Overall just a fantastic resort. Great for rest and relaxation. Not really the best party resort. Our room on the main floor was a bit close to the road. Didn’t really notice to be honest. Sounded like a windy morning when the cars started driving by. Gym was nice. We went there every morning for our workout. The cable machine was lacking a few attachments but easy to work around. Food was very good. No “buffet” (except breakfast) so make sure to book your restaurant times. We enjoyed all the restaurants. Parts of each meal were spectacular, other parts good. Nothing was what I’d consider poor quality. I’d definitely come back for another restful vacation. Great value. Service was amazing too. Everyone was very friendly. Our favourite servers by the pool were Marie Cruz and Sergio Tellez. Can someone give them a raise ☺️

Our experience at Marquis was excellent. When you pull up to the resort the lobby is breathtaking. The staff is amazing from the start. We were offered welcome drinks and shown to our room. The food was all very good. Adriana at breakfast was amazing! Always remembered our name and was super friendly. Sakka was our favourite restaurant. The teppanyaki show was excellent. The view from our room was so nice and we saw whales everyday. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

All rooms face the ocean here, and the view is amazing. But you can't go in the water. It is not allowed, and they will come after you. So if being in the ocean is important to you, stay elsewhere, or walk to the Hilton and use their beach. Our junior suite was fabulous and had a huge jetted bathtub that we used daily. You do need to be aware that dinner reservations must be made for every restaurant. The food at all of them is superb, as is the service. We had a fabulous time.

We had an amazing time visiting Marquis resort. We stayed in a garden view casita, top notch service from tue staff the entire time. Our most memorable staff member was Tania, she is an amazing, amazing woman who was so helpful and friendly and accommodating. We will visit Marquis again and again because of wonderful people like Tania, she needs a raise for her excellent customer service, friendly demeanor, and all around genuine attitude.
