Cocobay Resort

My wife and I recently spent six nights at Cocobay for our honeymoon, and we absolutely loved our stay. We would gladly return and confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Caribbean vacation or honeymoon. The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. One of our biggest surprises was how much we enjoyed the beaches. The sand was soft, with some shells around parts of the coastline, the water was clear and had minimal seaweed washing ashore, and the waves were gentle enough to swim and relax comfortably each day. There were always plenty of beach chairs available (although they were plastic and not the most comfortable), and while you might need to shift around occasionally to stay in the shade, there was almost always a pleasant breeze. The beaches were peaceful and never felt overcrowded. We also felt very safe throughout our stay. The local vendors were friendly and respectful. They might ask once if you were interested in an excursion or souvenir, but they were never pushy or persistent if you declined. The food exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and customizable each morning. Lunch at Rafters was consistently well prepared, with enough variety that it never felt repetitive. We also enjoyed dining at the Cliffside Restaurant twice during our stay and appreciated the elevated menu, presentation, and atmosphere. Dinner each evening was a highlight, featuring a mix of authentic Caribbean flavors and familiar American favorites. Portions were generous, meals were thoughtfully prepared, and the four-course dinner service felt special every night. We also appreciated that gluten-free options were available for guests with dietary restrictions. The coffee bar was another pleasant surprise. They offered a variety of espresso-based drinks, including flat whites, lattes, and oat milk options. The syrups appeared to be store-bought rather than house-made, and while the beans were fresh, they weren't quite specialty coffee quality. Still, it was much better coffee than we expected to find at an all-inclusive resort. The bars were also good. The bartenders knew how to make a variety of cocktails, and while the liquor selection was mostly mid-tier with limited premium upgrades, the drinks were consistently enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the rum cocktails. The frozen drinks, including the piña coladas, were fantastic, and adding a floater of English Harbour Rum made them even better. The two pools were spacious, very clean, had a few floating mats to lay on. There is always adequate chairs to lounge on, but it did get hot and it was not very much shade/cover during the hottest hours of the day. We stayed in one of the plunge pool cottages, and it was exactly as advertised. Having our own private plunge pool was one of the highlights of the trip. The room was comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. We loved being able to shower with the doors open while still maintaining privacy. The bed was slightly on the softer side, but the pillows and linens were excellent. Between the cottage, the balcony views, and the comfortable lounge chairs, we genuinely enjoyed spending time in the room as much as we enjoyed exploring the resort. For those who like to stay active, there is a small fitness studio with dumbbells, an exercise bike, and a rowing machine. It was more than enough for me to get in a few workouts during our stay. What truly set Cocobay apart, however, was the staff. There was always a friendly face available to answer questions or help with anything we needed. We never felt like a burden, and the team consistently went out of their way to accommodate requests with genuine warmth and hospitality. A quick tip for future guests: bring small denomination bills if you plan to tip. Tipping is not expected, but we chose to recognize some of the team members who made our stay especially memorable. Julisa, Shawnann, Trev, Jermaine, and many others were incredibly kind, welcoming, and took the time to get to know us throughout the week. Overall, we felt that Cocobay provided excellent value for the experience. Between the beautiful setting, wonderful staff, great food, comfortable accommodations, and relaxed atmosphere, it was everything we hoped for in a honeymoon destination. We left with wonderful memories and hope to return someday.

Staying in the LC suite and can’t recommend enough

Exceptional all inclusive and adult only resort! The atmosphere was very relaxing and the rooms were amazing! I love the menu pool options as well multiple beach access. You could easily enjoy yourself without ever leaving the resort if you wanted to. Scheduling activities from the resort was also a breeze. The food was delicious and the menu changed daily. The staff really round it all out. Everyone was courteous and willing to assist with any needs.

WOW, my husband & I just loved every single moment of our stay at Cocobay! Our cottage was so spacious and comfortable. The facilities of the hotel were amazing, lovely gardens. pools, private beach but also easy access to 2 other beaches. The food in the main restaurant was exceptional and also the dining experience in their cliffside restaurant for lunch was brilliant! The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and so helpful in all aspects of our vacation. Thank you so much to ALL members of staff in the bar and restaurant and coffee shop. After just 3 days, we decided we would be definitely be coming back! I enjoyed the use of paddle boarding from the hotel and my husband did 3 morning dive excursions organised via the hotel. We also did a wonderful trip to Barbuda by plane and private boat charter organised by the hotel. Thanks so much to everyone at Coco bay for your hospitality…Alison & Carlx
