This hotel definitely lived up to our expectation of a quiet & relaxing atmosphere. Four adults stayed in the Villa Dominica during the first week of December. The hotel was definitely not full during our time there which was nice – it never felt crowded. Chairs were always available on the beach or at the pool. The GOOD Butler – Jesus was very helpful throughout our stay, always available & provided a couple of very nice surprises. Staff - very friendly and accommodating Special call out to a few of the staff that went over and above: Daniel, Angel, Yessica, Abrahan, Vanessa, Rafael, and the lovely girls serving drinks at the pool & beach. Drinks – top shelf Pools – very nice & clean. Beach – very nice. You can walk for a considerable distance. No vendors. Hurricane has left beaches beyond hotel cluttered with debris – I am sure this will get cleaned up with time. The NOT-SO GOOD Food – we had issues with the quality of the food at the resort for the entire week. All meals are a-la-carte. A couple of special meals were set up for us & they were very good. The food is not what you would expect at a 5 star resort in the Caribbean. This is one of the main reasons we chose a 5 star – for the food. Very disappointing. Accommodations – the villa has a thatched roof. This allows for bugs to enter your room. Bugs were present on our bed every night. The shared space and the plunge pool are not set up in a way that they are conducive for use. Also, the walls between the 2 bedrooms are paper thin – you can hear everything. The ANNOYING At the airport upon arrival in Punta Cana you have to go through immigration & process all luggage through a scanner – no issue. After you leave this area you are now looking for your agent for transportation. There are some pretty official looking ladies that led us to understand we had to proceed to a specific area with our hotel voucher. Little did we know we are duped into hearing a pitch for the Hard Rock Hotel. This was extremely annoying and a total waste of our time. We have never seen this in any other airport in the Caribbean – it is tacky to say the least!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The property is very nice and very well maintained! The entire staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating! Our butler "Arismendy" very good and helpful. Whatever we needed he made sure we had it. He made our massage and horseback riding reservations and assisted with our other excursion reservations. Having his assistance was extremely helpful. He became like a son to us!! Very nice young man!

The resort was distinctive in that it gives you a true island feel as opposed to the normal resort. It is incredibly serene with impeccable service. We had a once in a lifetime dinner on the beach experience where they constructed a table in the sand for us. We were the only ones on the beach and the meal and service were both first class.

Let me start this off by saying that in the past 24 years of my life (yes I’m 24), and of the 25 countries I have visited so far, never have I experienced such a beautiful (from every angle) resort. If you are honeymooning, or celebrating anything as a couple, this is where you should do it. My boyfriend and I were gifted this trip by his parents for graduating chiropractic school. We heard through the grapevine that Sandals Resort takes the cake for food, however I have never been, and I have to say the food here at Zoetry was delicious and we had zero complaints..... also, this resort takes the cake for EVERY other category. I will include pictures, but please believe that they do not do this place justice. One of our favorite moments was honestly (as simple as it seems) lounging on a pool raft in the pool at the swim up bar. What I must warn you about: is the AMAZING service this place offers. I mean, never have I ever experienced such service, nothing even close. I would love to think the service was great especially for JUST us, HOWEVER, everyone we met had this to say: this resort has service COVERED, I mean, by a landslide. So, my boyfriend Adam and I would really like to thank all the people that make this resort the 5 star accommodation it is. Some of the most notable employees (not to say that they weren’t all notable, however these were the ones we ran into every single day with a big smiling face) were: 1. Alejandro (our amazing butler, who one night I texted at 8pm asking for rose petals on the bed and had it done by 8:30pm, like, are you kidding? Thank you so much Alejandro) 2. Topasia (our amazing waitress: every time I saw her we hugged and she asked if we needed anything) 3. Daniel (normally our waiter when Topasia was not our waitress, he always approached with a smile and a genuine gentleman-like demeanor, you were fantastic) 4. Harlant (who taught us Spanish every single day that he met us, I mean honestly, think about the patience this guy had. Harlant, ¡gracias por todo! 5. Wanda (the women who is probably sick of Harlant telling everyone she’s his girlfriend hahaha, you are beautiful, inside and out. And those eyes, WHOA) 6. Jess (who greeted me every morning as princess, and asked every morning how our day was, if we needed anything, thank you) 7. Joaquin (the man at the main lobby bar who comes to you as SOON as you need him, never too soon, never too late, and thank you for offering us snacks when you knew we needed them. You are great) 8. Sophie (house keeper who let me in when my key malfunctioned and I REALLY had to go number 1, you saved the day) 9. Gilberto (who pretended to drop every drink he served us, but saved it for us when we were mortified we dropped it, I mean he literally always made us laugh at the swim up bar) So again, thank you for giving us such a memorable experience. Thank you to the staff for taking care of us as if they were our family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Excelente! The Zoetry resort has such a small and elegant feel with an elite staff. We did not have any bad experiences. Jesus took care of us from square one and was sure to inform us of all of the resort's benefits. If we needed anything, he was sure to get it for us. He also threw in a few nice surprises. It was very special and we will never forget. The excursions in the Dominican Republic were also incredible. Saona and Catalina for snorkeling and authentic Domincan food are a must. I hope we can come back in the future! Overall, A++
