Cocobay Resort in Saint Mary's, Antigua and Barbuda
There is no dividing line between the paradise inside the cottages of Cocobay Resort and the paradise outside – fling open the patio door and let a breeze flow from the aquamarine Caribbean waters over the rustic wood floors and through the crisp white linens of your sleeping quarters. Adirondack chairs anchor a permanent sunbathing spot on the terrace of this waterfront all-inclusive that is equally secluded and connected to life in town.
Slip your toes into floury white sand and let the sun melt away any tension in your shoulders. Float in crystalline waters. Return to dry land for a guided nature walk through the lush hillside with a local medicine man, learning about the healing properties of plants and herbs. Dine on rock shrimp and toast the sunset as waves crash on the rocks below.

Reviews for Cocobay Resort
The service was lovely.O'Neal and Nasasha were outstanding. They were so personable. Nasasha organized dinner on the beach, all our transportation, a couple's massage. O'Neal greeted us every day and sent a lovely evening snack to our room the night before we checked out. The property was beautiful, very clean, and the rooms were nicely appointed. The villas by the water had gorgeous views. The food was delicious. Lots of choices at every meal. Sheer Rock is not to be missed

What a destination! If you are looking for a wonderful, quiet getaway as a couple then this is the place. I will say I think it is worth getting the rooms with a splash pool as that adds to the experience but not essential. The view from your bed out to your verandah, the humming birds and then out to sea is once in a lifetime stuff. We have been to many places around the world and this is one of the most romantic. Whether you want to stay by the pool that has the main bar by it and a view that is unparalleled especially when it comes to the sunset or the lower pool just off from the beach, this is beautiful. The scenery is better than the photos! The food is plentiful, it is a nice 3 course a la carte in the evening and a buffet for lunch with plenty to choose from and if you get really stuff just request something different and they will make it for you but you shouldnât need to as the choice was great at all times. The experiences are great too. Everyone we spoke to said they had great trip experiences. I would suggest you use the guys on the beach they are cheaper than the hotel and 100% fine no problems at all. They become great friends with you whilst you are staying there. We did the catamaran tour for the day which was gorgeous, great fun and great swimming locations. What a holiday!

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon at Cocobay! We have been together for 13 years + this was our first vacation without family or friends. I researched resorts in Antigua for months prior to booking. Needless to say, expectations were very high. As soon as we arrived we were greeted at the airport by a driver arranged through the resort (a perk of booking directly with the hotel). He was very friendly + professional. However, the drive from the airport to resort did pull on my heart strings because of all the stray dogs roaming the streets (someone should really start a massive animal shelter + spay/neuter clinic there). AnywayâŠback to my review! Once we arrived we were welcomed by the lovely women at the front (sorry I forgot way too many names) + OâNeal, the manager who was super helpful, professional and intelligent. Craig walked us to our room and he was absolutely divine! We had a bottle of champagne, hard alcohol, and a fully stocked fridge. Rooms: Our room was one of the newest Premium Water Front Suites + it was truly exceptional. The one minor flaw we had with our room was that we had 0 sun on our balcony which made for a very chilly dip into the plunge pull. My #1 request was lots of sun on the balcony. That being said, the room was romantic, clean, and beautifully tropic so we looked past that. We even let the front desk know + they were beyond gracious in offering us a new room. No chance! We grew way too attached to our stunning cottage ï Resort: The resort itself was STUNNING. When choosing a resort, the last thing I wanted was a commercialized property with tons of people everywhere. I wanted something private that looked natural + untouched by human hands. Cocobay checked both of those boxes. There are two swimming pools, both are striking. Grounds are very well kept. There are 2 bars on the property. One is a small bar located closest to the beach, it is here that they offer their famous Paninis! The mahi mahi panini was absolutely outstanding. The second bar, the main bar, is called rafters. We spent a majority of our time here. Literally ANY drink you wanted, they could make! My husband and I became especially fond of Oriole (spell check), Tony + Karissa âshorty.â The 3 of them went above and beyond for us. Food: The most important review⊠FOOD! Breakfast is buffet style- fresh fruit, egg station, etc. (the woman running this station is perfection by the way). Lunch was also buffet style. If you didnât want to partake in the buffet, you could ask for the âchef specialâ, or head to the beach bar for a panini. Dinner was a sit down 4 course meal each night. Food was lovely. I live on restaurant row, downtown Chicago, so I am extremely picky about food. I was not expecting it to be so delicious! My only request is that in the near future, they mix up their genre of food for either lunch or dinner. There were always lots of options + something different each night which was amazing! But by the end of the week I was really missing American + Mexican food. Our siblings bought us a romantic beach dinner. This is an option on Cocobayâs website. You can pre-book or book at the hotel. Our dinner was run by a man named Z. He was wonderful, the set up was lovely and the food was great! However, we were just a little disappointed for the price that it was the exact same menu as the restaurant. Just a small tip for staff in the future ï The Spa: I booked a Swedish massage and it was AMAZING. The most extraordinary view + at the end of the massage I was given a beautiful braid + glass of champagne. Enough said. Just one example of how far the staff will go for youâŠI was sent a package from Australia. It arrived and was held up at customs. When I thought all hope was lost, Danesha and her team pulled strings so that I got my package! Overall this is a truly beautiful resort, the people who run it become family, and we canât wait to get back! Side note: we absolutely fell head over heels for the island kitties Jasmie and Bringo. If you are thinking about booking DO IT!
My husband and I recently has our honeymoon at Cocobay and it was the best decision we could have made. I think the stand out positive for us were the staff, they were incredibly friendly, and couldn't do more to help us. They made us feel welcome and part of their family. The hotel itself is brilliant, our room was lovely, the different pool areas are great. The food was brilliant, we booked through the hotel directly, so did not have to pay for the supplements at dinner. There was a variety of choice every night and it was all delicious. There was also a large choice at Breakfast and Lunch and we were never hungry. Cocobay was exactly what we needed at the end of 2017, and we felt incredibly relaxed by the end of the holiday. We can't wait to book our next trip.

My wife and two adult daughters were headed to St. Martin for a New Year's vacation, and then the hurricane altered our plans. We needed to quickly make alternate plans, so after some brief research, we settled on the Cocobay Resort on an island we had never visited. But let me tell you that this place is fabulous and well worth the price. Let's start with Oneal, the general manager. His disposition sets the tone for all of the staff. Oneal is gracious, confident, generous, and so very accommodating. We loved that guy. The grounds are fabulous as are the cottages. We were in one of about four that have two bedrooms. We understand Caribbean resorts. We are not looking for the Four Seasons. We understand simplicity and comfort, and Cocobay met our expectations. There are two infinity pools plus a very nice beach adjacent to the property. We skipped around and managed to enjoy all. The views of the sea are spectacular. This all inclusive property serves three meals a day,and all meals were very good. We also enjoyed good wine and drinks while there. The wine upgrades are reasonably priced but were not really necessary as the house wines are good although not great. We have never encountered a staff of folks who are as nice and gracious as we found at Cocobay. We love this place and will be back.
