Hermitage Bay in Saint Mary's, Antigua and Barbuda

An unpaved road on the southeast coast of Antigua leads to Hermitage Bay, a collection of 25 villas clustered around the brilliant blue Caribbean Sea that offers a place to relax, restore and reconnect to a deeper self. Suites are airy and soothing, constructed from purpleheart, greenheart and other woods from sustainably managed forests in Guyana. Daily meditation and yoga classes, along with the natural beauty of deserted beaches, bring a sense of balance nurtured by caring staff.

Match your breath to the breeze rustling through fragrant frangipiani and oleander. Go for a swim among coral fish and dine in a grove of almond trees on a salad from the kitchen’s own organic produce garden. Gaze out at the silhouettes of Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis on the horizon while sipping a glass of prosecco.

My first choice Caribbean holiday. People are amazing and the food was high quality but healthy at the same time. Beautiful location and shabby chic accommodation - which is my style. Highly recommend it to couples and Honeymooners.

I've been in the hospitality business for 25 years. I have been to a lot of nice hotels around the globe and I have to say this is number one for sure. We came to celebrate our 20th anniversary and it was just what we needed! From the second we arrived, we were pampered. Literally, walked in, sat down looking out at the water and received drinks and a few food items while they checked us in. The scenery, the food and staff blew away trips to Hawaii and Tahiti! I honestly can't say enough about our experience, every person there went well beyond a paycheck, they truly wanted to make sure it was the best experience possible. If your on the fence, do it! And get the pool suite! We went back and forth but the privacy and sitting in that pool watching the sunset is as close to heaven as you can get.

Best location tucked in the hill, golf carts pick u up from room , rest. changes menu daily on lunch and dinner menu & chef "Sugar" conrad james IS A GENIUS!! the food was best in the carribean yet! I have to elaborate on the staff for a minute: Hands down I feel like I met extended family, lets begin- Miss vera ( auntie vera) welcomes u and took care of us from start to finish - there was no request too small! Mekel ( my bestie and sister now) is so lovely and sweet and ryan is also at the front desk and is amazing- then to the bar - anthony, mervin and miss linda make u feel like ok the reunion has begun, drinks are great! to the beach- geron (soft G is what i call em , tell em "MISHI" says hello) and jamol take care of ur every need while on the beach and if you feel like sailing or taking the boat ride to snorkel ( even though u can right off the beach) Devon and michael will take care of u at the end of the beach with water sports. some names from the wait staff are Jilian and sandy, norville and kempton and orane and lorretta to name a few that are so personable and friendly .the golf cart drivers are jermal, marc and kadeem they are so cool and take you anywhere u wanna go and funny as anything! lol We took a helicopter tour over to Barbuda 20 minute flight with lucas (set up thru resort) about $385 per person and you get a great lunch with JALA at the outpost rest, no one else was there and the sand is pink and we also went on the bird sanctuary tour from barbuda all included in the price. you land right on the beach!!!! I really wish i could put into words how much i loved this place and resort and people , but there really isnt any words to describe it and ive been to 7 countries and this by far exceeded all of them just because the people and view and food!

This was one of the best place we stayed out. The staff is wonderful, the food is amazing, and the view from the room was spectacular! I highly recommend staying here and experiencing it all. You will not be disappointed.

Definitely recommend this resort. Very secluded and they will make arrangements for any island adventures! I will definitely be back!! Came with my daughter but this is also definitely a place for couples.
