Overall, I was not WOW'd by my stay. The name itself "Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort and Spa" there is Golf at this location. The Presenter's to sale membership was a horrible experience (No means No). Our suite was everything

Wedding and stay review

For rooms book the reserve club oceanview suite. Worth the extra $$these rooms are 10x nicer and the best margaritas at club lounge. Do not book the family suites. They are run down. The wedding team does an amazing job. Ray and his people work very hard. The wedding package is a good value. The hair and make up ladies are great. Spa 5 of 5. This property does a wedding or 2 each night. I brought a suitcase full of special items and Ray got everything right. They are understaffed. So some of our items didn't happen. Private bar for cocktail hour was not there. We had 1 waiter for 57 people running back and forth to a bar that was far away. We had expected a portable bar that our guests could walk up to. Ask before hand for everyone to be served champagne for bride and groom toast on beach. We did ceremony on the beach and cocktail hour on the beach with reception by the pool. We liked the privacy and intimacy of the pool reception area. If you can afford to add the night before bonfire do it. All our guests thought that was really fun. Do both the snacks and open bar. It was worth it. We added the sparklers at the end of the special couple dance. That was great. The wedding meal was ok. Many of the steaks were rare inside. I only ate the outside of mine. The shrimp were good. I am gluten free and requested a special gluten free meal. I was brought the soup with a large crouton in it that was regular bread. Didn't eat it. No GF dessert. People liked the churro bar. Wedding cake was pretty but dry. So a 3 of 5 for food. Kate the florist did a expert job.. 5 iof 5 Encore the DJ. Service 5 of 5. We added the Chinese lanterns -beautiful. We used the resort vendors. Haven't seen the photos yet so can't comment on blue spot photo. He didn't seem to know how to arrange people or give instructions. So hoping we get a few good shots. As for the property Don't have high expectations of the food or drinks. Its hit and miss and I would suggest ordering several dishes at each meal.Dont order the tuna in squid ink, husband got sick from this dish. Expect Olive Garden level. Coco cafe best coffee.Breakfast buffet good.Oceano best dinner. Great for a wedding or going to one . Beautiful views. Nice pool. Also, We did the snorkel boat tour through Amstar with shuttle-5 of 5. Very lux. Taxi expensive. Don't book fishing trip. A rip off. Resort also will charge you $20 per person to cook fish.

A really great stay

I typically book the resorts for our travels but for this particular trip we were tagging along with another couple and just booked where they told us to. I didn't actually look at the reviews here on TA until the week before we went. The reviews were consistently negative and I began to get nervous about what we were in for. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Our overall stay was wonderful; just be aware of ways to improve your stay. Go early to save a pool chair - tip the security guards and they will take good care of you. They are limited in pool towels- grab a few extra early in the day and don't let go of them. The food was just ok - but that is expected at an all inclusive resort. This food was on par with most all inclusive's I have been to. Eat a good breakfast- that is the best meal. You can't get in the ocean but that isn't the resorts fault. It would be unsafe to do so. However, it is gorgeous so sit and enjoy it. Some servers, especially pool side, were great. Some were not. We enjoyed the adults only pool the most, but were sad we couldn't see the ocean well from there. The room was fine - its not luxury and its not brand new - but it was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I really enjoyed the little coffee shop downstairs- we got coffee there every morning and gelato every night.

My son had his wedding here. It was a very memorable stay. Staff, even with the language difference were very attentive; always a smile! The wedding was totally a dream wedding!!

We wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We checked in at the preferred club. Check went smoothly. I was in room 522, my sister in 523 and my father had 2 oceanfront rooms. Our father’s room needed to be changed after the first night because he was in 301. The lighting was very dark in the hallways and you had the smell from the garbage located on that side of the hotel. His room was run down, the railing and paint was peeling from the balcony. They changed his room the following day to 3302. Which was much nicer. Our rooms were nice and well kept. House cleaning was amazing. We went to diner the first night and the staff was friendly however the food was not edible. We ordered fish and couldn’t eat it. We ate out the next few nights in San Jose del Cabo, which was beautiful. We did excursions every day and came back to hotel and enjoyed the adult pool. Which was nice and relaxing. We tried the Italian restaurant another night and it was disappointing. Truthfully we only enjoyed the breakfast at world cafe every morning. Other than that we only ordered the guacamole and chips and chicken quesadillas poolside for lunch every day. We went out for dinners every night off the property. We went to the spa one day and had the best massage by Jocelyn. Unfortunately the sauna, steam room and whirlpool weren’t working to their full potential. When asked we were told it was broken. Spa needs TLC. Overall, we wouldn’t come back. The rooms were nice but other than that the hotel needs major updates and the food and drinks were terrible. My sister stayed here and few years ago and thought it has definitely changed since being taken over by the Hyatt.
