Reviews for Miraval Resort & Spa
My fiancé and I visited Miraval for a long weekend from LA, which is a very quick flight. From start to finish it was an excellent experience. The staff was professional and on-the-ball. The activities were abundant and well executed. The food was delicious and healthy. And the Spa is world class. Anyone looking for an active and relaxing vacation should look at Miraval.

I had the most wonderful and delightful experience possible. I did not know that people could be so accommodating and pleasant. It was amazing. It was personally transformative and a totally peaceful experience.

If one were to design a resort that had all of my interests, this would be the resort. Everything from mountain biking, hiking, yoga, spiritual pursuits, health and beauty, it's all here. The food is outstanding. Staff is warm and attentive. Wouldn't change a thing about Miraval and can't wait to return.

We booked over phone some of the limited activities over the resort for my wife and I, and even though we said we're both want to attend and the other side has confirmed us we're booked, we found out that the person only booked one of us for each activity. We only found out when the schedule is emailed out a week before we're arriving, and the classes are full. If you're a couple looking to book activities to attend together, don't assume booking means you're able to actually go. This is quite horrible for a resort like this.

We were so excited to book this for my best friends bachelorette getaway. Wow were we in for a surprise! After reading lots of reviews- looks like we should have gone to canyon ranch! Room- really dated. Hair in our bathtub upon arrival. Dust balls falling off the walls. Cockroaches in our room. Staff- I have never been that talked down to! Better service at a holiday inn. The fitness classes and teachers were amazing. The other staff really surprised us though (in a negative way). A waitress followed me in to the lunch buffet because she was angry about a special request for lunch that I had made. She proceeded to redicule me in front of everyone (my friend and I were so stunned we just stood there). All I had asked for was a burger (since Other staff had said we could order it). I asked another server at dinner about an item. She asked if I had read the menu because it “obviously indicated” the item was raw (I had just asked if it was raw or seared salmon). They allowed a customer to bring a dog in to the dining room and the dog barked ALL through lunch. On my way out I went to see what kind of dog it was. It was a tiny dog that was sitting at the table eating from a plate!!!! I then proceeded to find hair in 3 of my meals. Not sure about health code violations going on, but it felt very unsanitary. There is a smoothy bar. I asked the lady for one of the items with extra peanut butter (it’s an option on the menu). She outwardly loudly huffed, rolled her eyes and then slowly made it (otherwise the smoothies are premade, so I guess that was a huge hassle to put a premade one in the blender with some peanut butter). There is a very “strict” no phone policy that you sign when you arrive. Yet there was an employee chatting on her phone right outside our room. There was MOLD on the blackberries at breakfast. I showed the manager and he didn’t appologize, just said oh- I will go check that out. Don’t ask for any items that you need quickly. We arrived with no shampoo or conditioner in our room. Call one the lady told me I was missing it. That it’s in every room and to look again. My friend and I looked all around. No shampoo/conditioner. Called back and they brought it down- 2 hours later. We ran out of toilet paper. That showed up 3 hours later!!!! Clean robes were about the same timeline. We went to the front desk and attempted to remedy these issues while we were there. No response from any manager. Spa was very sub par services!
