An unpaved road on the southeast coast of Antigua leads to Hermitage Bay, a collection of 25 villas clustered around the brilliant blue Caribbean Sea that offers a place to relax, restore and reconnect to a deeper self. Suites are airy and soothing, constructed from purpleheart, greenheart and other woods from sustainably managed forests in Guyana. Daily meditation and yoga classes, along with the natural beauty of deserted beaches, bring a sense of balance nurtured by caring staff.
NOTE: Hermitage Bay is an adult only property. Teenagers are welcome over 14 years of age but we do not run dedicated programmes for them. All our accommodations are single bedroom only and guests must be 18 years or over to stay on their own in a Villa Suite.

Easily the most amazing place Ive ever been in my LIFE. The view is indescribable, the villas are pretty well secluded, and the staff--AMAZING. We came just in time for lunch our first day and were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. Im pretty sure each member of leadership came and personally introduced themselves during our stay, offering an extra level of attention. We booked one of the hillside suites with a personal pool, and found it hard to even leave the villa for meals. This is the very definition of Heaven on Earth! The jerk chicken and ribeyes are to die for, and the sushi hour was absolutely fantastic. My husband doesn't normally like sushi, but enjoyed everything made for us by the talented sushi chefs. Augustín (probably misspelled, and for that I deeply apologize) was our chef the second night, and was so friendly and accommodating, we loved talking with and learning more about him and his journey as a chef. The drinks were STRONG (unlike typical AIs), the company was great, and overall, the trip was an absolutely phenomenal experience and introduction to the island. Thank you so much for having us!

Fabulous. Great property, food and service. Truly decadent. Great for a romantic getaway.

Stayed in December 2025 with my mom, really enjoyed the place and was warmly greeted by Jaquan who was super pleasant to talk to and helpful to get me started. The vibes in December are probably the best if you can make a booking then, because the clientele are generally people that are regulars that month. The owner is often on property as well which is always nice to see. Rachel, the GM can be found on property if you have any executive level issues. Antigua I think is mostly selling exclusivity over all else. We were at Hodges Bay and I thought that was really nice place to stay too if you wanted to do sightseeing since that's just a premium property but not all inclusive. Hermitage Bay is obviously a step up from that but so is their price point. In the Caribbean I thought Grand Cayman Indigo had the best beach access, the Aruba Hilton had the best activities, and Puerto Rico had the best mix of everything if you have a car. But Antigua is a good pick if you value small hotels and privacy. Service/ vibes We had a lovely time for 7 days through Christmas (I think 5 - 7 days is probably the best amount to stay). There's a lot of wonderful service staff at the breakfast lunch and dinner and you get to know everyone by name, such as Annette, Jillian, Elizabeth who's always there to give you a friendly hello. Shauna and Rebecca from the front desk are there to greet you in the morning as well. Important The mosquitos can get a bit much without it. They provide electric mosquito incense which isn't useful, it's a shame they don't have just regular mosquito incense. Villas Villas closer to the top have better views, I really enjoyed mine which was at the far end overlooking the ocean. You can hear crickets at night, I liked it but whether that's a plus or minus is really up to the individual. The walk out shower is a nice touch, but hot water for your tub might be limited. Meals I thought the meals were nice but I hear they were better in the past from guests that have gone for many years (who also mostly go in December). The lamb / octopus was my favorite of the dishes. Grab a coconut if they have one available. Activities Yoga class with Karen and the other instructor was fun as well in their new yoga studio, just use your mosquito spray the hotel offers. The snorkeling tour was included when I was there, the waters are hit or miss, it was a miss in December but a hit in March. If you're bored and want to leave for a bit there's a hill next door for some outdoor paved hiking

We have been all over the Carribean and been to many all inclusives but the Hermitage has set the mark as the best we've ever been to. While most all inclusives set out buffets for breakfast and lunch, the Hermitage provides a fine dining experience for every meal. From the moment we arrived, we could see that this resort was different. The staff is dedicated to making your stay as pleasurable as possible. Rachael, the GM oversees a fantastic staff of servers, front desk, groundskeepers (who will happily identify any of the beautiful flowers and trees on the grounds), room staff (who provided turn down service nightly) and bartenders that are beyond compare. From our daily visits from Simone, the lovely lady keeping our cocktails full to Kyle, the young man who kept the grounds neat and clean while helping out wherever needed. The front desk staff was also lovely and helpful whenever we needed a taxi or advice on where to shop and attractions to visit. The room (in our case a beachfront villa) was absolutely gorgeous with a very beautiful piece of driftwood on the beach just made for photos. The sunsets were something out of a movie and the nightly sushi hour was a real showstopper, with the sushi chef hand making each dish for every guest. The dinner menu changed nightly with the Carribean night being a real standout. There is snorkelingand water sports included with the all inclusive and the reefs do not disappoint. We usually like to roam around a new location while on vacation but the resort was so welcoming and comfortable that we left only to attend the day trip we had already booked. I was truly sad to leave on the last day and will be counting the days until we return. Thanks so much to Susan's Travel in Westfield NJ for setting us up with this resort and a special thanks again to Rachael and her wonderful staff. You guys really knocked it out of the park.

Hermitage Bay made our Antigua trip truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until check out, every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. The reception team, housekeeping, wait staff, and even the buggy service were all genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive — the kind of hospitality that’s rare to find and makes a place feel special. The owner of the hotel truly has a wonderful team of staff. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and private, with stunning views and an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The all-inclusive dining was a great experience from start to finish — every meal was excellent, and even sushi hour was something we looked forward to each day. The beach was pristine, and everything felt thoughtful and seamless. What stood out most was how personal and caring the experience felt. I even accidentally left my diamond ring in the safe when we checked out, and the staff immediately contacted us to make sure we got it back. That level of honesty and attentiveness says everything about the people there. You can truly tell the staff care about their guests and take pride in creating an amazing stay. We left already wanting to come back. Highly recommend Hermitage Bay to anyone looking for a luxury Caribbean escape with exceptional service from start to finish.

We found the hotel to be one of the best we have ever encountered. It's peaceful, it's well run, staff go out of their way to be helpful/friendly but not in a way that you think it's a burden.
