I don't usually write reviews, but this place deserves a review 100%. I wish there was more than 5 stars. I booked our Anniversary trip through Costco Travel, and I was trying to make it special for the both of us. I contacted the hotel prior to our arrival and Liliana at the front desk helped me answer so many questions and also helped me book a romantic dinner by the beach and a spa appointment. All of this before I was even there. Since the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Ramiro in the front desk and Rodolfo with our luggage, whom by the way brought us some mint-lime refreshing drinks. They made us feel like celebrities. After check in, our room was not ready since we got there early, but they invited us to enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants. We decided to go to Vista Ballenas where we were greeted by Adriana, whom by the way is so sweet, always smiling and constantly checking on you to make sure you are taken care of. She needs a special shout out, due to the fact that you can tell she really enjoys what she does. Vista ballenas was our favorite restaurant, the service was amazing every time we ate there, I want to specially thank Mari, Juvencio, both Diegos, Blanca and Omar the manager. They all treated us amazing every time we ate there! They put us in one of their junior suites, and it was great, hot tub with jets, walk-in shower, his and hers sink, king size bed, breathtaking view, and balcony. I would like to mention "Sakke" restaurant too, if you can wake up early, go to the front desk and make a reservation for a table so they can cook in front of you. The food is great but the service was better, and you can get to know people that are seating next to you. Edgar the server was really nice and very accomodating. (Try the tempura ice cream). "Dos Mares" restaurant was amazing too, their ceviches are the best ceviches I have ever tried. Being latino, I have tried ceviche from my native country and here in the states, but that was definitely the best. Try their Yucatan and their Baja ceviche are the best, Marco was the greatest and he took care of us. You can lay by the pool and they can bring the order to you. I cannot leave out the 24 hour room service, all the activities (pino-pong tournaments, beach volleyball everyday, pool volleyball, etc) and the activities staff is amazing, always trying for you to have fun. They would come and invite you to play everytime getting you hyped and pumped. So cool! I will recommend this resort 100% to friends and family. The construction is not even noticeable from the other side or the middle of the hotel. The other convenient detail is that it is in the corridor, so you will get the peaceful and relaxing side of cabo. You can easily go to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. We took the bus to both ends, it was easy and cheaper ($2/person) than a cab ($35.00 one way). Overall, we had an amazing time. We have been to other resorts in Cabo and Purto Vallarta, but Marquis is "The Whole Enchilada'! Thanks to everyone that made us feel like very special and important. Thank you to all the staff, you guys rock!

Adriana hostess at the Vista Ballenas for breakfast was the sweetest and most accommodating member of the restaurant staff. She greeted us every morning with a smile. Tania and Karla provided us with excellent service as well. By the pool, Mario, DJ Johnny and Katrina were always fun, friendly and helpful. Johnny especially had us dancing to our favorite music and Mario suggested a few alternatives for dinner which we took advantage of and were 100% pleased that we did. We will definitely return!

My husband and I stayed at the Marquis for a week back in November of 2017. It was a belated honeymoon/30th birthday combo celebration. I have to start off by saying how incredibly professional and personable the staff are including Karina. She lead almost all of the daily activities including volleyball, target shooting, quarterback challenge and even took us out to go bar hopping in Cabo San Lucas. There was so much to do at the resort throughout the day that we were never bored in between swims and naps by the pool. The staff serving drinks and food by the pool were so friendly and worked extremely hard to make sure everyone had what they needed before they even thought of it. Even though it's all inclusive, I recommend bringing cash to tip folks too. The resort itself is really pretty with ocean views everywhere you look and it's a short five minute walk to the beach where you can swim in the ocean. There was some construction to the far left of the resort but they were able to move us and we could barely hear it toward the right side of the hotel (looking at the ocean). For an all inclusive, the food was very tasty and I can't say enough about the 24 hour room service. I hope to go back again soon. Thanks again to Karina, Mario Lopez and Johnny for all the laughs and good times!

First the good... nice beach, resort a shade dated but in nice shape. Food was to pretty good. We ordered in a lot and at staring at the ocean and all the order in food was good to very good. The very good was the ceviche. I had bowls and bowls of it over the days we were there. The Asian restaurant and sitting at the grill table was ok but the food was cooked with margarine which was kind of odd.. hadn't had it in years and years and it effected the flavor. Portions of food were good. All in all above average for an all inclusive. Resort very quiet despite construction next door. They honored our request and moved us to the complete other side away from it and it was super quiet. We had a casita, nice view, off to the side on the ground floor and it was very relaxing. Nice people, good service, speedy and pretty good quality. The not as good.. Had a sink literally fall out of it's counter in our bathroom. They came in cleaned it up and didn't replace it. Left the pipe wide open, pretty unappealing. No explanation, no replacement. No reason it would fall. Pretty odd. Being off to the side, right in front of us was this drainage pool coming off the hill filled with black sludge. It was run off from up the hill and water was coming down all the time and filling this "pool". It was pretty ugly and smelled a couple times. We couldn't see it unless we stood up or left to go watch the beach but it was there and unattractive. The last day, a couple guys were out on the beach digging a trench to drain it which sort of worked but not entirely. I don't know what this "pool" contains but it's not something I wish was there next to our high priced casita. It did take away from the experience. All in all a very good trip. A little dated but good food, great ceviche, nice people, very quiet, nice beach.

Some issues at check in that they did not have a king bed available as booked, and I had upgraded our room - however could not see any difference from the other rooms. You must sign a waiver stating you will not enter the water at the beach. The construction noise from next door starts in the early morning and goes until dark - it was not relaxing. The noise from the ocean waves helped to drown out the noise from the very busy highway that this resort is on. The food and restaurant choices are minimal. The food and entertainment are just not at the same level as other all inclusive resorts. This resort has many pools, however only one is heated. We really wanted to be in the infinity pool overlooking the ocean - one of the unheated pools. This probably is not an issue in August. The gym needs more equipment - there are only two treadmills and always a line up of people wanting to use. On a more positive note worth mentioning Corinna at the breakfast restaurant - she is a ray of sunshine, as well as Edgar at the sushi restaurant for outstanding service. The poolside restaurant has great ceviche!
