My son took me to Miraval AZ for Mothers Day. I am so impressed by the outstanding service, the fresh and varied food served, the cleanliness of every area, the thoughtful landscaping and placement of rooms, the wonderful bedding, the views from every area. So many seating areas with babbling brooks and fire pits to relax in, lots of activities to enjoy and have fun, classes to participate in. Well, I am totally impressed and ready for next Mother’s Day.

The staff, the food, the room were all beyond phenomenal. The massages are necessary, especially the Thai at Yucca

While a bit high in price (pricing can be relative), you definitely get what you pay for in the best way possible! Top notch service and delicious food

This whole resort offers quite an amazing experience. There is so much to offer and to learn, relax and unwind. I've never experienced something so inclusive. I came back so relaxed for my day to day and also helped to refocus in a healthy way.

After reading some of the positive reviews, I was so excited to go to Miraval for both a conference and relaxation. The service however was abysmal. When I checked in the receptionist was unable to give me any info about my conference at the resort (?). With some probing, she eventually was able to tell me what room to go to. Interestingly, my work colleague received the full schedule when he checked in. The dining room service was very poor. Often, I was unable to get water or a beverage at breakfast. Twice they forgot to bring it and another time they forgot our lunch order. With service this unreliable, probably makes sense to have self serve on the water and soft drinks. We were told when we registered that we couldn't make dinner reservations till we arrived. When we arrived the first day at noon, only 5:30 and 8:30 were available. I complained to the front desk who told me "its not our dept and you need to find the food manager"...eventually I found the food manager and she did get us a more reasonable time..not exactly the way I wanted to spend my time on our first day. Overall food was pretty unremarkable. The pool later in the day did not have towels or water. Housekeeping had to be called twice over several hrs to make up our room (got done by late afternoon). My husband left 2 messages with the outdoor adventure people to see if he could borrow hiking poles and no one ever returned his calls. Its really hard to believe the prices charged at this resort, considering the lack of service. Employees don't seem to be well trained. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountian the night before arrival and it was far superior in service and professionalism. To be balanced, the positives included the spa, exercise classes and hiking trails in the back of the property.
