This is a mid-sized boutique hotel for adults over 18. In the last ten years going to Cabo, my wife and I have stayed her six times. Originally the Marquis, then Secrets, them Marquis again, this is the benchmark hotel for Cabo. Located on the most beautiful stretch of the corridor, those who know of this little hidden gem, all agree it is by far the best value of all the higher end hotels. A week is a perfect amount of time in the winter and perhaps a little bit shorter in the hottest months of the summer. I know what it is like to be at the top hotels such as the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons, and this place comes close to the same level of service. The resort has treated us special each and every time by being helpful to our every need and in many occasions treating us like family. This is why we have said to many of our friends this is our second home when not in Los Angeles. There are at least 10 employees that make this place graceful, romantic, and like a family. Unfortunately, mentioning everyone’s name and all the great work they do would take too long. So here are just a couple shoot outs, but excludes many that also deserve mention. The UR Entertainment Team, there is no better than Karina (Special K) and DJ Johnnie. We wish we could have tipped you the most (but never got the chance) because in our many times at the resort you are the most excellent at what you do and deserve to be promoted to CEO’s of Entertainment. Thanks for watching out for us at the beautiful Art Walk in San Jose. We will miss you both the most. The two of you made our stay feel like home and family and we thank you! At the restaurants, big shout out to Omar, Jose, Alexis, Armando and the great smile and welcome of Adriana. At the pool, special thank you to Ulysis and Susie that we’re always one step ahead of our needs. Now, to the summary. The rooms are beautiful, all ocean views. If you have a little xtra money do an upgrade, you will not forget it. The pools are outstanding, making it difficult to tell the difference between the beautiful ocean with jumping whales and the edge of the pool. There is something for everyone from flying a superhero kite, to riding horses, to flying a dual person mini-plane, to beach and Mexican fiestas with lots of fire, to great food, to the most beautiful beach walk to the rocks and back, perhaps anywhere in the world. So amazingly beautiful. This is the perfect place for romantic couples looking to have a great and very private adventure. This hotel is definitely much more romantic that the rest. We will be back again and again, as this place makes us sad every time we leave, but I can say it is like leaving your family. You know everyone at a personal level when you leave and honestly, you will leave hoping to see all these great people at this great resort again. We already miss it and home we can make it soon. Excellent!!! My Pleasure!!! Cheers to being fabulous!!! Mike & Leah.

The Bad: The noise from the construction woke us up every morning around 6:45 am, I am on vacation and I don't want to hear all of that noise at such a early time in the am. Luckily, I was able to fall back to sleep. Entertainment: If you are looking for FUN and excitement this is the not the resort for you. This property is vary laid back and relaxing. One good thing about the resort...no kids, loud noise or foam parties. This hotel is for the mature traveler. Food/Drinks The food was better than most resorts, I enjoyed the selections and restaurants. You have the option of ordering off of the menu and/or eat off of the buffet. I liked eating the Mexican traditional breakfast at Vista Ballenas; such a treat and different. The drinks were ok, I suggest that you ask the bartender to add a double shot of whatever alcohol you are drinking so that you can taste and feel it. The mimosa every morning for breakfast were delish as well as the watermelon juice. This hotel provides a nice touch by delivering pastries and coffee to your room in the morning. Service: This was the area that was the biggest disappointment for me. I am in the hospitality industry and I found the staff not as friendly as most hotels and resorts. The standouts for me, were; Rene, Omar, Adriana and Tania. Adriana is AMAZING, she remembers your name, very pleasant and she is always smiling...WOW. Omar is charming, once he heard about my disappoint with the hotel staff, he did everything in his power to make our stay GREAT. Omar and his staff sent us off with a welcome dessert...we love these guys. Other staff at Marquis not so much...BIG disappointment. I will not mention their names but they work in the other restaurants, the concierge desk and front desk. The Hotel: Absolutely gorgeous, this hotel is beautiful. The guest rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. The guest rooms are spotless and I loved the nightly turn down service. They do a great job on maintaining the public space and you do not see a lot of flies or fruit flies around the bar and food areas. Overall GREAT property, you will love it!!! Plan on relaxing at this upscale resort.

The first thing that grabs you here are the views. They are breathtaking and are amazing from all vantage points. Then you meet the staff who are so friendly and accommodating. You want for nothing and they are helpful but give you respectful space. When we went to Cozumel last year at times we felt we were being pushed into presentations but none of that here. The food was good with plenty of variety and the special events were top notch. We were entertained by the awesome staff that included, Johnny, Christian, Mario, and the beautiful and sweet Karrina. They all made us feel we were part of the family here as did the awesome hostess at Vistas Ballenas Adriana. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing sun filled vacation. My only complaint was having to leave so soon. As far as the construction noise some mentioned, to us it was not bothersome as the ocean drowned it out.

We had a great time at Marquis Los Cabos resort with 4 couples! The staff were super friendly and awesome. The pool was terrific and never overcrowded. The view from the infinity pools is spectacular looking out over the beach and water. The sushi restaurant and staff were phenomenal! Jorge and the wait staff at Sake (Sushi Restaurant) were terrific and couldn't have been any better. Karina, DJ Johnny, Mario and the entertainment staff were tons of fun. They were always nice enough to play beach volleyball in the heat of the day when we were a little light on players. The wait staff around the pool were great including Arturo, Humberto, and many others. Beautiful setting and the walks along the beach with the waves crashing into the rocks is gorgeous. You can't get into the ocean at the resort, but you can take a 10 minute walk down to the beach to a safer swimming area...which we did 2 or 3 times. Went sailing one day in the Gulf which was beautiful and tons of fun. Loved this place.
