Reviews for Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort
The Caribbean has the most beautiful blue water I've ever seen, but here it's bluer. The color is indescribable. My room was a small villa with a plunge pool facing the beach. The island is all yours here.... only bikes and golf carts travel the winding roads and the beach has plenty of room for the 80 or so guests who have the entire island to themselves. It's decadent, perfect, with service every minute of the day and the gentle vibrant blue ocean just waiting for you to find starfish to play with. There's a lot to do on the mainland of Antigua if you want, but I doubt that you will. It's perfect. The most beautiful spot I've found in the whole big gorgeous Caribbean is right here. And at 2 am in May go out and look for the Southern Cross. Then just enjoy the incredible beach.

We love Jumby Bay, the level of service here is on another level. We have had three trips to this beautiful island. If you want somewhere to relax and do nothing this is the place to go! Nothing is too much trouble my children liked the cookies, they mentioned it to someone and then everyday some were delivered to the suite. These small things make a big difference. The only fault is we normally go for 10-14 days and the menu gets a bit boring but I'm 100% sure if you fancied something not on the menu the staff would go out there way to give you what you like. I now spend many days dreaming when will we return to Jumby Bay.....
Jumby Bay is a beautiful private island reached by power launch from Antigua mainland only 10 minutes from the airport. First impressions are of the chic little dock reception they have built and the super smart boat that takes you over to Jumby and the sight of the beautiful beach lifts one's spirits. I chose this venue with careful consideration having been there previously with my husband and was returning now, solo, as a widow. I knew the staff would remember us and I knew they would make me welcome - and they did! I chose a traditional Rondavel suite which was beautiful - had an outdoor patio shower, a little dip pool, a terrace and a wonderful view of the sea. Also within easy walking distance of the reception, restaurants and beach The hotel has upgraded a lot of facilities since my last visit and I thought the improvements were excellent. The beach is one of the best I have ever been to and with non stop service of snacks and drinks, (included) a beach bar and an infinity pool/grill it is an endless source of pleasure. It is not easy to "holiday" alone in an atmosphere as romantic and heavenly as this, but the staff are truly kind, caring, chatty, helpful and fun. Without their input I would have been a bit lost! That said, the other guests are also happy to make conversation and to dine and drink with a solo - this is not always the case! The food is very good and the calibre of the inclusive drinks particularly the wines has definitely improved substantially over the years. The hotel provides a sufficient amount of evening entertainment to keep you happy and the time does not seem to drag even on one's own. There are little excursions and activities to keep you busy, a handy little shop with great beach wear and a spa. I cannot stress enough how great the staff are - they make the visit and they make you want to return. Nothing is too much trouble and they genuinely care whether you are having a good time or not. A lot of hotels have no idea how to look after solo lady guests - happily this one does.

It is a beautiful resort and island. All of the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. The food and service is out of this world! We also enjoyed a trip to the mainland to St. Johns and the Naval dock.

Our fourth trip to Antigua and first to Jumby Bay. Previous years we stayed at a "five star" property on the mainland. Frankly, Jumby Bay puts that property to shame. What a difference a 7 minute boat ride to Jumby makes. The vibe is totally different and even the sea life is different. In previous years, I may have seen one star fish, at Jumby, you make a point to not accidentally step on one. That along with fishes, conches and even a baby stingray! The accommodation was immaculate (pool suite) and service was top notch. I won't get into the details but do yourself a favor and experience Jumby Bay if you have the chance.
