Sivory Punta Cana in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

This boutique destination on the Dominican Republic’s gold coast offers all the amenities of a big resort, but on an intimate scale. Sivoy Punta Cana's secluded beach location gives guests a retreat from reality, but it is nevertheless worldly: the staff serves you champagne upon arrival by helicopter (if you choose), and the wine cellar stocks 200+ vintages. Birds, crabs, turtles and flsh thrive here.

Start your day in the Aquarea complex with a multi-station spa circuit that leads you through the Jacuzzi, steam room, ice fountain, sauna, and bucket and cascade showers. Head down to the beach for your windsurfing lesson, followed by a grilled ahi tuna sandwich from the Blu Bar, served as you lounge in a stone chaise immersed in the warm infinity pool. Stroll on the beach at sunset and return to your room through the meditation gardens. End the day at the Gourmond Restaurant, where you can dine on caviar and vintage Champagne at a table for two in the sand.

Le Sivory is a wonderful hotel directly in the beach. All the staff is very nice and professional. 3 restaurants but I love La veranda, beachfront, where you can eat Dominican. The beach is something magic, the wild side of Punta Cana

We loved our trip here. The staff at Sivory was warm and attentive; Verenise, our "personal butler," was very organized, helpful, and made sure we the best time possible. It was also fantastic that you can arrange to have a car pick you up from the airport--it costs $105, but it's worth it. The food was okay, but we really enjoyed the poolside drinks. We did not opt for the all-inclusive package, and felt that we were able to eat and drink for less than it would have cost to purchase that option. This hotel is secluded, quiet, and the rooms are luxurious. A great place to go if you want a relaxing, picturesque vacation in the Dominican Republic. We highly recommend visiting! We hope to return some day!

I specifically chose this resort because it looked like it would be very relaxing and it sure was! Every day we saw maybe 4-8 people around the pool and a few more on the beach. All you heard during the day was the ocean and the birds, and at night, the ocean and the insects. There was absolutely nothing to do and that was exactly what we wanted. I believe they do have some excursions, but we didn't really pay attention. The staff were very friendly, but there definitely is a language barrier - I should have learned more Spanish! The rooms were clean, but needed updating. The food was okay. Like others, we ate at the main restaurant every day. Room service was very inconsistent. Sometimes they got it right, sometimes they didn't. Our refrigerator was not stocked regularly, and we ran out of coffee, coffee cups and supplies. There was little variety in the wines - always the same brand. I got the impression that they were understaffed. Those tending bar didn't really know how to mix drinks that weren't on the drink menu. I ordered a gin martini, and I got a drink that in no way resembled a gin martini. It tasted good though, so I drank it. The beach was very nice. We didn't find the surf too strong. There are beds and hammocks under the palm trees. We had no problem with sand fleas or insects at night. The Domiken Walmart guy was fun. He was the only vendor and was not pushy. All in all, we would definitely go back to this resort for the R&R. I think they are under new management and need to work out some kinks. In spite of the little things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A hidden gem, but with a few limitations. Super friendly and attentive staff, a few of which I'd like to identify and thank: Dahiana Marte, Flor Marte, Jonathan Guerrero, and Juan Melo (restaurant). They seem to have their key players in key positions. There's a bit of a drop off in the level of service after you deal with the main POC's there. Dahiana assisted me from the first phone call to make the reservation, personally met us outside upon arrival, and made sure we were happy throughout. The main manager/perhaps one of the owners gave us a brief welcome as well, as we checked in. We were treated very nice at the front desk and were provided with an bit of an upgrade, I believe due to availability. A little further away from the majority of the Punta Cana locations. It will take you a little longer to get into town if you do plan on coming and going often. We didn't do the all-inclusive, but we did get the breakfast included. The breakfast was quite delicious and plentiful. Quite a romantic setting, super quiet, stars shining bright in the sky. Jacuzzi inside the room, one outside (but old and didn't work), by the personal private pool. Overall, the personal service made it feel like you spent 10 times more than you actually did, but at times there were some basic things that were lacking.

Nice place , excellent villa's , very nice garden, great service from the staff, fast wifi and excellent food and great wines. The perfect hide-away. But when we visited just a couple of visitors, The nearest place to see and meet other people is at a 40 minutes, us $ 90 return drive, the hard rock cafe or further in Punta Cana. It was excellent but a bit to quiet for us , so we left earlier as expected with having to pay for the period we were expected to stay.
