This is the perfect place to really get away from the rat race. This is one of the best beaches at a hotel that I have experienced, as it is reserved for hotel guests only, and is so expansive that you can easily have a section of the beach to yourself, except maybe at the absolute peak times. There are plenty of sun loungers and hammocks to go around, so you don't need to feel in a rush to reserve a spot for the day. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Most, I believe, have sea views. This is not a case of looking out to sea over the resort itself. Instead, look out the window and all you will see is the sea right at your window. The crashing of the waves can always be heard in the background. We decided to upgrade ourselves to a bigger suite for a few days where we enjoyed our own terrace with hot tub, which was such a treat! Dining at the Seagrape was fab as you get to sit right by the ocean, just make sure you book in advance. Dining at the other restaurant is more underwhelming, where the decor is a bit tacky. A few small things were lacking at Curtain Bluff, like a TV in the room and tea and coffee facilities. The entertainment was also not to our liking as it was a bit corny and not really suited to a young couple, but the other guests seemed to like it! The resort is a bit overpriced but that may be the price to pay for a quieter resort.

We've just returned from a week at Curtain Bluff and it is one of the friendliest hotels we've ever stayed at. The staff are so attentive and Chelle, the owner is there all the time to make sure things run smoothly, our room looked right out on the ocean, and the food and wine were excellent. There is plenty to do with tennis, yoga, pilates, squash, kayaking, snorkelling, waterskiing all included in the price. There are no TVs in the room which we actually liked but there is good internet and the hotel put on a party for the Superbowl in one of the public rooms so we didn't miss that. Add on to this a lovely spa and you'll never want to leave the property.

First visit to this small very well run hotel ...... All the staff were first class as is the food, especially the Bouillabaisse at the lunch restaurant one of best we have eaten. The deluxe rooms are not big but they are very comfortable and just a few steps from the Surf beach . All in all a lovely hotel , we will definitely return .

We stayed at Curtain Bluff for 10 days in January, we had a great time because of the wonderful location and beach as well as the staff who are so kind and caring. The only downside was the food which is not up to five star standard; hence the reason why I have given this 5 star all inclusive resort 4 stars. So the positives - The People, all are amazing under the watchful eye of owner and manager Shelley, the staff all like her and she has a great relationship with them and the many repeating guests who come back year on year. I will list all the staff we want to say thank you too at the end. The Beach area, probably the best beach front we have ever seen in the Caribbean, always clean, very private, lots of hammocks and plenty of shade if you want. The sea was also clean and there is plenty of watersports to do for those who are into that. Activities - Four good, high quality and very clean tennis courts, as good as we have seen in any Caribbean resort, there is also squash, gym, scuba diving and lots more. Rooms - Are room was great, could do with modernisation but we enjoyed it anyway, the rooms are cleaned well daily and the turndown service is excellent. The negatives This is a expensive resort and we were disappointed with the food which was no way near 5 star, it lacked quality, flavour and choice. The breakfast was ok, a nice buffet lunch in the seagrape restaurant was also ok, but the evening meals in the main restaurant are one of the only thing that lets this resort down, no large a la carte menu and very little choice and options - when we discussed this with other guests most agreed; and some went out in the evenings - a real shame. Beverages - Cheap Sweet Rose Wine, ugh. Also the glasses the drinks are served in the bars are so small and tacky, Why not charge the guests a little more and serve the drinks in nice glasses and the wine in something better than a cheap Paris Goblet - another real shame. The evening entertainment in the main restaurant is excellent; but why do you put the singer and band behind a large tree, none of the guests knew why and they all laughed with us about it. So to summarise this resort is great and we very much enjoyed our stay, we loved the team, especially Rohan who was our go to employee - thank you Rohan. Curtain Bluff has so much potential, but they are lacking on the food and beverage side, investment required - I would suggest that the owner employs a high class general manager to sort out that area, if you do, the customers will be even more happy and you might just get more repeaters. Also promote the sous chef at Seagrape - Roderick, he's got head chef written all over. We would like to thank the following staff who looked after us - The amazing Rohan, he worked hard all day in the restaurant and nothing was too much trouble, if he ever saw something that was not right, he would deal with it. Danny, Trevor and Nigel the managers were also brilliant. In the main restaurant Joshua, Terry and Benadette. In Seagrape Marlon, Big and little Javid, Brad, Neville and Ti Shawn. As well as the two lovely chefs Roderick and Zariah - I suggest the management listen to them about more variety of food as they are good chefs. The bars, Randy, Steve, Dion and Beach bar Leon and Alvin. Our morning walk was great with Jason and Seth and Caroline on reception were lovely. We also loved the coconut man Smooth who had the most caring and relaxing attitude, all the customers loved the day when he served fresh coconuts.

This was our sixth visit to Curtain Bluff. It is absolutely the best place for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The facilities are superb. Food is amazing. Live music to enjoy and dance to, each evening. Occasional steel band at lunch. From the moment we arrived until the second we departed, we were treated like family and honored guests. The staff is warm welcoming, accommodating and professional. The rooms are well appointed and extremely comfortable. This hotel is highly, highly recommended. We will return, no doubt! Curtain Bluff is simply the BEST. BETTER than all the rest!!!!
