Marquis Los Cabos

My wife and I were joined once again by our friends, and the 4 of us had the most wonderful stay at Marquis during the month of April. Our great experience began prior to arrival when I had called in to make dinner reservations with Rogelio. He was very patient on the phone with me while we discussed what time the entertainment shows started so that our group could enjoy dinner as well as the nightly entertainment shows. When we arrived, our van doors were opened, and we were greeted by the friendliest smiles, as well as a hibiscus margarita. Stephanie was working at the front desk and she checked in myself as well as the other couple. She was very fun and sweet. Service throughout the resort was as spectacular as ever!! Poolside our attendants were: Sergio with tinted glasses, Dancing Sergio, Jose Figueroa, Arturo, the beautiful MariCruz, and Julio each of whom took great care of us and the other guests in the area. On one of our days Arturo was working the far end of the pool and was kind enough to grab us a round of drinks as our server had just gotten hit with a large group. We really appreciated his extra effort. This was my first time having Sergio(tinted glasses) attend to us and he stood out to my wife and I as a TOP poolside attendant!! Sakke restaurant is always a fun experience as Chef Francisco, who has such a fun personality, attends to us. The flavors that he creates in the dishes, along with the presentation are simply phenomenal. Xochil was our server at Sakke and she was so sweet, and so attentive to our table as well as the other tables around us. She was constantly checking on all guests to make sure they were enjoying their evening and their meals. If you’re staying at Marquis on a Tuesday or Friday and you enjoy fish, I have to recommend the restaurant Bacaloa. Mauricio and Oscar are a phenomenal team on dinner services. Chef Alejandro made a beautiful red snapper and Mauricio made a valid attempt at doing Mexican coffee for our table. The restaurant Pergola is always a favorite as it has a variety of dishes that we enjoy. The music being played on the night we had dinner was soft and provided a great ambience in the restaurant area. Oscar was our waiter that evening as well as our photographer and even entertainment as he was dancing with some of the other guests. Oscar has so much charisma, charming personality, even on a busy night he smiled the entire time. Lunches were such a special treat each day. Chef René and his team in the Dos Mares restaurant provided us some of the most delicious meals. The two that stand out the most were the extremely juicy salmon with the most amazing buttery buttery potatoes you could ask for. The other dish that stands out in our memory were the bacon wrapped shrimp;those were absolutely delicious! The presentation of the fruit plates was amazing, so much time and effort into the preparation and presentation. Thank you, Chef Rene. No better way to start your day at Marquis than going to the restaurant Vista Ballenas for breakfast. Adriana is the face of breakfast and her greeting always will put a smile on your face. Tania is our favorite server for breakfast time. She knows what we like and often has it brought to the table prior to us asking. Although I could not make it to Marquis for my birthday in February, Adriana had Carmen make my favorite cake, passionfruit. Carmen is an exceptional baker! I don’t know how she gets the cake to be so moist, flavorful and light. Two of the people that we see daily checking on all guests and managing staff are Javier and Suzie(Peque, Azucena). They both seem to be in all places working with their teams, communicating with the guests and ensuring that everything runs flawlessly in the restaurants, with the Pool Side Service and romantic dinners on the beach. Thank you to each of you. Hotel Marquis Los Cabos was sold out during some of the days of our stay. I have been to this hotel at various occupancy levels and the service never diminishes between a sold out hotel, and a very low occupancy as during Covid. The management team down to the newest hire, all seem to work very cohesively to provide the best experience possible for each guest. A few other names I would like to thank for making our stay so wonderful are: Emmanuel and Alex at breakfast, David at lunch, and Dan and Alejandra at Sakke. I would really like to commend the team that makes the late mornings, afternoons and evenings so fun. That team is the entertainment team led by Francisco. Jhony, Enrique, Monty, Sexy Jared and Melanie help make each day fun. Our FAVORITE activity is beach volleyball and we are always so excited when the team gathers guests for an energetic and competitive match!! Francisco did a special tree planting ceremony for Earth Day. I was happy to have taken part in the removal or an old dead tree and the planting of a new and fresh replacement. Having the Aztec God and the 2 Groots present was really fun and cool. Liliana, Mauricio and Cassandra, the rooms were beautiful, the flowers so fragrant, the tequila so strong, drink cups kept us hydrated and refreshed and the hotel was immaculate as always. Enrique instructed the activities rifle shooting, volleyball, Water aerobic. We’ll be back!

Hotel is clean and beautiful, view of the ocean from the pool and our room was amazing. Staff so friendly and welcoming, can’t say enough about staff. It’s a peaceful, laidback experience which we love. Not impressed with the food and drinks.

Oscar is the best! His service at Pergola was amazing.
