I spent 3 nights at Miraval with a friend, & it was absolutely wonderful! I worked with the staff over the phone & email to book activities & spa services in advance. I would recommend doing this as soon as the schedule is posted (which I believe is about 2 months ahead). We waited until 2 weeks prior & some activities were full (hikes, zipline, etc). There are always some activities like fitness classes, meditation, etc that don’t require advance sign up. The spa is awesome! You’ll be provided a locker, robe, & slipper & can spend time over there even when you don’t have services booked. They have a wonderful quiet sitting area, a steam room, dry sauna, & whirlpool. My friend enjoyed the crystal energy healing. The anti-aging facial was nice. I had the “athlete’s massage” which was super deep tissue/stretching. The provider did a great job! The grounds & decor of the resort are lovely! Lots of places to sit quietly, or enjoy time visiting. The map they provide on the back of the booklet they give you on arrival shows the quiet/meditation areas. We booked a semi-private horseback trail ride & our guide Melissa was wonderful! I had only been on a horse once as a child & she just guided me along so nicely. We did the reverse painting on glass session & absolutely loved it! Bonnie helped me unleash my inner artist. I participated in “It’s Not About the Horse.” I quite enjoyed it. It’s an opportunity to be introspective. Wyatt Webb seemed very genuine, experienced in life & the world of counseling. The food & dining staff were fabulous! Dress code is casual. We spent our time in yoga/athletic attire, changing out a little for dinner, but you’ll see people eating in robes & being comfortable. The yoga instructors & meditation leaders were wonderful! For those of us new to meditation, they made us feel welcome & comfortable. If you don’t get into a group hike, or prefer to explore on your own, ask for a map at guest services. The trails are well marked & not difficult. I hope someday I am fortunate enough to return to Miraval! Thank you to all the lovely staff!

Spa experience only with lunch. Only really bad thing was as I was eating next to the pool I heard two employees discussing wet towels from the rain and one said to the other "you MFKR" They didn't realize I was sitting at a dining table behind them. That kind of changed my mood after that. Need to tell the guys to watch their mouths.

Miraval is truly a taste of heaven, from the delicious food and drinks, to the soothing and beautiful grounds to the spa services. Enhancing it all are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. It's a biannual trip for me and that is not enough!

This is my sixth or seventh time staying at Miraval over a 10-year period. Consistently wonderful......activities, lectures, spa services, delicious food, staff, rooms with the most comfortable beds, and local beauty. Was a little concerned to learn that Hyatt bought Miraval -- don't know how I feel about a commercial (hotel) establishment buying this unique, special place. Hope they don't mess or fiddle with it....It's perfect as it is. "Mindfulness" and "Life in Balance" is still in the forefront and what is strived for here. I'll keep coming back!

I went for a cancer advocates conference and had never been to this resort. The balance of beauty, activities, mindfulness programs, amazing food cannot be beat. I only gave it a slightly less than perfect score as some prices for massage and spa activities seemed a little high had I not received credit.
