Miraval Arizona

Went to Miraval Tucson for our 5th visit for a girl's trip. They have upgraded the Life in Balance spa and the services are always incredible! Highly recommend any of the ayurvedic treatments, Tavasya massage, and run the spa circuit with the steam room/cold plunge/hot tub. Food was elevated on this stay and we loved the choices that were available. They accommodate for all dietary needs. The rooms are lovely - bed is like a big marshmallow and so comfy. Rooms are quiet and love the amenities inside. The grounds are well kept and sustainable. The variety of services offered is excellent - there is something for everyone from yoga, fitness, outdoor activities, challenge courses, coaching workshops, intuition, and more! Truly something for everyone.

What happens when 30 type A woman business owners converge on a desert retreat? Magical things when the retreat is at Miraval Spa. We were together, but independent. Each of us curated our own experiences. And we found ourselves inspired by the experiences of our friends. So many times over our week, we grabbed a buddy and escorted her back to something magical that we wanted to share - a sunrise or sunset vista, a cold plunge circuit, a meal or snack highlight. We return every year (this is my 4th) with a new intention and high expectations. We are never disappointed. My upgraded room was an unexpected surprise on this trip. And, while I planned many adventures over my 4 days, none was so magical as the hot outdoor shower in the cool morning darkness. Ok, truth be told, the Shamana-Karma massage was more magical. There is nothing like being oiled, herbed and wrapped up like an aromatic burrito to detox and renew the body and soul! Oh, wait - did I mention the scalp massage and the hibiscus powder sprinkle? You really have to try this one for yourself! My primary intention for this trip was relaxation and introspection. I left renewed. My Monday back at work was full of focus. I suspect my whole next month will be. Over the years, I have been stretched to afford this trip. And yet, I can't afford NOT to take it. I will continue to find the means every year. It is a trip I cannot miss.

Everywhere you looked around the gorgeous property at Miraval Tuscon was just beautiful and often breathtaking! As you might expect, the atmosphere is serene and most every guest was respectful of the "no device" policy; phones allowed only for photos. It was surprising how many beautiful pools, streams and waterfalls there were especially considering that it's the desert. The food was delicious and the staff kind and respectful. The spa is superb. The classes and experiences they offer are very interesting and add so much to the visit. I would absolutely this getaway!

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. I've had an exceptionally difficult year after my husband passed and I've stayed at this resort twice over the year. Four days over our anniversary, and 5 days over the anniversary of my husband's passing. The overall environment, staff, activities, all were beyond my expectations in the feeling of comfort, connectedness and inclusion. The food is amazing, fresh with many creative offerings. I found a peace and centeredness in both of my stays that deeply connected me to myself, and I left with a refreshed spirit ready to continue on in my new life's journey without my husband by my side.
