The property is fine, nice luxury condos. Just too far from Cabo de San Lucas which is the main entertainment city and beaches. I hope they will start running some shuttle to the city or to the beach. Cant swim on their beach and no real entertainment on the cites make it inconveniently distant from fun and swimming beaches. Other then that I liked the condos, the spa should be free for people who staying in the hotel. Also, swimming pool water temperature was so cold, nobody could swim in there.

The resort is beautiful. The rooms were great, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping was on point. However, this is far from a four-star service resort. The food restaurants very overpriced and very underwhelming. (In fact, I’m sure I got food poisoning.) The drinks are strong enough and fair priced. However, if you’re looking for a place with fantastic service, excellent pools, and just a place to stay for a week (without a car), you might want to check elsewhere. If you were looking at renting out one of the condos, it might be a great opportunity.

continuing my review.... despite request at booking for 2 double beds, we arrived and were given a room with one queen. We were first told that there was NO room in the complex with two double beds; then, It took several hours before they managed to give us a mediocre room with two beds that had the aforementioned security issues. Dining was mediocre and very few options, esp for room service

Nice hotel with a very “community” feel, situated between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with tequila shots. And then they proceeded to continue offering us shots while we waited to check in. Definitely not necessary but a nice gesture. Booked an oceanfront double room but was upgraded to a large “romantic” suite. We debated this upgrade initially as we wanted the two beds but once we saw the beautiful view from the terrace and the large infinity jacuzzi that’s on the terrace, we opted to stay in the upgraded room vs move to a double (stayed in Rm 2305). Large, clean room w/spacious closet and bathroom. Very friendly staff at Casa Del Mar. And the other guests are also very friendly. This was one thing we really enjoyed about the hotel. Food and drinks are decent however the service around the hotel (pool bar, checkin, checkout) is incredibly slow. All in all... a good stay. Just remember to: 1) leave plenty of time for checking out... at least until the hotel implements a more efficient checkin/checkout process; 2) be prepared for a timeshare sales pitch, regardless of how you booked/paid for your room. No issue on that though as we quickly shut down any discussion around that and expressed that we weren’t interested in any free things in exchange for sitting through a “presentation;” and 3) don’t book the overpriced hotel shuttle to/from the airport. Other shuttles available through Expedia or other travel sites are much more affordable and work just as well.

Beautiful small resort with great beach, pools, food, and views of the sea. Short drive from San Jose airport. Nice mixture of guests at hotel. Guests can take advantage of golf, tennis and spa. Wonderful breakfast buffet, lunch by the pool and dinner in the lovely dining room or on the porch! Staff was terrific!
