For five glorious days, my cousin and I got to experience this lovely treasure. We're from the Caribbean ourselves, and between the two of us, we have visited a number of other islands, but we both agreed that Antigua feels like home. No doubt a lot of that satisfaction came from Galley Bay Resort itself. From an unexpected but appreciated upgrade at check-in to the buggy trips anytime we needed it, they seem to have worked out how to run a resort to an art. Firstly, the resort...the location is unparalleled from what I have seen, The water is so blue it looks unreal, and the water is usually fairly calm so if you don't swim like me, you don't have to worry. The water is so clear that you can clearly see your feet through 5ft of water! The staff, however, are really what makes this place amazing. Always friendly and willing to go out of their way to accommodate anything you might need, even trying to meet any dietary restrictions as long as you let them know! We usually had dinner at Gauguin, and the setting and staff were the best. A special shout out to darling Denita, as well as Michael and Timothy. Breakfast at Seagrape, especially if Troya was around, was always a lovely experience. We even had lunch at the Island Grill the last 2 days we were there, it's perfect for a quick bite in your swimwear, and the choices were always tasty. The complimentary watersports were also more than adequate, and Linroy and Lenroy took us out on the Hobie Cats on two separate days. they never seemed hurried and they were very knowledgeable about the history of the surrounding areas. Don't even get me started on the massages at Indulge Spa...those ladies are awesome! Maybe it's because we were fellow islanders, or maybe it's how they treated all their guests, but all I know is that I can't wait to return!

Amazing place to go, the staff are really friendly, polite and helpful. The food is always at a really good standard and there is always something for everyone. Definitely worth every penny and would happily go back without a doubt. Beautiful views and very clean and spacious rooms!

Best vacation ever!!! Frindly staff, great activities with amazing views. The groundskeepers took great pride in their job and explained the different plants and wildlife. Ed, Kerry and Sandy Carr all went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Totally amazing resort. When we arrived they upgraded us from a Deluxe Beachfront to a suite..nice touch. The staff was so friendly. I have trouble walking and the first room was a 2nd-floor beachfront suite. Beautiful view but stairs were difficult. No problem they gave me a beachfront walk out the next day & porters moved all our stuff! They have golf carts all over that will pick you up and bring you to different parts of the resort. The place is beautiful not too big and walkable if you don't have a disability. Great food and drinks and had nice entertainment at night. One night they had a pig roast BBQ--delicious. I would go back in a heartbeat. Recommend it to anybody! The only problem was the water was really rough--beautiful to watch and great to sleep but impossible to get in. They brought a bus one day and took anyone who wanted to go to a calmer beach. Nice touch. But beware of the airport restaurants. While waiting for our flight home, I had 1 Margaretta and a salad and my husband had a local beer and a fish sandwich...cost $73.00!!!.Yikes!!

The resort is in a beautiful location with a lagoon at the entrance and a great beach, although the waves can be rough at times. The rooms are large, especially the bathrooms with walk in showers, but are a little dated and in need of some upgrade. There are 3 restaurants, one of which requires and upcharge, and the food is very good but not really excellent. The service is excellent in the restaurants and the bars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The free internet access is spotty at best and very slow. Everything was all inclusive except the mini-bar in the room, which we thought was a little strange. Definitely a 4 star resort, but could use an update.
