Excellence Punta Cana

My time at Excellence Punta Cana was very very excellent! The staff, food, ambiance, and activities were amazing! One of the activity members, Maria made me feel confortable and eager for the next activity each day. I would definitely come back to this resort and recommend to a friend and family member to come and celebrate for any occasion!

We recently stayed at Excellence Punta Cana, and unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst vacation experience we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property was not what we expected. The rooms are extremely dated and, more concerning, not clean. For a resort that markets itself as upscale—especially within the Excellence Club—this was very disappointing. The cleanliness standards simply did not meet basic expectations. The food situation was even worse. Nearly everything we tried was inedible. After our first night, both of us became sick and were throwing up multiple times. At that point, it was clear we could not safely continue our stay. We were originally booked for five days but made the decision to leave the very next morning because the conditions were unacceptable. There was no meaningful attempt from staff to address the situation, and we were not offered any kind of refund or resolution. I strongly urge anyone considering this resort to think twice. Based on our experience, it felt dirty, poorly maintained, and lacking any real accountability.

this was our 3rd stay at this property and as usual the service provided by the staff is what keeps us returning the weather was uncooperative and we ended up cutting our trip short, we took the excellence club suite ocean front with plunge pool, superb room but we would not book again, the pool was cold for us (we are from florida) and we much preferred the honeymoon suite. Just our preference. We arrived late and we were whisked through check in. The Staff at this resort are truly fantastic Annabel at EC checked us in super cool Eulin the bell hop could not have been more accommodating. Hendruix at the EC pool had our beds set up each day and is a true EXCELLENCE AMBASSADOR he is supported by Bienvenidos (bene) and Nyelli all superb we love chatting to the employees. Joan at the prelude bar is such an awesome Youngman The breakfast at the kitchen has SO MUCH variety and fresh ingredients you cannot fault it. Add Santa and Luis H to the mix and you have a winning combination. Santa is all heart and is a big reason we return. On this visit we got to meet the new GM Aaron from Spain even though he was on crutches he made his way constantly around the resort supporting his team and making sure guests were happy etc The team at magna (make sure you read the dress code) Joel, maricela, Orlando Ricardo and of course Francis (arod look alike) at the bar This crew are amazing the service is exemplary honestly food can be a bit hit or miss but the presentation is awesome, and service is fantastic We managed to see Robinson at oregano total professional. The staff at aroma Katy and a youngman I cannot remember his name I do know it was very unique name are amazing My only complaint of this trip was pool was too cold in our last two visits the pool was heated and for us this time it was just a bit too fresh, We love this resort to just unwind for a few days it is excellent value and keeps us returning. If you are looking for active party nightlife you will be disappointed but for a pampered relaxing time you cannot go wrong

Ambience and service were off the charts! Resort is pristine and stunningly beautiful. Casual elegance at its best. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Our terrace suite with private splash pool was worth every penny. Could not give 5 stars because of the food. Breakfast and lunches okay, dinners (except one at the Grill) were disappointing. But we’d still come back…beach and ambience worth it!

Wife and I took a few nights to unplug and get some sun. It’s a beautiful resort. Nice set up, quiet, private, beautiful beach, lots of amenities. Very mellow scene compared to some of the resorts we’ve visited. The Excellence Club provided exemplary service. They helped in us navigating a pharmacy issue when we arrived. There was also a room mix up the first night that they went over the top to make up for - private beach cabanas every day, massages, laundry, and comping the difference in room rate. Our private terrace suite was so nice, we almost hated leaving it to go to the beach and get massages. Food was solid for an all inclusive. Omelets at the breakfast buffet were solid and the various restaurants were good enough, with the Mexican spot being our favorite. Nice, clean, and well supplied gym. Had a nice set of kettlebells and cardio machines for a quick morning workout. Took in some of the nighttime entertainment. The circus was enjoyable. Would visit again.
