Reviews for Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort
We stayed at Jumby Bay for the 3rd time and it is as excellent as ever. The Oetker now manage the property (replacing Rosewood), and standards are still very high. They seem to have low staff turnover as we met many staff who have been there on our visits since 2015. As always service is excellent and friendly. We stayed in one of the 2 Estate Suites. They are both excellent suites with full amenities - Bedroom, Dressing area, Bathroom with large shower (the tub is outside in a private enclosure). There is a vast sitting room, a separate office and a kitchen equipped with large fridge (full of spare supplies for the mini-bar), microwave and dishwasher. The outside space is great with enough room to follow the sun (or the shade if you prefer) through the day. My personal preference is suite 44, but only because I prefer the view. The beach barbecue (Sundays) and Caribbean night in the Pool Grille (Wednesdays) are not to be missed occasions

My husband and I booked a five day stay at Jumby Bay and it was one of our favorite luxury Caribbean vacations. We can't thank everyone there enough for the truly wonderful experience we had. Pros: -Jumby Bay had arranged for our transfers and we were delighted to fly in to a beautiful airport in Antigua and have a VIP whisk us through Customs and then to our transport to the island. -The staff at Jumby Bay are incredibly welcoming and just wonderful. -Island has about 40 private estates and around 30 rooms- so it is really intimate and private, and tends to a more upscale clientele. -There is NOTHING to do but beach, eat, drink, water sports. If you want to relax, this is THE place. The setting is to die for and we loved riding bikes everywhere! -The service was TOP notch. I barely had to ask for anything- someone was there and checking in on us. We travel a lot and usually beach service stinks- someone comes by your hut once a day, you won't even have to think and someone arrives! Cons: -Aside from the Estate House (for dinner), it doesn't look like any updates have been made in a long time. The Pool area and the rooms are a wee bit dated. -We loved our patio overlooking the ocean, but there was no cross breeze or ceiling fan so it made sitting out there unbearable between the heat and bugs. -Some of the food was sub par - considering most of the food was great. If I were to complain, I would say that there needed to be fresher elements to the menu (for example, we ordered a panzanella salad and the vegetables were stewed, the croutons were stale - when I think panzanella I think fresh tomatoes, basil, crunchy croutons/grilled bread. I also had a couple of items that were overcooked or just not the freshest at the fine dining option. -The spa- also a bit dated - and ridiculously expensive. Our massages were FANTASTIC, but I almost choked when I was handed the bill. By far, the most expensive spa I have been to in my life. Honestly, I am searching for things to complain about because our vacation was wonderful. Oh- I would also suggest a game room of some sort? There isn't much to do at night. Maybe we missed it?

We stayed at Jumby Bay for 7 nights with our extended family. There were 18 of us in total (aged 3-70+), and we all had the best time! With such a large number of us, we stayed in a wide range of accommodation. My husband and I stayed in a pool suite which was pretty spectacular! It was extremely spacious, indoor and outdoor showers, spacious lounge, gorgeous outdoor seating / sunbathing area and of course our own pool. The room was spotless and very well looked after during our stay. Nice touches such as cakes / biscuits left at evening turndown and the painted shells were lovely. We also visited our fellow guests’ villas and they were also fantastic. The Island is a decent size, it takes about 45 mins to walk around. There is a wide range of birds and wildlife, especially at the nature reserve at the centre of the Island. Getting around couldn’t be easier, either by bikes (provided at your accommodation) or by golf buggy. The gym is also very good, loads of equipment, good temperature and well maintained. The area where Jumby really excels is the quality of food and drinks which make up the All Inclusive experience. We ate in all of the restaurants, including 2 evenings of fine dining in The Estate House, and the food was of the highest quality. Special mention for The Estate House which really did serve exquisite food in beautiful surroundings. In Veranda we particularly enjoyed the fresh fish and the wide variety of vegetables/ salads which were on the buffet at lunch. Breakfast was also excellent with hot buffet or food cooked to order as well as an extensive buffet with an array of fresh fruit and cakes/ pastries. Last but not least, a special mention for the staff. Every member of the team we met were smiling, very happy to help and excelled at providing the best service to guests. They helped make our holiday really special. I think the fact that such a large group of us, of varying ages, all had a fantastic time says all you need to know about Jumby Bay.

A true tropical paradise off the main island of Antigua. Very high class resort with great service, food and facilities. The beach is wonderful with ample water sports. Tennis, a very good gym and a spa. 3 restaurants and a beach “shack” with a great chilled out vibe. Wonderful place and I look forward to returning.

Jumby cannot be beaten for a relaxing family holiday . The beach must be one of the best in the World , the staff superb and the accommodation spacious and a short few steps to the beach. There are no cars and you get bikes to cycle around or you can get a lift from the hotel golf buggies . The children have so much freedom and fun that you barely see them all week and can truly relax . A special big thank you to the water sports team who showed so much patience looking after the kids throughout the week . Hours were spent on the inflatables. This was our fourth time and we will be back again next year . We see the same families each year and everyone mixes so well from day one . Being hyper critical we would say that the pool grill is very hot to have lunch so maybe something could be done about that . Also perhaps the menu at the pool grill could be different to the food you can get from the beach bar although you can also get lunch at the veranda . The fridges in the suites need replacing as they are old and struggle to keep the drinks cold . These are small issues however . We had a truly fantastic week and our batteries are fully recharged . Thank you to all Management and Staff for making our stay so wonderful .
