From the minute you step off the plane you are treated like royalty. The landscape is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in a beachside suite and although not “beachside” its a beautiful setting and a very spacious room with a wonderful outside shower and bath. The food was great and drinks are served top shelf. Try their “rum punch” which I’ve perfected the recipe at home! The staff is so sweet, the guest relations manager..Kemroy on the beach, little O, Indi, Franca, Maureen, the list goes on and on, we will definitely be back and we don’t duplicate anywhere.

I’m lucky to have visited Jumby Bay 3 times before this trip. Sometimes expectations can supersede reality, but JB didn’t disappoint. I spent a heavenly week with my family. There were a lot of familiar faces, even after 3 years. The staff are exemplary and always have a smile and the warmest of welcomes! Regardless of whether they actually remember you, you are welcomed with open arms. The service in the restaurant was sometimes a little slow, but let’s face it this is the Caribbean and who’s in a rush? This place is very special and the pace of life is very slow, which is a delight as let’s face it we want to chill out and relax. Obviously the rum punch’s help. I’m not sure whether I’ll have the opportunity to return, but hopefully one day I will be blessing and find myself on the ferry back to Jumby Bay. Thanks to all the wonderful staff. Felix at the beach bar, Kemoy on the beach, Wayne on the watersports, Indi at The Verandha, Tansania at the Pool grill along with all the other lovely girls who’s names I don’t remember. Patel at the Estate House, and Alisha who cleaned our room! The list is endless. Thanks everyone for an awesome week.

We were all extremely excited to visit Jumby Bay and needless to say we were extremely let down. This is not a luxury five star resort. It is 3 Star at best. We paid $3600 a night for a one bedroom pool suite (plus food, taxes) I’ll include a photo of the brown grass landscape. The room itself isn’t bad but for the price, you’d expect a spectacular view. Whenever we have called for any kind of housekeeping service (early turn-down or to get the room serviced in the morning) it takes hours. Usually we come back from eating at the room hadn’t been cleaned yet. We have had to skip the first 3 nights of turn down because once we returned from dinner, they still hadn’t arrived and we wanted to relax with no more interruptions When they have cleaned the room, they forget to replace the shampoo and conditioner in the room so we are out tonight as we wait for evening turn down which was requested over an hour ago. For meals, I don’t know which is worse, the service or the food. It actually has an ill smell to some of the dishes and the silverware was not clean. The staff is not attentive at all. The ambiance is very dated. It does not have a luxurious feel at all. The food is beyond bland and the menu very limited. They also move at a snails pace. It takes forever to even get your drinks The best part of the trip will be leaving. Room service takes an excessive amount of time nd it hasn’t been right yet. It’s almost impossible to get service while on the beach. Bikes they give you to ride around are old and rusty When we contacted someone at the front desk and they had a non-helpful, arrogant manner. I’d never return here or recommend this resort Will stick to Four Seasons, One and Only, Six Senses

Arrival: waited quite a long time for our ferry with no updates from the folks sitting there. It was not seamless and we felt like after thoughts. Room: pool suite is comfortable and spacious Restaurants: decor and furniture needs updating. The food has made me sick every time i’ve eaten anything. My two teenagers said it’s very average. Service: there are some staff who genuinely seem to care and most do not. Management: I went to management with a problem and they had me repeat myself to 3 different staff members. The last person I spoke to was extremely rude and dismissive

We are trying to check into this supposedly five star resort. Firstly they keep us waiting a hour at the airport and their ferry for the costly transfer to the hotel. They clearly knew we were coming but can’t seem to get cars there in time not arrange the boat departures to coincide with our arrival. The whole experience wasted almost 1 1/2 hours. Friendly enough welcome but they can’t seen to get it right. Beware that any travel off the island probably takes 45 minutes given the pace at which they arrange the transportion. And after all of that when you’d think they would want to please us but instead they tell us we can’t check into our room by 4:00 the official check In time but at 6:00 or so which they hope to do as “they’ve allowed another guest to have a late check out”. I can’t believe this. I stay in a lot of hotels but have never been told I can’t check into my room which I’ve prepaid for until 6:00 to slow another guest to star at my best expense. We have purposely been patient, ate a long lunch but can not enjoy the resort because as we can’t get into our room. Perhaps this is an isolated incident but given the evasive reasons we’re being told for the series of mess-ups I doubt it. This is en expensive resort which is supposedly five stars but I think judging by these experiences, this is poorly mangaged (under new management— good luck) and clearly not worth the money. Based on today’s experience I would strong recommend not staying here. BEWARE.
