Wonderful retreat with so much to do that I could have stayed for a month but that would be cost prohibitive. Wonderful mix or fantastic food, ambiance, services and activities. Amazingly comfortable beds

The long history of healing in this gorgeous desert setting is palpable as you stroll the grounds, enjoy fresh and delightful healthy meals, relax at the pools, and grow through fun and challenging activities. It's hard to pick just a few highlights - there were so many! Walking the labyrinth as the desert woke up around me, learning to make salsa in the kitchen with a chef who pours love of his grandmother (who taught him to roast chiles) into all of the food he prepares, expert spa treatments, sitting under palms listening to a symphony of birdsong, gathering around the fire at the kiva under a cloudless desert sky brimming with stars.... See what I mean?! Love them for the graciously yet firmly enforced policy of no cell phones in public areas. The stay was so restful and really interesting due in large part to guests actually interacting with each other when noses aren't pressed into screens. My colleagues raved about their experiences, especially with the horses and challenge courses. A wide variety of excellent activities - many included in the resort fee - yet one never feels hurried or frantic to tick things off the list. Everything is better when you're mindful of the moment.

Miraval in Tucson is a wonderful wellness and relaxation experience. Each day has numerous activities and lectures to choose from including fitness classes, meditation instruction, lectures on health and wellness, outdoor pursuits, etc. Restrictive cell phone policy is key to creating a relaxed and centered experience. Music isn't played at meals nor at the pool so it's quiet and relaxing. No kids makes it a perfect get away for adults who want something other than a family resort experience. Good spa services and wonderful food including plant based options. Each day is busy in a good way: you try to fit in all the classes and activities that you want, enjoy mountain views and sun at the pool, get a massage, and eat lots of great healthy food options, including plant based meals (especially at the breakfast and lunch buffets). Loved it!

We had a lovely room with an awesome view . The facilities were nice but the spa facility was disappointing. It’s very small and the waiting room for services is public and not relaxing .I also didn’t like that you only had certain times of the day that food was served. I found a lack of activity as well...I think this is because we have been to canyon ranch so there was differences. The classes were nice but you had to book everything in advanced that was new and cool and pay extra. I liked the Ariel yoga but had to book it few days in advance and it was 75 dollars a class! (Not private session) We did order room service and they brought us “bottled water “ the bottle hadn’t been properly washed and their was mold like residue in the water . My husband didn’t notice until he drank a good bit (gross!). They explained it was left over dressing in the bottle and the dishwasher didn’t clean it ...? We weren’t offered any compensation. It was disgusting and we found crazy for such an expensive place ! It felt less like a health resort and more like a vacay spot, which is fine and all depends on what your looking for . The staff was all young college kids so I felt a lack of professionalism. If you are looking for a life changing experience, go to canyon ranch! Mirival is over priced and I did not feel anything spiritual there, which many claim they do. Still the view, room, and beds were amazing.
