Great hotel and very hardworking staff! We had a great experience at this hotel and was so happy with our waiter Sergio! If anyone visits this hotel i truly hope you have the pleasure of having Sergio whos from mexico city and lived in los angeles as your waiter he truly deserves this review as he really understands how to treat people and go overboard with giving what the people want. Sergio and marquis is great!
We were truly blessed to meet Sergio our waiter on our 3rd day at the hotel when we where poolside. Sergio was a great waiter who truly took care of us like royalty, we asked for very spicy sauce which no one else actually went through the trouble to get us and he will always get us drinks as fast as possible. Also this wasn’t just for us everyone poolside was saying Sergio is great, there was 2 Sergio’s so that was confusing haha but our Sergio was truly a hardworking guy who told us he lived in Los Angeles where we are from and came here to really take care of his family! We enjoyed him so much that we requested for him to be our waiter for our intimate private dinner on the beach which we also highly recommend if you are there for a wedding proposal or anniversary like ourselves. Overall 100/10 for Sergio and this hotel. Thank you Sergio and Marquis!!

Beautiful hotel but annoying that they tried to "upgrade" us to a casita w/o a view
Beautiful hotel, good food. nice vibe. However, beware if they offer to “upgrade” you to a casita because regular rooms are “not available”. Casitas are spacious but they first put us in one that was right next to pool chairs so no privacy or view. Then when we said we wanted the ocean view room that we had reserved, they instead put us in one that had a view of a wall! We insisted on being switched. I can understand the first offer but then they should have given us the room that we had reserved and paid for. And it thus took a very long time to get checked in.
