Amazing experience, everything was easy and lovely. The rooms were spacious and felt luxurious, and so quiet. Staff was always friendly and accommodating. Food was yummy. Always found a chair by a pool. I probably would have used a swimmable beach but didn't miss not having it (and there was one walkable from the resort)

I LOVED my stay at Marquis! The room was clean and comfortable, the service was excellent, the beach view and pool access was beautiful and convenient, and the food was delicious. Shout out to Fransisco at Sakke!

As a returning guest I wanted it to be wonderful.

What would you do? My husband and I stayed in a casita at the Marquis Los Cabos years ago and had such a wonderful experience that when I needed to train for a long-distance swim, I knew exactly where I wanted to return. The 80‑meter infinity pools are spectacular — truly world‑class — and they were the reason I booked an all‑inclusive week in a casita again. On arrival, everything looked as I remembered. The casita’s rooftop deck and plunge pool were a dream, the view was stunning, and I went to bed excited to begin my twice‑daily swim routine. The next morning, however, I discovered that several steps leading to the rooftop had crumbled and fallen onto the terrace. I’m grateful I wasn’t on the stairs when it happened. I photographed the damage, went for my morning swim, and reported it to the front desk. I was told repairs would take about two days; in reality, it took three — one day to replace the steel and two more for the concrete to cure. Here is where the experience shifted. Of course, Management was glad I wasn't injured or on the stairway when the concrete crumbled. They were at capacity but offered to move me to a rear casita w/no view. I chose to wait for repairs which I was told would take about two days. I knew as a single returning guest I came to experience the Marquis los Cabos. Never leaving the resort I dined at all but one of the restaurants, went to the fitness center, and had a massage. It was not the experience I recalled or anticipated for the 7,000+ USD I paid. The Marquis Los Cabos has aged. The grand entry waterfall, not running when I arrived, was being repaired the entire week I was there. I hope it's repaired quickly as it's a stunning welcome. I started looking at casita stairs as I passed after mine crumbled. Most had stairs in similar condition to mine. (Be careful.) The pool chaises are showing wear & tear. The Spa remains a calming area, but the robes are old and the massage was lackluster. The restaurants were just OK. As I was staying on premises for all meals I hoped for more epicurean experience. After all it was here during my first visit I was introduced to Clase Azul Tequilla. I have never stayed in the main hotel and cannot opine on its condition. As indifferent as Management is, the staff is wonderful. From poolside to the restaurants, they all are attentive & looked after this solo guest. (Tip generously. They're worth it.) There are many resorts to choose from now in Cabo. Of all the ones I've stayed at, I chose to return to the Marquis Los Cabos. For the pools, for the casita, for the staff. I'm saddened by its condition. I will be returning to Cabo. I would have liked to return to a restored Marquis Los Cabos if management had not been so indifferent to this single guest. (As I departed, I was informed that I was compensated 1/3 the cost of my massage.) The resort may have aged, but the mismanagement of this returning solo guest paying 7,000+ USD for the week was disrespectful. Maybe they should look to the statues of Icarus at the front entry and review his sad tale... 'excessive pride and flying too close to the sun can only lead to a tragic ending of falling into the sea."

So much fun.

My sister, her husband and myself took a last minute trip to get away from life stressors, celebrate having our second children and have fun before my sister started work again. The ambience was perfect, very calm yet lively. The food was great and the people were incredible. The best part was the entertainment. The staff was very inclusive with all the activities, they were very playful throughout our stay. Melanie and Esmeralda especially made us feel at home and like friends, they included us in all the games and really engaged with every guest. It’s staff like them that make this hotel feel more like hanging out with friends than a business. I would definitely recommend this resort for any special event or just a quick trip to get away.
