My wife and I enjoyed a two week stay at Dreams Tulum where we found the service and attention excellent. The room was a good size and the bed particularly comfortable. The grounds and beach areas were always clean and well cared for. We enjoyed the food in all the restaurants (did not use Sushi) and had some great lunches in the World Café on the days we did not eat on the beach. We found all the staff courteous and friendly and we were particularly well supported by the staff at the “Dive Centre”. I am not happy in the water but wanted to challenge my fear by going on a Snorkel Tour. The Dive Centre staff were very encouraging and supportive before and throughout the swim. Unfortunately I was unable to complete the swim but was well cared for and their concern for my difficulty after the swim was very reassuring. The waiters/waitresses serving on the beach were always pleased to help. The resort offered a varied entertainment program for all ages, which was a credit to them especially the evening shows. On one occasion a Fire Show was ongoing while a thunder storm raged overhead, creating a truly memorable atmosphere! The daily Yoga and Piyo sessions on the beach with visiting instructors were also enjoyed. In fact the entertainment team could keep you active for most of the day but you need some time to relax and read!

Probably the most luxurious hotel with the nicest people I've been in! I was just in aw in how amazingly friendly the employees were, the food was just delicious! We mostly used the buffet but we also tried the italian restaurant (AMAZING FOOD) and the sushi bar (I wasn't expecting great sushi cause well it was part of an all-inclusive) but IT WAS AMAZING! The entertainment was great also, seriously, I think this is the hotel chain I will be looking for every time I travel, I hope they expand and make more in latinamerica! :) Some people are saying is pricey but I mean if you look for cheap you get cheap...

We just returned from Dreams Tulum. We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts in Mexico both as a couple and with kids. This resort far exceeded our expectations. At check-in we decided to upgrade to a Preferred Club Ocean View room and it was amazing. The resort decorated our door with banner that read "Happy Anniversary" and we left it the entire week. They brought us champagne, snacks and other small bottles of alcohol as a welcome gift. The food was amazing at every restaurant. The only downfall was the attempt at the romantic beachside dinner. It was just too humid and buggy. After a few minutes we asked to cancel. Instead the staff offered to move us to an indoor venue apologizing the whole time. The entire staff was very attentive, especially Benito "Mojito" who took care of all our drink needs at the relax pool. Jorge cleaned our room (5210) and worked tirelessly. Every night there was a live band and each night was different music. It was fun people watching. Been home 3 days and I can't wait to try another AMresort.

This is a big all inclusive resort. It's pretty and clean with some good food. The beach isn't the best we found, its rocky but you can swim in the sea, we saw a sting ray which was really cool. The pools are big and you can either get involved with the pool side entertainment or use the quiet pool or beach. We stupidly didn't take small change to tip and noticed that the bar staff were much less attentive when we didn't tip to days when we did manage to get change. You need to think about this as the staff expect to be tipped for EVERYTHING! This really pushes the cost up when you consider you may order a number of drinks over the day and also eat. The staff were mostly nice and friendly, they were much nicer the more tip you gave! We only met a few people who weren't very pleasant. The girl on the pottery painting stand was sullen to the point of being rude. I though maybe she was just having a bad day but we went back a number of times and she was always the same. I also found the two women in the main shop really rude. They wound change a $20 for me (so I could tip). The thing that really annoyed me was the cost of everything not included. A pack of M&Ms was $10! A head, shoulder and back massage $189 and a bottle of wine we pay $7 for, they were asking $61! The Avis car rental on site was $50 a day more than the Avis in Tulum. I get that there will always be a mark up in places like this but this felt like too much. The food was hit and miss, the main World Cafe was great and you could always find something good. The Mexican was gross, I really didn't like the food at all, the Italian was OK food but horrible atmosphere. It was trying to be a posh restaurant and you had to dress up for it. The reality was it served below standard food and the waiter we had was really rude. It look over 15 minutes to get us a highchair (anyone with kids know this is a nightmare!) then the food they bought out for the kids was disgusting and cold. This is a family resort so kids need to be catered for well. We couldn't use the french restaurant as they don't allow kids (!). The Japanese looked really good but you sat on high stalls so we couldn't try it as it didn't work with a highchair, the Asian was hit and miss, had some really good food there but also had some of the worst food there which made my husband ill. The seaside grill was also very average (great location). They did a big BBQ in the square which was really good. Our room was great, it was big and clean, the smell of sewage was pretty bad some days but we could open the balcony doors to get rid of it. The internet connection was really slow! I wouldn't go back to this resort but Tulum is amazing with so much to see and do. We had an amazing time and I feel lucky we were able to visit, I just think there is a bit more a place like this needs to do to reach high standards.

We spent wonderful five days in Dreams Tulum in March. This is a beautiful resort with nice restaurants offering good variety of food. The beach and the pools are very nice, we really liked the Barefoot Grill and Manatees Bar next to the pools. The staff is very friendly and professional. Julian and Jorge made our vacation very special, they surprised us every day with coctail specialities. Best all inclusive service we ever had. Definitely would go back again.
