Have to say that this is the best resort I have ever been to. Almost everything about the Oberoi Bali is perfect. Don't know where to start. The location is awesome, right in Seminyak the tourist town in Bali, yet the place still has its own tranqility, peacefulness. The service is just absolute the best ever. Every staff member at Oberoi is so nice, efficient and always welcome you with a smile. The food is just awesome. Best breakfast is served by order, not buffet. Love the breakfast. Dinner is fantastic as well. Recommended set dinner is a "must try" for foodie. Love everything the moment we step into the resort. The only "minus" point is that the front beach is not recommended for swimming. Well, definitely will come back to Oberoi should we have the chance.

The Oberoi is for sure one of the top end hotels of Bali. What a beautiful rooms. No wonder that famous people like Mick Jagger etc have been here in the past....Especially the bungalows with sea sight are recommendable. We'll come back!

Stunning resort based right on the sea (positioned perfectly for an amazing sunset). The staff were phenomenal, so friendly and helpful (especially when I was sick from street food - they went as far as writing me a get well card and delivered me flowers)! The food was brilliant, although as you can imagine very expensive! The one downside I would say is the cleanliness of the room. There was a large amount of dust gathered on the headboard and there was even a small blood splatter on the bed sheet when I arrived, which was disappointing given the amount of money you pay to stay at a hotel with a high reputation.

I had an awesome stay at the oberoi. Every single staff member was absolutely amazing and it was honestly the highlight of my trip having everyone say hello to me every time I passed them. Thank you very much

Great room service, attentive staff, well-manicured grounds, close proximity to the beach, the only complaint is of the mould-laden rooms, so why the "terrible" review? Let's examine price points: 6million+ (About 600 Canadian) Per night gets you a standard room which has not been refurbished since opening. They are dark and musty and I am sensitive to mould, so I developed an allergic cough during my stay. The W, in the same neighbourhood, provides a private villa and pool for 5million+ (100 CAD cheaper), and The Legian, which is a step up, only 8million (800 CAD). We stayed at all three in the span of two weeks and surfed the crowded Legian sand bars. Clearly, I am not averse to spending on luxury, but value is key. If you're going to splurge, then do it some place else, because unless management decides to renovate, the Oberoi's outdated, and awkward architecture may leave you wondering you paid five-star prices for a Ramada room on a very pretty lawn.
