Reviews for Miraval Arizona

A slice of heaven

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This resort and spa is without the best experience of my life. This not just a vacation spot. The facility and staff are designed to help people enjoy, heal, grow spiritually, emotionally and mentally. You will be so happy if you go there. If you have hit a rough spot in your life or just want to spoil and enjoy yourself then don't overthink it - just book a trip to Miraval Tucson. I have never experienced anything this wonderful in my life and I have travelled the world since childhood. If you add a few of the Tucson tours such as Mount Lemmon and Sabino Canyon trolley tour then this will be a vacation of a lifetime. It will be best thing you can do for yourself to heal and enjoy.

Mixed Feelings

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Once we arrived at Miraval, we had a fabulous experience. Exceptional onsite staff, unique spa treatments , activities & classes. Beautiful & peaceful surroundings. The food from the menu was great. The buffet was average. My room needed renovation. Looked old & worn. The private patio was unusable. It was filthy & had fire pit glass scattered. The booking & reservation process is awful! The website is difficult to navigate in finding available spa treatments & activities. Forget about obtaining assistance from email, chat or phone. I sent 2 emails & never received a reply. I attempted calls a few times to inquire about activity waitlist. On the website, some indicate full & others disappear when full. Difficult to attempt creating an itinerary to match a friend. I received a return call to one of my messages 2 days later. I received a “Renew & Repeat” return stay offer email after check out. The offer instructed to click the tab of the spa location to request booking. Since my onsite experience was positive, I decided to inquire about a future stay in the fall. I sent that request Wed morning. As of Sat morning, Miraval has not replied. Unacceptable customer service for a luxury resort or any travel/hospitality business. As with any experience, your last impression is the one that stays with you. I doubt I will return to Miraval.

Peace and Reflection at Miraval

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Another wonderful stay at Miraval Arizona. I’ve visited the property several times in recent years and always enjoy the friendly staff, range of activities, and the food. The renovated spa was very nice, evoking an elevated sense of calm. The new cold plunge is a welcome (albeit cold!) addition. My only comment is that the lockers create some bottkenecked areas when multiple women trying to get into lockers. The food still remains mediocre. Some dishes are hit or miss, but overall it’s satisfying. Appealing to everyone’s tastes is an impossible endeavor. But I don’t come here for the food particularly. I know I can count on it to be consistently healthy and sustainably sourced which I appreciate. I particularly enjoy the convenience of the Palm Court for something quick to eat. The ginger shot and horchata smoothie are my favs!

Beautiful Time

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

It was a beautiful stay here. Likes: no phones, strict policies on it, hiking on property, beautiful scenery, better food and drinks, loved having fresh snacks there, beautiful, felt much smaller and more of a family feel, better spa, everyone in robes lots, great snacks everywhere, salad bar, very comfortable beds. We loved the people and were impressed with our learnings and services. Dislikes: owned by Hyatt which seems more corporate, some meals missed the mark but could always order more, horrible booking experience online, workout pool was pretty cold, rooms dark and not as modern. Wasn't given a tour to know what to expect although it was offered, it was chaotic and we couldn't find someone to help us. For what you pay, I think they should have better scheduling and a better check-in and out experience. The scheduling needs to get fixed for this to be a better stay.

A wonderful mother/daughter visit to Mirabel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

My daughter and I experienced a wonderful mixture of classes, hikes, spa time, sun and together time. We enjoyed having seemingly endless choices of things to experience; literally something for everyone. The staff was attentive and friendly, the rooms were a bit spartan and little worn but clean. A few extra hooks in the bathroom would have been a welcome addition. The food was very, very good. We are looking forward to a return visit next year.

Miraval is just wonderful!! It is truly a relaxing getaway that offers so much for everyone. You can push yourself to the limit with the ropes/challenge experience; yoga, pilates and other tough exercise classes; the equine experience; or just enjoy the spa with the most wonderful treatments. Loved every minute of it. The setting is serene, the staff couldn't be more helpful, and the spa treatments are truly beyond!!! Can't wait to go back!

Miraval is a wonderful destination spa. There are many activities to choose from including their Challenge Experiences, which I highly recommend! The food at Miraval is delicious and varied. Service is top notch.
