We spent the second week of January at the Marquis on our first visit to Los Cabos and were taken back by the natural beauty of the area and resort. The resort and rooms were very clean and comfortable while the pool and beach area were perfect for a relaxing vacation. Capacity during our stay was under 50% making it the more peaceful and relaxing. Vista Bellenas is the Mexican restaurant where you could have breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. The manager, Omar could not have been nicer, he was so friendly as was one of our regular waiters, Jose who was always attentive of our needs. Our hostess Adiiana - so sweet - greeted us each time by name always with a smile followed by kind words. All were excellent here. Sakke is the Asian restaurant we had dinner here at a Teppanyaki table and food was great and Philippe made it fun. Pergola with outside seating served Italian cuisine along with pizza from a stone oven all was very good, though service was slow as food was delivered from a distant source. Dos Mares is the pool restaurant and we had something from there everyday all very good suggestions include ceviche, Sea Bass, fish fingers and Mediterranean salad. Expresso Cappuccino made wonderful coffees and other drinks as well as small bites. Suspiros bar had a great staff especially Cesar who who could make a great Margarita. The seating here is not at all comfortable and in great need of an upgrade. Entertainment staff was great, DJ Johnny, Karina and most especially Mario, they were fun, funny and Mario even came in early to see us off on our departure day. All in all everyone here from front desk to housekeeping and ground keeping were friendly and efficient would come back.

This was our first time ever to an All-Inclusive hotel. In 4 short hours, we flew from wet /cold Vancouver (Canada) to sunny Mexico. It was very quick and very easy. The airport is small and chaotic. We got our rental car at Avis (nice people) and the 15 minute drive to the hotel was simple. We liked the design of the hotel because the open archway that is the lobby is unique and beautiful. The Marquis is a small hotel with a big heart! Every staff member has a genuine smile and a genuine need to make our daily experience perfect! That is true for each person who is either in housekeeping, serving, or an activity leader. It is rare to have a spotless room. Our room was spotless like a display model. Yes, we did hear the hwy, but it's not noisy because the ocean waves are louder; that's music to my ears. I can afford this in Mexico but not in Hawaii because ocean front is $900 / night without food. Speaking of food, it's delicious. Our favorite was the pool side restaurant and the breakfast restaurant named Vista Ballenas. Each morning we were warmly greeted by Hostess Adriana whose enthusiasm was very happy. The manager Omar has created a great menu and his staff works hard. If you are inclined, rent a car because it's cheap and it's easy to drive from the hotel to the towns of Cabo & San Jose. Look around and do a little shopping in the trinket shops. The only down side of our experience is the absence of water activities due to the strong currents. We accepted that and just relaxed more and ate more.

Pros: we had a great experience at Marquis Los Cabos. We had great service from Susie at the pool, Adan at the bar, and various servers at the restaurants. The resort itself is beautiful and picturesque. Our room was perfect with a fantastic view and very clean amenities. We were fortunate that our room was on the side of the Hilton away from the construction. It was our anniversary and we were surprised to see a sign on our door and a bottle of champagne at arrival. Overall the food was solid not spectacular. Was not a fan of the breakfast buffet but there is a menu which the food was better. Lunch poolside was by far the best. The ceviche was so so so good. Dinner was hit or miss, our favorite dinner was the Mexican restaurant. Also we enjoyed the night activities that ranged from a beach BBQ, fire dancers, entertainment at the bar, casino night, and a wine tasting night. Cons: this is not the hotels fault...but the biggest downer on our very relaxing vacation was the noise from the construction next door. It was quite loud when laying by the pool especially when the jack hammer was going. From our room even though we were away from construction you can still hear the highway but was more like white noise. Sometimes the staff could be slow but wasn't a huge deal since we weren't in a rush to be anywhere. My husband is GF and they did have the menu's labeled which items were GF however the staff had no education of what GF meant or make any modifications to items that weren't labeled GF. One last "complaint" is that the house wine...was quite awful. It would have been nice to have wine that was more drinkable for the house (all bottles were an additional charge) Overall great stay and experience, would definitely return once the construction is finished!

I visited The Marquis Los Cabos in November 2017. I went with a friend for 7 days. It was amazing. We had an awesome stay the food was great. Karina was awesome at her job, recruiting people for activities. she made them so much more fun with her enthusiasm and love of her job. DJ Johnny was great as well, happy cheerful. It was just an amazing resort and I would go back there again.

This place is beautiful. The food is ok, but the pools are freezing. There are multiple pools, but only one person in rhe water. I enquired the pool staff and front desk staff about the freezing pool water, both said they would talk to maintenance staff. We'll see....
