The hotel was perfect for our get a way! Beautiful ocean front rooms just steps from the water. The accommodations were wonderful, very clean and comfortable. The TV selections could improve but we were not there for TV so wasn't a problem for us. The Food was very good, the staff superb! I really appreciated the respect they gave us when we declined the offer for the time share presentation. We will go back!!!!

Beautiful blue water with white sand dominates the view. This is a resort for relaxing- fortunately there did not seem to be a "party" atmosphere. If you want that, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. This is a more sophisticated crowd.

Good location on the corridor almost directly across from Cabo Real golf course. Beautiful grounds and views. Condition of the rooms and the common areas is top notch. Food is very good quality and the Sunday brunch and the Beach Grill night were both fun and exciting adventures made even better with live music and friendly people. As others have noted, a top quality "boutique" hotel Here are the things that prevented me from giving the property 5 stars 1. They are still pusing the timeshare sales, though we avoided that by being VERY firm (not interested) the first time asked. 2. As is common along the corridor, cost of transportation to Cabo or to San Jose is not cheap unless you take the bus. 3. Our room had water and coffee packets in it when we arrived and we were told those would be refreshed daily. After a couple of days, we were told that those were part of the "welcome package" and that no more would be provided. 4. Food and drink service by the pool is painfully slow... like really REALLY slow... 5. This is a biggie...there is no store or shop for any sundries or ANYthing...so if you need anything, you need to walk or cab to the Hilton down the way or go further to a local store. Bottom line...I have stayed here and at the Hilton which is close by. Both are beautiful properties and have very nice rooms with great views. I think Casa del Mar has a majority of rooms with Ocean view where Hilton has more that might not have the view. I would prefer the Hilton with a view room due to the abundance of dining amenities, the swimming area where it is safe to swim in the ocean (not available at Casa del Mar) and the store and coffee shop. Casa del Mar was a nice stay, but there are better options for the price

Pros--The staff made all the difference! They are, without fail, friendly, helpful, accommodating and make every attempt to make your stay an experience that will bring you back! The views are spectacular and the beach is beautiful. While beach swimming was not allowed nearby, there are plenty of places to go if you want to do that sort of thing. I loved that it was quiet and uncrowded; perfect for reflection and relaxation. So peaceful! We had breakfast daily at the resort and it was always wonderful. Accomodating selection whether you wanted to indulge or are more health conscious. We had no complaints about our room at all. One great effort they made was that I had asked about buying a larger bottle of their hand/body lotion which smells wonderful and has oil in it for my Colorado skin. They did not have a shop open where they would sell it (I think that is in the future) so they gave me 4 bottles of the room-size samples. I was thrilled! I even tried to pay for it but they refused to accept anything for it! Cons--the persistent time share pushers were quite annoying. But we have gotten used to that. After three (or four) tries, they stopped pursuing us.

This hotel is clean, safe and I love the decor. It is Smaller than the giant mega hotels that I don't really care for yet you still have a spa and pool service, full restaurant and bar. Loved my stay here. Reasonably priced as well.
