazing shout out to Christian, Jorge and Diaz for being such a great time and positive and welcoming personalities and their service for us at the beach/bars. We also did the excellence club and I can’t say any bad things about it. It is definitely worth the extra charge for it. The service you get from the staff to all the different restaurants you have access to especially the excellence club bar, which had the best drinks probably in the whole resort. And it was so nice. We did the swim up room and it was nice to have that private pool with a few other rooms but not crowded enough that it felt like it was overwhelming. Overall, my wife and I had an amazing honeymoon. The staff was amazing. The resort was amazing and the food was amazing and we will definitely be coming back soon.

I came here with my husband for our honeymoon. We are from California, and heard some great things about here in our research. From the start, we were greeted with champagne, and everyone here has treated us like royalty. Notably, the service at the cabanas (especially Christian and Jorge), the Prelude (Diaz), and at several different dinners (Frances) were all 1000/10 incredible service and so great. They put a cute sign on our door that said it’s our honeymoon. Everything is clean and room service does a great job. Side note, excellence club is WORTH IT. For a few reasons, but for us, Magna and the bar in there are the best. The hydrotherapy was a great start to our trip. Also, we did the catamaran excursion and it was super fun— we snorkeled, went up to a sand bar, and had the best time!

We visited Excellence Punta Cana for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The location is beautiful. The beach is gorgeous and you can walk really far. The water was beautiful, lots of waves - not a lot of swimming, but I like to wade in and enjoy the views, I don’t need to actually swim. The grounds are clean and appealing. The theater is amazing, we enjoyed the shows every night. There are a ton of great bars!! We booked Excellence Club level, so we were able to enjoy the perks - the extra pools and the restaurant Magna. The bar at Magna is awesome, Ricardo the bartender is amazing!!!! Priscilla in Club reception is so kind and friendly!!! Jorge helped us out at the beach, he was so friendly. The hibachi at Spice was fun and entertaining! Roberta served us at Chez Isabelle and she was wonderful. The staff is great. OH AND THE SPA!! Omg one of the best experiences ever!!! We had a great time. There are so many staff members who made our week special. Additionally, there’s a botanical garden with beautiful birds. I loved visiting the little ducks every morning. Also the sunrise is beautiful.
