The beginning of our holiday was as we’d hoped .. peaceful and relaxing.. as the weekend approached the resort changed a huge groups of American arrived for weddings .. 2-3 weddings a day at the peak .. The resort became dominated by drunken noisy behaviour particularly in the pool which became a no go area for everyone else! I wish we’d known about the amount of weddings and how it would have impacted our holiday before we booked because we would not have stayed at Dreams It’s a real pity because the hotel and its staff are really lovely ( especially Mon-wed )

Adult pool Server, Ivan (“the great”) did an an amazing job taking care of all our needs while we enjoyed ourselves throughout the afternoon. He was friendly and catered to all our needs. Great Job Ivan! Tim

First visit to Mexico. We arrived after a 10 hour flight from the UK and upon arrival at dreams the check in was swift and prompt, we were then handed over to a colleague whom we assumed was going to take our bags to our room, how wrong were we, he asked us to take a seat on the patio and then launched into a time share presentation which we quickly recognised and stopped very quickly! Although we were made aware before hand that this might happen I was surprised that they pounced so quickly, not a good start. The room was spacious and clean but the coffee machine did not work and I called three days in a row but nothing happened although I was told it would be replaced straight away, so I gave up I the end. very poor. Food in the world cafe was OK but after requesting coffee THREE times at breakfast which was unacceptable I had to complain to the restaurant manager and explained this as a core basic but the staff seemed more interested serving the table next us as they were American and so much more important! Very poor, but still did not receive any coffee!!! The a la carte venues are at best average. The pools are very nice but are spoiled by the large crowds of Americans who take over and think they own the place, and don't think you can relax as the constant annoying in house photographer is always asking if you want a picture with an exotic bird or iguana, plus the fact there is a constant tractor dredging the seaweed on the beach all the time!!! Don't expect to have a quiet relaxing time here, as it won't happen! Night time shows are good and the entertainment team work hard, pool service is good but I will, leave it to you to make your own opinion. We will not be returning to this venue, but if it's 5* your looking for Dubai or the Maldives are a million miles ahead.

My girlfriend and I were set to stay there for three nights but we left after one and took the sunk cost and went elsewhere. The food was terrible, we had bugs in our room, we asked for the air conditioning to be fixed three times and it was never fixed, and we were annoyed by people trying to sell us extra stuff beginning the moment we got there. It may be better for families with kids looking for something more affordable but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a different experience than that.

We are just back from Dreams Tulum where we celebrated our daughter’s wedding with 110+ friends and family. The whole experience was wonderful and we are very grateful to the entire staff that helped make our family’s event such a fantastic time and memorable occasion. Most of all we want to thank Yesenia Garcia for her consistent support, attention to detail and optimistic approach that helped us get through a couple of tough moments. She has a great body of experience and knows what works and how to make it happen. When we started looking for a destination to host the wedding, we found that Dreams seemed to offer not only a great location and good physical layout, but we were really drawn to how warm and welcoming the place felt. The village-like setting is a great design that allows people to gather and yet not feel that they are on top of one another. The staff is certainly what makes this place shine and everyone we encountered at all levels were friendly and helpful. This being said, two shortcomings are worth noting. The first is that the rooms are a bit dated and worn and could really use some freshening up. The other is really specific to weddings or other events that are planned for outside. The plan “B” for inclement weather is the convention center. This is not an ideal facility from the worn carpet to the wrinkled draping that was put up to try and make the room more appealing. Dreams could really benefit from investing in some sort of covered venue space closer to the beach that can be activated when bad weather hits. Nonetheless, we feel our daughter’s wedding was still a success and everyone, most importantly the bride and groom, had a great time. Thanks again to Yesenia and all the staff at Dreams Tulum.
