Cocobay Resort in Saint Mary's, Antigua and Barbuda

There is no dividing line between the paradise inside the cottages of Cocobay Resort and the paradise outside – fling open the patio door and let a breeze flow from the aquamarine Caribbean waters over the rustic wood floors and through the crisp white linens of your sleeping quarters. Adirondack chairs anchor a permanent sunbathing spot on the terrace of this waterfront all-inclusive that is equally secluded and connected to life in town.

Slip your toes into floury white sand and let the sun melt away any tension in your shoulders. Float in crystalline waters. Return to dry land for a guided nature walk through the lush hillside with a local medicine man, learning about the healing properties of plants and herbs. Dine on rock shrimp and toast the sunset as waves crash on the rocks below.

Having not long returned from our lovely holiday at Coco Bay.This year was some what different as we encountered hurricane Irma and hurricane Jose.Have to say all the staff at Coco Bay were wonderful! We were suddenly evacuated from Coco Bay as the cottages there are all individual and made of wood therefore unsafe for us to remain there as Irma was on her way!It was like a military operation.ONeil the manager kept everyone calm giving precise instructions to all the guests, even the owner of the hotel Frazer was there making sure that all his guests were safe and understood excatley what was going on.The hotel provided a packed evening meal and breakfast for us,also water and torches. What supprised me the most was we were evacuated to the other side of the island approximatley 50 minutes away and at one point I saw and heard the chef saying to one of his kitchen staff "come on we have to get out of here" they were still delivering meals to the guests from Coco Bay.They then had a 50 minute drive back to the other side of the island and to make sure their homes and family were safe!! Well done to all of you at Coco Bay-would I go back in September-YES!! John the Tree Surgeon

We stayed at the Cocobay Resort from the 31 Aug to 10 September 2017. This was during the time of Hurricanes Irma & Jose There is no need for me to reiterate how wonderfully the management reacted in caring for our safety during these Hurricanes , as the previous reviewer said it all & I would 100% concur . I would instead like to concentrate on our wonderful relaxing holiday, at this truly amazing resort. From the moment we arrived & were warmly greeted with cocktails by the Resorts receptionists, we were instantly drawn into a relaxing world of calm & quiet. We knew we had made the right choice. The individual Air conditioned cabin, with plunge pool was a joy to behold, all immaculately clean, wonderfully comfortable beds, with mosquito netting, just exactly as shown in both management & guest photos. As this was a fully inclusive holiday, we ate all our meals at the Resort. From breakfast, Lunch, Tea, & four course Dinner the food was flawless, wonderful variety and different choice of food every day, whether you are a vegetarian, non-meat eater, whatever, there is something for you. The chef or his staff will even adapt or make something specially for you, nothing is too much trouble. Each individual cabin, and everywhere you go has mind boggling views of the local scenery. The resorts beaches are immaculately clean, we didn’t avail ourselves of them on this holiday , but we will next time! For sheer relaxation the 2 swimming pools are sublime, usually warm & very clean. Plenty of good shade and comfy pool lounge beds for everyone, quite often the staff will get your drinks, ice creams whatever you hearts desire. I cannot find enough praise or superlatives for the staff at Cocobay, from the pleasant & efficient Manager O’neil, to waiters/waitresses ,receptionists, Bar staff, Cabin cleaners ,& everyone else (special praise here for the truly outstanding Sonia who does the morning omelettes for you - she’ll know you by name in no time) There is much more that we didn’t utilise, such as a massage, and Spa treatment, and sightseeing tours (Due only to Hurricane Irma) that will wait for next time! In short Cocobay is nothing less than Paradise, if you want to get away from it all, chill out, relax, & wind down, there is no finer place I can think of, & I have been travelling for more than 50 years

My husband, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law stayed at Cocobay Resort from 2 - 12 September 2017. We were in The Plantation House F1 and F2. It consists of two cottages with a joint living room. The views were amazing. I could lie in bed looking out over the veranda to the beach and surrounding hills. The staff were brilliant (especially management) in their organisation when Hurricane Irma came. They arranged for us to be relocated to a brick built hotel - Nonsuch Bay on the other side of the island. They transferred us by minibus and provided an evening meal and breakfast and then co-ordinated our return the following day only to be relocated when Hurrucane Jose came. They provided free wi-fi for us to contact relatives. The whole relocation was conducted in an extremely organised manner as we were all very concerned and hadn't experienced this ever before (they obviously had)! I would recommend Cocobay Resort as an exceptional hotel to stay in.

Hi, It's Pete and Pam from our February Winter stay in the Pepper Pot. We hope you are all safe and hoping Hurricane Irma was gentle on you all. We had a great time and we are so looking forward to coming back for our 5-year anniversary. Miss everybody!

My partner and I stayed here a couple of years back (I thought I wrote a review) and where attending a friends wedding. We had the pleasure of staying for 2 weeks and it was absolute bliss. The food was amazing, it was out first all inclusive and we were skeptical as we know it can be hit and miss but there was variety upon variety everyday and the evening menu changed everyday. Staff were friendly and always made sure we were happy. Views and pools are amazing. The cottage we stayed in was just perfect, the balcony gave us the most perfect view of the ocean and the bed was very comfortable. I would go back tomorrow if I could. If you are considering a trip to Antigua.... please stay at Cocobay Resort!
