Fantastic resort. Service was impeccable, location was perfect (easy to get to from the airport), grounds were perfectly maintained. The food though…the food MADE the experience. Every meal was better than the last but the highlight was the special dinner Chef Alejandro made us by the ocean. Oscar, our favorite server, set it up for us and took amazing care of us as always. Truly the high point of our week.

What a week! The highlight was Chef Alejandro at Pergola restaurant! Our entire meal was incredible!!! Every course was as amazing as the last. His salad with burrata and fruit and truffle…ridiculously good!!!! Oscar was the best server. Always knew what we needed before we even asked! Brought me a blanket once it got windy! And picked the best table Oceanside for our anniversary celebration! Thanks for making our week so special!

Pulling up to the resort, the first thing we noticed was the absolutely beautiful view of the ocean. We were greeted by Jonathan, who immediately took our bags and made us feel welcome. Check-in was seamless and Jonathan personally escorted us to our room. He went over everything in detail and answered all of our questions about the resort. He even arranged for coffee and tea to be delivered to our room every morning, which was such a nice touch. He truly set the tone for our stan and was fantastic. We stayed in an oceanfront room on the 3rd floor with unbelievable views of the ocean. The room itself was a bit dated, slight musty smell, especially in the cabinet drawers and the AC could have worked better. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were quite small and didn't provide much support. However, everything was very clean and the maid service was very good as well. The pools were spectacular and the service throughout the resort was top-notch. Jose and Sergio especially stood out and took great care of us. The resort offers a nice variety of restaurants. We had breakfast every morning at Vista Ballenas, where we were always greeted with a big smile from Adriana. We loved Carlos behind the grill making perfect omelets for us each morning. Alex was also incredibly sweet and provided great service. Vista Ballenas also serves lunch, though we didn't eat there during the day. We did go one evening for dinner and enjoyed the Mexican-inspired menu. Bacalao, their seafood restaurant, is open for dinner on Tuesday and Friday evenings and offers a 5-course dinner. It was absolutely delicious. Our waiter Nino, was incredible and made the experience even better. Dos Mares is a great lunch spot, their fresh ceviche is so good! Sakke, Asian inspired was very good for dinner. Pergola is their Italian restaurant, since we are from New York, it's hard to impress us with Italian food, so it wasn't our favorite, but the service was excellent. Coffee shop opens at 6am, serves fantastic coffee and long with snacks, sandwiches and ice-cream, perfect during the day. We did wish this was open in the evening. Every evening before dinner we went to the Suspiro Bar. It's a perfect place to enjoy a drink and take in the beautiful views and they had fun entertainment! Definitely try the Cadillac Margarita! We did check out the gym, it is fully equipped. Friends went to the spa and they said their massage was very good. Wifi is an issue, not the strongest. I needed to do a bit of work each morning and had a difficult time staying connected. This happened several times a day throughout the resort. Overall, we had a wonderful time, largely because of the incredible staff and service throughout the resort. They all work so hard! I understand this is an all-inclusive, but PLEASE tip the staff!! I would rate the hotel a 4 star due to the outdated rooms, but would recommend the hotel due to the service, which truly makes the experience. Thank you to the staff, we will return!
