We first went to Jumby in July, 2016. As evidenced by our first review, it was a perfect trip. Jumby is expensive, but it is such a special place -- a luxurious destination which is also completely down to earth and without any attitude. We knew we had to come back and were thrilled when two of our close friends agreed to come with us. We were concerned, however, that the bar was set too high and the resort would not be as great the second time. Our concerns were unfounded. We returned the first week of July, 2017. We stayed in a beachside courtyard suite again. Everything was just as we remembered it to be. The beach service was outstanding - as was pool service. Travis at the pool made us feel so welcome and cared for - his incredibly positive attitude contributed to our overall experience. Hanging out at the beach bar was a daily afternoon activity as the resort is a magnet for all sorts of interesting people from around the world. The resort team is completely committed to taking care of their guests. When they changed the weekly sunset cruise to another night, we were so disappointed because our friends were leaving the island the morning of the rescheduled cruise. When we went to talk to the concierge about this --- the resort was so kind to set up a special VIP cruise for the four of us. Noel took us out for a wonderful tour around the island. He was a wealth of information and we had a great time on the boat with him. We really appreciated the gesture in arranging this for us. This time we also had the resort arrange a trip for us to stingray city. This was a super fun outing. The boat picked us up right on the jumby dock and took us out to visit the stingrays. The resort was careful to book our outing so that we were there with almost no other boats visiting so we had the area basically to ourselves. Back at the resort, the food was consistently good and we were delighted that the estate house had been reopened, as it was closed for our first visit. The estate house is a really lovely space with wonderful food. In addition, it was always easy to get a golf cart ride back to our room after dinner. We only had small criticisms of the food -- like it would be great if the pool restaurant served a bigger bowl of salsa with its chips and some of the appetizers at the estate house are itty bitty (ie the scallop appetizer has one scallop). Not a huge issue though because the staff was always happy to put together a special order for us. Since it was fourth of July while we were there, we got to enjoy a special beach barbeque complete with fireworks -- it was a fun night. This was in addition to the weekly white night that is held on the beach. Both beach events were accompanied by a fun band. One small issue, the resort no longer had big floats for hanging out in the water. We were told that new floats had been ordered - those were a great touch and we hope they get more in stock soon. After we returned from our trip, we learned that a new management company was going to take over starting in September. Jumby has found its way into our heart so we hope that the new management team retains the incredible staff and high standards for excellence. Really hoping Caroline in guest services is still there when we return -- she is an incredible ambassador for Jumby and a real ray of sunshine at the resort.

My first trip to the Caribbean and what a trip. Everything was exceptional and you could write an essay on the magical memories I have. One thing needs to be mentioned. The staff were by far the most helpful and friendly people I have ever come across at a hotel or resort. You will leave the island feeling a connection with them. I will return! Flawless.

Jumby Bay was perfect from start to finish. The natural beauty was matched by the phenomenal service. My families favorite vacation ever! That is what brought me looking for updates as Irma approaches. I hope that all you wonderful people that live in Antigua and work at Jumby Bay are safe. I hope this island and resort survive - it is amazing! We hope to be able to return soon, but mostly we wish for your safety.

Jumby Bay is the closest place next to heaven! The service, care and genuine professional air was evident from the moment we were greeted at the airport and whisked away on the ferry toward paradise. Our room was very close to the beach and had a private courtyard and a pool on the terrace. The bathroom was huge. There was a large marble tub, separate shower and an outside shower! The outside shower brought to mind what Eden must have been like! Loved it!! Bikes are parked outside our front door. We enjoyed walking around the island. Every evening, in addition to our bed linen turned back, a sweet treat, water and signed sea shell was on the bed table. On the beach, every umbrella/stand is kept supplied with a miniature cooler containing water. Staff was on call all day with offers of drinks and such. There are three outstanding restaurants and the beach bar/shack. Every day, the beach bar was lively with conversation and interesting people. The Estate House is truly elegant . We had a fabulous time!

A very beautiful resort- easy to reach which is great after a long flight. Stylish catamaran ferry across to the offshore delights of Jumby Bay. Took a beachside courtyard room which was nice and private. Loved the no key policy on the island- a real blast from the past. High quality food for an all inclusive rate- the Estate House is the most elegant eatery we have seen on our travels in the region. Only small negative on the food/drink front was being provided with carton orange juice at breakfast- this was swiftly remedied when questioned and fresh juice was conjured up (not sure why this wasn't standard practice in the first place). Beach is beautiful and sea is gorgeous, clear and warm. As others have said the swim area is a little restricted by weeds and snorkelling opportunities off the beach are limited. There is though a very good complimentary snorkel trip out to the reef- the staff on that trip were excellent. Overall a very good property, well managed and highly recommended.
