Still a great resort,just not worth 5* $
This was our second stay at EPC, and was not quite up to the standard I was expecting. The Good Staff was amazing, Luis and Benjamin were helpful welcoming and friendly at Kitchen table. Room was always cleaned and extras like flowers on the bed were always a special treat. The , (won't say bad, SO-SO) Food was extremely hit and miss. No lobster at Lobster house, realize it is out of season but nothing really added to the menu to replace. Chez Isabelle had construction going on so there was a strong chemical smell. All these issues are seasonal but I still paid $5000cad for this trip and expected more. The one consistently good was The Grill and Kitchen Table for lunch and breakfast. The ugly The room had a musty funk that was quite strong every time the AC ran. On the plus, the swim up in building 10 is a perfect choice and was always clean.

Anniversary get away
My husband and I stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana for our 30th anniversary. It wasn't our first choose but I'm so glad we did. It is a beautiful resort on the beach in Dominican Republic(adult only). It was so relaxing. It never felt crowded, you could always find loungers by the pool or on the beach. This is the second Excellence resort we've stayed at and I have to say I feel spoiled and don't want to stay anywhere else. We love the variety of foods, entertainment, activities and the wonderful staff. All the people that work there are so friendly and positive. We will definitely be back.

This resort was FABULOUS! You are totally taken care of. When you arrive you receive a glass of champagne, a cool towel to wipe your face and hands, and a big “Welcome Home!". I am very big on service and the service I received at the Excellence Punta Cana was unmatched. Plus it's only for adults… so no screaming kids! The food was very good and they offer premium drinks. I would stay there again anytime.
