Zoetry Agua Punta Cana

To start off this is my second Zoetry experience, with my first being in Curacao. I’ll say the location of this one is perfect, I prefer it. Its ambiance, its beauty, its stunning private beach line was perfect. Tucked faraway from inner Punta Cana if you really want that relaxing zen experience and atmosphere. This place looks like a mini Hawaii, hidden away. From the moment we stepped foot in the beautifully thatched building entrance I knew this was the place, it was truly a special paradise. Wandy immediately approached us and sat us down comfortably. While checking us in we were meet with refresher drinks and brought colds towels for our necks and backs. Wandy presented us with options for our scents they would vent into the room. I loved the whole vibe. Our concierge approached shortly after and introduced himself a Simeon. What can I say about him? He’s fantastic, the type of guy that makes you feel warm and welcome as soon and he gives you a smile. He was absolutely one of the best concierge men in the industry. His service was exceptional, he paid attention to every detail on our stay. He remembered my partners birthday before hand and had a surprise delivered to the room. He even went as far as getting his hands on very good flu medicine as my partner started to feel ill. I shot him a text and he was at my room in 5 minutes or less. He had the medicine which came from a pharmacy off the resort within 40 mins. There aren’t enough kind words to say about this gentlemen. Truly an eye for detail and at the top of what he does. Thanks again Simeon. The entire staff gave you that friendly feeling that you miss often back home in the states, I felt like I was surrounded by family. No matter who you walked by you were greeted with a warm smile and a kind “hola”. The food here was excellent, a very good blend of Dominican cuisine and other traditional cuisines done very very well. The food that came to the room for room service was always verified with a lovely call first before delivery and I can honestly say they made no mistakes with any of my requests. I have to give a big shout out to Leidy working at the Indigo restaurant! She was very sweet, helpful, and generous with her time. She found time to do room deliveries for me personally which was very nice of her. She remembered my room number without me having to tell her more than once. She’s very sharp, and in tune with her guests. The food experience here was fantastic 10/10. They have so many options you’ll never get sick of anything, from pizza at the pool bar being freshly baked in-front of you. To the grill sizzling and searing right behind you with awesome buffet style lunch options. I could go on and on. Now I had to make a section just for the bar and the beach bar folks and their services. From the beginning Carlos at the front bar(Main Lobby)was phenomenal . He’s the best bartender and mixologist I’ve ever got my chance to lay eyes on, he’s very skilled and can make anything from a original classic martini perfectly to an island inspired passion fruit, or coconut martini in a heart beat. His drinks are awesome but it was him as a person who really made almost this entire trip for me, he’s a wonderful person with a beautiful heart, he’s super whitty and can have a conversation with you on just about any topic, his English was fantastic, as I don’t speak any Spanish barely but we managed to have hours of long conversations at the bar. This man is truly great and I hope that Zoetry understands what they have with this man. By the end of this trip Carlos felt like a long lost friend. He’s got a heart of gold. Book the trip just for this man alone lol! Also he never forgets a drink order. Tell him one time and he’s got it in his brain exactly how you like it everytime without you even having to ask. God Bless you my friend thanks again for the deep talks and great drinks. Will be seeing more of you! As for his help around the bar Karina was truly a sweetheart, she has a smile that could light a room. She’s truly a good member of the zoetry staff. Her energy was always warm, bubbly, and welcoming. Thanks so much to her! As for our beach drinking experiences I have to give a special shout out to my amigas Monica and Yudelky. They were always super kind to us. We never had such great beach service, they remembered all our drinks and had more in our hands just before we could take our last tips. They are very attentive and detailed oriented. They made wandering around the beach a blast, no matter where you were hidden or walking they always found a lovely kind way to always check in on you. The days we were here we took the time to really relax and this trip was exactly that. Relaxing in paradise. Zoetry offered beautiful spa experiences, everything from hot towel treatments, to sound bowel classes done by a professional. It was very zen, I can’t say I felt one bit of frustration the entire time and the spa style experience Zoetry provides very much hits the mark. Our last day came rolling around and again things went very smooth, I’m stickler for details and organization as is my partner. So checking out was a breeze, our bag man Juan Carlos helped us out greatly that day. From the time we had our bags ready he was outside the room ready to roll them to the lobby for us. He was a great guy. All smiles and jokes, he had a great sense of humor which we really appreciated. Simeon took the time to arrange our ride to the airport out the day before effortlessly. We had a beautiful lunch and by 1:30 we had to be at the car. Simeon had the car at the lobby parked by 12:45 (early). It was great we had zero trip anxiety and it was a breeze from start to finish. Thanks again for the lovely experience and to all the staff at Zoetry they were truly lovely and made the experience way more exceptional than just another “vacation”. This was honestly the best vacation I’ve ever had. And it was the staff who made it!

This resort was amazing! We have never stayed at this resort brand before, so we did not know what to expect. This resort blew our expectations out of the water. It was such a clean, quaint, and calm resort. The staff was extremely helpful and personable. It was nice not having to make reservations for dinner or not having to fight for spots on the beach. Overall, we were VERY pleased with this stay, and will definitely be coming back!

This was our first time at an all-inclusive. The location and food/drinks were great. We used the spa and attended a couple of the activities during the day and evening. We swam in the water and were not bothered by sargassum that others might complain about. It's the ocean, it has seaweed. We were excited to kayak, but then learned you can only kayak in front of the property. So, don't expect to go explore. I think kayaking would be pretty difficult anyhow with the currents and surf. Spa staff were very attentive as were the servers in the restaurants. After reading other reviews, I expected the sales pitch about joining Hyatt VIP. I just wasn't really expecting to be approached about it again throughout the duration of our stay. I also didn't really like the upsell in room attempt at check-in. We also got approached by beach vendors multiple times. All were polite when we said no. We were there for only four nights, so I wanted to make every moment count. The only thing that could make this better is to stop the sales pitches. Check out was smooth, but the writing was so small on the receipt, I could barely read it. Overall the experience was great and I would go again. It was just uncomfortable that half the interactions we had with folks in the lobby area was because they were trying to sell us something.

Travelled sept 2026, amazing stay at the Zoetry. Perfect if you are just looking to go somewhere for relaxation, the hotel itself is fairly isolated which was perfect for us. We were looking for a fly and flop holiday and this ticked the boxes. We stayed in the Premium Ocean Front Suite King with Plunge Pool, the room was immaculate, the bed was comfy an on the beach front so was perfect for those jet lag early mornings where you could get up and watch the sun rise. The staff were amazing, always made you feel welcome. a special mention to Edwin and Kalvin at the pool bar, Ladie and Sori at the restaurants. To be fair all the staff were amazing from the gardeners, security, house keeping, chefs, waiters and reception and any I may have missed they all deserve massive recognition! My only feed back would be the menu variety, although there are multiple restaurants on site the menu was a bit samey, this is slightly unfair on our part as we aren't too adventurous with our culinary experiences but as nothing was really tickling our taste buds we tended to just stick with what we liked. I think maybe breakfast and lunch could do with a bit of rotation, maybe daily specials or a BBQ one day a week? Lastly, maybe Coco cafe could open a little earlier, coming from the UK we were up early most mornings, there were coffee making facilities in the room but its not the same as a nice fresh coffee. My final recommendation would be to pack the mozzie repellent the little sods got us good but the hotel does fumigate each day to try and minimise this and they also provided some repellent in the room as well.

We had a wonderful stay overall and made some truly beautiful memories here. The resort itself is stunning, very well maintained, and our room was beautiful and comfortable. ❤️ What really made our stay special, however, were some of the amazing people working here. Leidy was the absolute highlight of our trip! ❤️ She is incredibly warm, attentive and professional and genuinely made us feel special. She remembered the little things, always welcomed us with a smile and provided exceptional service. She truly deserves recognition for the fantastic job she does! Karina was one of our favorite bartenders – wonderful cocktails, incredibly friendly and always professional. ❤️ Chamel was equally fantastic. He was attentive, efficient and remembered our preferences, often knowing what we needed before we even asked. We also became very fond of Sergenia, who is such a warm and lovely person. Sory was always extremely friendly and Fernando was also consistently kind and welcoming. A special thank you also goes to Benjamin, who led our Spanish classes. He always welcomed us with open arms and made the classes fun and enjoyable. Thanks to his enthusiasm and dedication, we even managed to learn some Spanish during our vacation! Muchas gracias, Benjamin! ❤️ We absolutely loved the activities at the resort as well. Making pottery on the beach, painting, learning Spanish and even producing our own coconut oil were such lovely experiences. We really appreciated having creative and cultural activities rather than only the typical resort entertainment. Another unforgettable moment was my boyfriend’s birthday. Our concierge Diomendez organized a beautifully decorated room and even arranged a gluten-free birthday cake after discussing everything with me beforehand. It was such a thoughtful surprise. Thank you! 🎂❤️ Unfortunately, we also had one experience that we feel is important to mention, especially for other LGBTQ travelers. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it presents itself as LGBTQ-friendly. We are a gay couple but are actually very discreet in public – we don’t kiss or hold hands around the resort. Nevertheless, we unfortunately felt uncomfortable with the behavior of one staff member in the pool area, Charly. On one occasion, Charly went around the pool taking drink orders from the other guests but deliberately appeared to skip us despite clearly seeing us. We subsequently experienced similar situations during the following days where he did not serve us. We increasingly felt that we were being avoided. We obviously cannot know his intentions, and we do not want to make accusations about someone’s personal beliefs. However, based on the repeated interactions, we felt that we were being treated differently as a gay couple. That was disappointing and uncomfortable, particularly at a resort we specifically chose partly because of its LGBTQ-friendly positioning. We decided not to confront the situation during our vacation because we simply wanted to relax and enjoy our time together. However, we believe LGBTQ travelers considering the hotel deserve to hear about our experience. Importantly, this experience was not representative of the majority of the staff. Quite the opposite: Leidy, Chamel, Karina, Sergenia, Benjamin and many others treated us with enormous warmth and made us feel very welcome. ❤️ Regarding the food, we were really happy with the number of gluten-free options available throughout the resort. Having a good selection of gluten-free dishes made our stay much easier and more enjoyable, and we never felt like we were limited to just one or two choices. The kitchen was also very accommodating with special requests, which we greatly appreciated. The à la carte restaurants were good overall, although breakfast and lunch can become somewhat repetitive during a longer stay. Nevertheless, the excellent handling of gluten-free requirements was a big positive for us. Even the gluten-free birthday cake that was arranged for my boyfriend was a wonderful touch. ❤️ The beach unfortunately had quite a lot of seaweed during our October stay, although we understand that this is largely outside the hotel’s control. Finally, we would like to give a very special thank you to Oliver, who took wonderful care of us on our departure day. ❤️ He organized everything around our late check-out extremely well and was incredibly accommodating. Since our room was needed from 12 PM, he arranged another room for us where we could shower, freshen up and get ready before leaving the resort. This made such a difference, especially when having a later departure. Oliver was extremely helpful, attentive and well organized, and thanks to him our final day and departure were so much more comfortable and relaxed. It was the perfect way to end our stay. Thank you so much, Oliver! Overall, we had a beautiful vacation and will remember it very fondly. The resort is gorgeous, the activities are a wonderful addition, there are plenty of gluten-free options, and some members of the team are truly exceptional. A huge thank you especially to Leidy, Chamel, Karina, Sergenia, Benjamin and Oliver for making our vacation so memorable. ❤️
