My partner Cindi and I are regular visitors to Fiji. We have visited over 20 resorts in Fiji, some several times. This was our second visit to WAKAYA and we are already checking flights for our third. The staff, led by Monica the assistant manager, were more than helpful. Nothing was too much for them and our holiday there was their utmost criteria. The dive shop crew, the food and beverages, guest services...everything was well above expectations. The diving was spectacular. For example, Wakaya has many miles of beaches and rainforest to explore. Cindi and I were held up on a hike along the beaches and were surprised to see that Monica had sent out a boat to look for us to make sure we were safe. Fiji has a lot of lovely places with different attractions for different people's tastes. If you want the real FIJI come to WAKAYA. Superb beaches, awesome diving, fantastic sunsets, beautiful rainforests. Great food. Above all....great people!!! Wakaya is a bit more expensive than other places, but it is worth every penny! The private transfers to the island are especially fantastic as this means less time on the mainland and more time where you want to be.

With their own private plane pickup from Nausori or Nadi, this resort is 10 minutes by plane form Nausori airport. The view of the island from the air is amazing and when u on ground the ride and scenery starts to get even better. You arrive at reception welcomed by friendly staff with the welcome song. check in and entry to the room is hassle free. The rooms are private, spacious and outdoor shower like having a bath in the forest. The lawn from the room to the beach gives lots of private space and kids play area. White sandy beach in a marine protected reef area is amazing. U wake to to see birds calling, waves hitting the shore and turtles swimming nearby. The food is something to look forward to. Every meal is a piece of art, Amazing and delicious every time with surprise menu everyday, with every meal. The Mexican themed dinning with blend of Fijian culture makes dining an experience on its own. This is the only island that has deer so you get treated to deer meat as well, and that's an experience to look forward to. The staff are amazing and helpful every time even in this difficult times. The GM and head chef are best we have seen in Fiji and with the team this is a 5 star place.

Wow!! Where do I even begin to explain what a wonderful experience Wakaya had offered to our group.. We were the first local group to have visited the Wakaya Spa and Club and our whole trip was just so incredible.. From the beauty of the island to the amazing food and down to the hospitality of the staff - we enjoyed everything and every moment.. Monika, Ledua, Nina, Henry Just to name a few provided an exceptional service to us locals and treated is just like any one of their usual clientele who are mostly millionaires and celebrities.. highly recommended!!

Love your locals just got real at Wakaya. From the plane trip to the boat ride, Wakaya never ceased to amaze me. The service and hospitality is unmatched in Fiji. Highly recommended for a relaxing, laid-back vacation/staycation.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left - nothing was too much. Our first visit to Wakaya was simply perfection. We were celebrating my birthday and our recent move to Fiji - Wakaya did not disappoint. The private plane journey from Suva was seamless and efficient. We were greeted with an amazing Bula welcome then whisked off for breakfast and straight into relaxing beach side. Our bure was wonderful and large, with sweeping views of the ocean and our own hammock to enjoy. We snorkelled, had a hugely successful day of tuna fishing, ate the most divine food and totally unwound. Every meal was outstanding - no easy thing in Fiji. Fresh, full of flavour and creative. I requested all the wonderful recipes to take home. The service was exactly what you would expect and more when you are staying at this type of luxury escape. We were also very lucky to have the island to ourselves - 4 days of absolute heaven. Monika, Lendua and Henry made our time on the island incredibly special and we simply can not wait to return.
